I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with My Auto Works was too concerning not to share. This place is dishonest, untrustworthy, and will try to force your silence when their work has been challenged. They lack in communication and are extremely overpriced (as a plethora of reviews below confirm). A more detailed account of our situation is included below with an attachment of the agreement they tried to force us to sign to stay quiet: We originally paid approximately almost $3,000 for brake repairs. When the truck developed brake problems again while that repair was still under warranty, we expected the issue to be addressed. Instead, we were quoted another $2,300 for what they claimed were entirely new problems, with little explanation as to why the original repair had failed. We paid their diagnostic fee and sought a second opinion. Then a third. Both independent shops concluded the issue appeared to be the same warranty-covered repair, not the new repair My Auto Works was recommending. After asking us to bring the truck back so they could "make it right," the communication was terrible. We constantly had to call for updates, despite repeated promises that they would do better. The biggest issue was that they performed work we never authorized. We had made it clear we were waiting on pricing before deciding how to proceed, yet after days without any communication, we called and were told the work had already been done and the cost was even higher than the original quote. We never approved this work. When we declined the additional repair and asked for our truck back, they initially tried to charge us another diagnostic fee. After reviewing their own recorded phone calls, they admitted we had never been told that fee would apply and agreed to waive it. Then came the most unbelievable part. When my husband went to pick up our truck, he was handed a "Mutual Release and Non-Disparagement Agreement." They wanted us to agree not to post reviews, discuss our experience publicly, or have anyone else do so before they would release our vehicle. We refused because we believe customers have every right to truthfully share their experiences. They initially refused to give us our truck back unless we signed and told us we needed to call law enforcement to make that happen. Only after another employee admitted, "Roland f***ed up. He was supposed to have you sign the non-disparagement agreement first, but you signed your invoice first. So you're getting the truck back. Take the win and leave," were we allowed to leave with our vehicle. Mistakes happen in the automotive industry. What matters is honesty, communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by poor communication, conflicting diagnoses, work performed without our authorization, and an attempt to condition the return of our truck on signing away our right to speak about what happened. Poor communication, unauthorized work, conflicting diagnoses, and an attempt to prevent us from sharing our honest experience is not how customers should be treated. Based on our experience, we will never return. Head to "My Mechanic" for honest and reasonably priced work.

Was a great experience from start to finish. That was pretty cool we thought. They had the car finished about an hour earlier than we were told it would be done. That was great. Everything looks real good and we love it. I was referred to Excel Window Tinting & Car Wraps by a friend when I was starting a new business. Money was tight, so I was looking for a fair deal. After we agreed on a design for my truck wrap, I was told it would be completed quickly. Instead, it took about three weeks before I got my truck back. At first, the wrap looked fantastic. Unfortunately, that didn't last. Within just a few weeks, parts of the wrap started peeling. I reached out multiple times and received little to no response. When my business didn't work out, I asked about having the already-peeling wrap removed. Even though it was failing, I was told it would cost me another $500 to remove it. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, the final price was significantly higher than the original quote I had agreed to. That was a difficult surprise, especially since I was already on a tight budget. Fast forward three years: this truck has only been driven about 8,000 miles, yet the wrap is badly discolored and peeling in multiple areas. I specifically remember being told there was a five-year warranty, which gave me confidence in the purchase. I finally gave up one of my days off and drove back to the shop hoping to resolve the issue. The experience was incredibly disappointing. The owner seemed more interested in being on the phone than helping. At first, they actually suggested the peeling was a paint problem. I had to remind them, "You wrapped this truck." Only then did they acknowledge it. After that, there was no meaningful follow-up. I was told they didn't know who I was, couldn't locate my information, and that I needed to find my paperwork. I was then told the warranty was only one year, which completely contradicted what I remember being told when I purchased the wrap. From my perspective, I was misled about: The completion timeline. The final price. The warranty coverage. The level of customer service after the sale. And according to their records, I apparently don't even exist as a customer. I paid roughly $4,000 for what I believed would be a professionally installed wrap backed by a long-term warranty. If I had known it only carried a one-year warranty and would be peeling and fading after only 8,000 miles, I never would have spent that kind of money. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Excel Window Tinting & Car Wraps. I would encourage anyone considering a vehicle wrap to ask for every promise in writing--including pricing, warranty terms, and completion dates--before committing.
