The place is small and a long time fixture here in Austin, you order drinks from a QR code at the table but no minimums drink limits which is nice. They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

There was a good mixture of subjects and types of humor. The crowd is intimate and the comics engaged with the crowd in a fun way. This is definitely a comedy club. My friend picked up a cool hoodie, albeit expensive. There are two rooms for the comedy. Service: Very thorough and professional with getting in - security, locked up phones (you take them with you and you get the bag unlocked after before you fully exit), taking you to your seats. Service was friendly by all and responsive. Two drinks minimum for any show. Drinks were well made. Prices are to the times. We had a show in the Little Boy room and it was decently sized, not stuffy. General admission only and I'm not sure if you get to pick and choose where to sit but we were sat at the very front. It seemed like a sold out show. All the comics were great in their own ways. Very funny material and to the times, just don't get offended about anything (some material especially from Brian Holtzman can be harsh).

Fallout Theater is a local gem of a theater that provides comedy relief and education for…read moreAustinites and visitors. The theatre runs shows on a nightly basis, usually after 7 or 8pm in the evening and simultaneously teaches a bunch of different comedy classes, including improv, stand-up, sketch, clown, and other one-off specialty comedy classes. Most of the normal classes run for approximately 8 weeks and are about 2 hours a week. The pricing for almost 16 hours of instruction is usually super reasonable (~$250 classes, or less than $15/hr). Most instructors are local Austin veterans and I've always enjoyed taking classes at the Fallout (at least for improv) and often end up being local community members that you'll see in shows or other comedy-related events. Shows are often affordable and a fun date night option that have different themes catering to anything you'd like. There's a small amount of snacks (candy) and a bar up-front for show attendees. Parking is relatively limited but not impossible to find. You can find street parking usually just one block north of the Fallout on 7th Street, 8th Street, Guadalupe, and Lavaca.
