As stated by Austin (claimed to be the manager). I arrived for my appointment and was informed that the online prices were promotional pricing, therefore, no additional military discount may be applied. Understandable, however, I asked Austin to show me where that promotional offer was stated in writing. Austin stated it's not written anywhere in order to verify, and that's how online pricing is. In addition, he disclosed "shop fees" that were neglected to be disclose online quote "out the door price" As I tried to state my point, Austin began to behave in a passive aggressive manner at which he deferred to not only cutting me of at every sentence but also speaking to me in a demeaning manner stating "that's the way online prices are big guy", and "I'll make sure to add your complaint to the long list of complaints". He appeared to have taken the matter personal from my observation. I stated there was no need to be referring to calling me "big guy" even after he knew my name. Ultimately, Austin's behavior was not necessary, yet it seems he may be experiencing frustrations from dealing with this online pricing issue. He eluded that this online pricing matter was a bigger headache than I understood e.g. "shop fees". If online pricing is a bigger issue, then at best the company should consider looking into properly disclosing all fees and charges, to include all promotional offers e.g. discounted prices on tires. This may alleviate continuous points of contention with pricing as Austin eluded to. Or at least consider restructuring the front staff as to ensure staff aren't being burnt out. Sadly, as a one time customer this was a disappointing business transaction and would not be returning back and will not be recommending Apex tire & auto to friends and family. Each staff person that has helped me has been great. I must report that after having brakes done, one of the brake pads fell off. But , I returned to mavis and they immediately replaced the brake pad and rotor, standing by their warranties. After new struts, my convertible top would not work, but I found the electric line where the joining plug had separated and we just had to plug that back together. I think it separated as they had to move things to get to the struts and did not realize it. But it was an easy fix when we looked around . This shop has been my go-to place for all sorts of issues , and I have often called them my heros, because they have been so good to me. Mavis has all sorts of crazy warranties on stuff too, and you can go to any Mavis anywhere, if you need to check a warrantied part. I did that to check my new battery In another state and they were equally helpful. ( and my battery was fine) . Not many places can get you in and out on the same day you show up, but they sure try . He made up some BS about he could see that the car had previous been in an accident which is why the bumper won't fit back on the car. The car has never been in an accident and has a clean vehicle history report. Regardless of that, I've owned the car now 4 years, never had an issue with the bumper until Pep Boys worked on it. When I explained that to him and the manager and that bottom line is that when I brought the car in the bumper was seated properly and after they worked on it the bumper no longer sits properly on the vehicle. All I got were blank stares. Not even an apology. The technician had the gall to ask but does the AC work, and when I said the AC was fine that the issue was the bumper he said I don't do body work, I work on AC and did my job. Then he tried convincing me to buy bumper clips to hold my bumper on. I was speechless. You wouldn't think a company like pep boys would hire such losers who would actually make up total lies to explain away their incompetence and shoddy work. STAY AWAY !! My most recent experience wasn't bad, but it didn't quite match the level of service I experienced previously. They completed the service within a few hours and at a decent price. I typically have my car serviced at the dealership, so I already knew what I needed when I came in. I think that's important at a place like this--you need to know what you want, or the cost can add up. That said, I do feel they provide honest assessments. Overall, they did what I asked, but the customer service was just okay this time. When I first went in, I was told they were booked for the day and to come back tomorrow. When my husband went in, they took the car and had it finished earlier than expected. So, while I would still consider using them again, I think my previous experience set a higher expectation for customer service.

Not long after my breaks begin to sqeaking, I returned to the shop under warranty they turned the rotors. One month later I returned they replaced the pads. Returned again replaced pads and turned rotors. This went on until several times even once after my warranty expired. My Nissan Murano was due for an oil change, so I went to the Avenue's dealership down the street, who does a courtesy 19 point inspection on every car the come in for repair. So I ask could their technician inspect my breaks for noise, they reported the pads or rotors did not need to be replaced due to ware, but that the parts used were substandard after market parts. I eventually went to another mechanic recommended by a friend, who replaced my pads with Auto Zone, Duralast gold, problem now corrected. I will never do business with this company again.
