Excited to try out this place due to all the hype and glowing reviews. But must be their off day, the 3 dishes we ordered were ok. Staff was pretty nice though. Probably won't return.

SEN has been on my list of Vietnamese spots to try for a while, given all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. Food Bánh Mì Pate Que (2) - $5.99 Served as two pieces, this Hải Phòng-style bánh mì came with pate, shredded pork, and a house chili sauce. The bread was nicely toasted and served warm, making it easy to share. Bánh Ướt Đặc Biệt - $14.50 Steamed rice sheets topped with pork patties, fried tofu, and fresh vegetables, served with a house fish sauce. The sauce leaned light and slightly sweet, which may appeal to some but felt a bit mild overall. Bún Chả Hà Nội - $16.50 Rice vermicelli served with grilled pork, pork patties, fresh herbs, and house fish sauce. Similar to the other dish, the sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor. The protein portions also felt a bit small for the price. Service My party and I were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. A server brought menus and returned shortly after to take our order. However, they did not check-in throughout the dining experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the food came out quickly. Payment is processed at the register near the back by the kitchen. Ambiance The restaurant is dimly lit with plenty of seating for dine-in. Location It is located in a strip plaza with a shared parking alongside other businesses.

I came wanting to something new with my partner. The place seempacked and lively and the service is humble and kind. I could say the food was delicious for what I got I was happy to get it fast. However I did get my second dish which I had to take home for I was fulfilled already with the first dish. My partner liked the presentation and the location is in a good spot for parking. The place looks pretty chill and modern vibe. I would come again.

came here on a Monday - there was plenty of seating inside. The aesthetic is very nice and modern with vietnamese murals inside. Although there wasn't many people inside the restaurant, we felt that we had to keep trying to flag them down because they weren't being attentive just talking to each other or on their phones. They have plenty of vegetarian options and specialize in dishes with fermented shrimp sauce (mam tom/mam nem). Overall the food was just okay, lacked flavor.

Food is good but their tipping gratuity is greedy. Automatic 18% for just six people? I don't know, I was a little flabbergasted.

food: good portions! everything was so flavorful. i grew up eating this and haven't been able to find a good restaurant til now service: everything was quick and the workers were sweet and attentive. ambiance: casual small place, but plenty of seating! it wasn't too busy

The restaurant service food from north vietnam. Very special "Bún đậu mắm tôm" " Bánh đa tôm cua " .....

Came here for lunch on the early side to avoid crowds and got a table right away. The menu is not overwhelming, it offers a variety of noodles such as pho, vermicelli, sticky rice...we had the Hue Tron Sen / dry which is very tasty however they use rice noodles (the one that's used for pho) instead of the clear hu tieu noodles. Mien tom ga was good on a whole but broth was bland. The restaurant is clean & service is good. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

This place always has long lines so o figured it was about time to stop by and check them out. It is a small restaurant kept very clean. The decor is very pretty and inviting. They have a tv on the wall which was playing the Olympics when we went. The service is courteous and relatively quick given how busy they are. The food was pretty good. My husband has the special noodle and was happy. I had the bun cha Ha Noi at $16.99. Love how it was displayed and I could make my own wee bowl. The flavor was this okay. I think I expected more of a traditional fish sauce the sauce reminds me more of a shrimp sauce tho.

Pretty good given the options nowadays (RIP Hanoi Ave). The bun cha had a lot of veggies, good amount of noodles and the pork in fish sauce broth. I think the broth was a bit sweeter than I like and not as smoky but still pretty good. Service was very quick like any viet restaurant. Ambiance was nice, typical restaurant.

I came to try their bun ca (vermicelli with fish), which was not as I expected. This is a northern Vietnamese style restaurant, so their bun ca is very different than the southern version that I am used to. It came with some fried fish and fried fish paste, and served with fresh herbs. It was tasty but did not hit the spot as I was craving the southern style bun ca. Service was fast and efficient. Overall, decent restaurant for northern Vietnamese dishes.

This place was recommended and wow so glad I went today!! Probably hands down the best egg rolls ever had in a bun!! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was incredible. The fish sauce it came with was also very unique. Not the usual ones you get at other places. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the other item we ordered. But it was also very good. The taste is more subtle and not overwhelming. Small menu but good choices.

I was craving bun cha and saw the good reviews for Sen. unfortunately it did not satisfy my craving. I don't think the meats are grilled to order. The meats did not have any char marks or taste and the fat of the pork had no crunch at all. The Banh mi would have been better if the baguette had more crunch. The noodle dish was bland. The best item was the cha gio and that was just ok. I had to ask the server for chilis 3 times after all the food already came. He only brought 3 small ones.

The noodles were cooked perfectly with a great chewy texture. They leaned a little on the sweeter side, but they were still really tasty. The sủi cảo were THICCCCCK in the best way possible! The wrappers had a nice bite, and the filling was juicy with that signature bouncy texture. We ended up ordering three bowls of Mì Sủi Cảo Khô, and everyone cleaned their bowls. The food was solid, but the service was pretty much nonexistent. The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive, although that's honestly something I've come to expect at a lot of places in Westminster. One thing that really stood out, though, was the condiment station. The chili oil, fresh chilies, and sauces looked dirty, and after tables were cleaned, the serving spoons and sauce dishes weren't replaced. I actually had to grab them from another table myself. Overall, I'd come back for the food because it was genuinely good, but the service and overall atmosphere could definitely use some improvement.

It's super casual inside with a very local vibe, and the kind of place where you come strictly for the food rather than a fancy setup. They're super well-known for their Bánh Canh, and for good reason--the thick, chewy tapioca noodles in that rich, comforting broth are incredible and easily the main event here. But surprisingly, their Phở Đặc Biệt is also excellent. The broth is deep and flavorful, the meat cuts are generous, and it easily competes with a lot of the dedicated phở spots around Little Saigon. To wash it all down, their Vietnamese iced coffee is a must--super strong, rich, and gives you that perfect, intense sweet-and-bold kick. Just a heads-up that the line can get pretty long, and the wait takes a while since they seem a bit understaffed. But once you finally get seated, the food comes out piping hot. If you're in the area and don't mind a wait for authentic, heavy-hitting noodle bowls, Mai Phung is definitely worth dropping into.

That is such a great price that I almost feel like I'm robbing them. LOL. During this recent visit, I wasn't too hungry so I just got a small bowl of wonton soup for just $7. It comes with 5 pieces of wontons. The only disappointing thing was that it doesn't come with one of my favorite toppings - tóc mỡ. It would've cost $2 to add it. I really wish they did include it.
