My Son and I had an uncomfortable experience at RT tires today. I had my Sons car towed to RT. Drivers side tire was flat. My Son and I walked in we are greeted by a gentleman who asked if he could help us. I let him know our Prius was towed. He said let me check. One of the guys said yeah, I have tires for you... They show me the two tires. First guy says they are Bridgestone and the another guy says Michelin. We are all collectively looking at the tires, So I ask which one is it? Which made me uncomfortable... He said they are pretty much the same... I ask how much, he said $130 for both... Mind you, they were used tires... My Son said Mom just get them. I said no! I am going to make sure they are the best deal. And I also said, I've had experiences where tire shops price used tires too high! So, I told my Son. Hold on I'm going to look this up... So the guy said, oh I can give them to you for $125. Still, I'm thinking that's a little high for two used tires... So I said I need to check.. Then the guy says to the other, right in front of me... This is why I hate that we are open to the public, we get this!!! I looked right at him and said, you can be a little more courteous! He looked at me and was like... Oh! ... I felt uncomfortable, I wanted to leave. I'm moving to the door as I'm about to call my friend that knows about tires.. As I put my phone to my ear, he says I have your car parked out back, what do you... I stopped him!... It felt aggressive and uncomfortable. I said I will take them.. I wanted the situation to be over! I recommend if you are female take a guy with you... I unfortunately will not be back. And will make sure this posts to my Facebook, Twitter and IG where I have 5k followers. I will note: that when I paid for the tires and the guy said I would like to give you this card valued at $200, if you ever have a flat on the two tires you can bring it in, we will fix it... Ummm isn't that normal business???... He said: because things did get a little intense. For him to notice that, made me believe they did that on purpose! Knowing they created an uncomfortable experience, which should have never, ever happened. So as we were leaving and my Son who is 18 and thinks everyone is so nice and that they only want med to help us... says "take care" and one of the guys that helped us chuckles loudly as we exit! They better be glad they didn't get me closer to my period, I would have walked right back in there... Train your male employees to be more courteous and less aggressive. We had just had a very bad experience, we were both emotionally stressed from our experience.. Having a complete blow out on the freeway, my Son is a new driver. One thing I do not stand for is bad customer service. I have been in business for a long time. I value providing exceptional customer service and when people and business's are not capable of doing something so menial, it leads me to believe they are in it for the money and not for the client or for providing the best possible experience... Looking at the reviews it looks to be predominately male. So, I'm interested to see how other females are treated when entering this establishment. I might be up for an experiment... read more

Great customer service, great price on a tire (1/4 of what i would have paid at Firestone), and had me out the door fast. These guys are awesome! I never would have thought to get used like new tires but read so many great reviews that I called them up. They gave me a quote for what I needed and said that it was including tax, balancing, and discard of old tires and I was shocked at how great the price was. I was only going to get 2 because that's all I could afford at the time. I came down and they hooked me up with an awesome deal for all 4 tires. I could not pass it up. I'm currently waiting as they change them and I can see my car as they do it. I won't say how much I spent, but I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know. They definitely have great customer service. The only thing that could be improved is the waiting area space. I felt a bit boxed in, but at least the couch was comfortable. If you are looking for a place that won't screw you over and actually cares about their customers, definitely come here. Oh and I didn't have an appointment and even though it's first come first served, they helped me right away and with a smile. These guys totally made my day. I needed a new set of 4 tires for my Toyota 4Runner and got quotes from Big O ($900) and Pep Boys ($700). I saw the advertisement for RT Tire on the local news and figured it was worth a call. These guys really took care of me. I have a decade-old BMW and I wanted new wheels for it when it came time to replace the tires. RT Tire seems to have a relationship with a local BMW dealer to get wheels and tires from new cars when customers choose to upgrade. I got a set of these off of a brand new BMW with brand new standard BMW OEM tires for barely more than I would have paid just for new tires if I had kept my original OEM wheels. I recently purchased a new to me BMW 540i with 18" after market rims. Rear tires were shot and with the recent rain the rear end was getting squirel-ly due to hydro-planing. I first started my tire search, 245/40/18, through my usual go to tire store, Americas Tires. I stopped in and asked for a price for new tires. They offered an unknown brand through their website, GT, for $100 each plus mounting and balancing extra. All totaled about $260 including mounting and balancing. Guy at Americas Tire Store said I'd get about 8000-10,000 miles of wear. OK, NOT GOOD. Next step up, Falken Ziex ZE-912, $125 each plus mounting and balancing. Getting kinda steep here with the money and I'm not sure the brands are all that great. Well, I trolled Craigslist in hopes of finding the right tires, new or used, for an excellent price. Well, lo and behold, with my search parameters, I find a pair of Michelin Sport A/S tires in my size. I call the tire shop, RT Tires in Pacheco. They answer the phone and said they had them for $70 for the pair. An hour later, I arrive at the shop and find the tires on the rack marked at $80. A salesman, assisted me and went to ask the boss. "Hey are these Michelin tires $70 or $80?! Boss says $80, $70 was for a different size. I did not mind as I needed tires and the Michelin are the best! If they were new, they'd be about $250 each! Salesman was nice and suggested the Pirelli P-Zero Nero as an option. Michelin tires had about 80% tread left and Pirelli's had about 70%. Both were bargain priced but I had to go with the Michelin tires. Installation was a breeze. They had me in and out in time to make to work. Utterly fantastic deal on used tires! I must go back again and buy some tires for the front when my funds permit it. RT Tires in Pacheco is my new go-to place for tires! Thanks for the great price and great service RT! read more

BEST DEALS IN EAST BAY!!! I went here after I found them on CL. The guy that helped me was cool but as you would imagine for a used tire shop. I got a pair of Michelin tires that would have cost me $350 per tire plus mount and balance for $220 for the pair with 90% tred left!!! Not only that but I came back about 6 weeks later to replace the front tires on my BMW and they not only hooked me up again but offered to repair a flat for free. It seems I either picked up a very small tack or it came with but either way the took care of it. read more

I was looking for a set of used tires for a locally driven work truck that sees only 1500 miles a year ; had 10 year old tires (cracking ay the sidewalls) indicating the end of their useful life, I decided to come here after searching CraigsList and recent Yelp reviews. Boy, was I delighted to visit RT Tire and the Service shop at the back of the store. They had a set of good used tires to replace mine for $240.00 INCLUDING installation, mounting and balancing and disposal of old tires! I was in and out within 30 minutes thanks to a very efficient crew working together on my vehicle! I will definitely recommend this place to others needing tires. This store kind of reminds me of the 4day tire chain way back when- but for used- like new take off tires and wheels! I am so thrilled! Why? Because I am firing Wheelworks! After going to them for about 20 years. I've so overspent on tires with them. Not to mention some of the creative sales stories 'Clff' in w.c. gave me. CUST SERVICE: All staff outstanding courteous and respectful ( even to woman middle aged and nothing to look at). Any woman (excluding those w/ serious issues if you know what I mean) would feel completely comfortable at this place even w/ 5 men and you being the only person in shop. I felt as comfortable there as with my own brothers. Absolutely no red flag went off with their service, both sales and service-wise. SPEED; I'm shocked! Probably out in 1/2 hour or less. I didnt even have time to sit down. I even took my bird with me thinking I'd be waiting like Wheelworks did to me. Defintely abused by Wheelworks. They are so fired! I did get there about 10:30 seeing that the earlier in the day is usually better time. But really, the hours that wheel works makes you wait for simple stuff like rotation? I found RT Tires post on Craiglist-with photos of their store. The place looked exactly like the post, clean and professional. I bought an almost brand new set of tires that were a perfect fit for my car. They would have cost me twice as much at any other tire store. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. About two weeks later my girlfriend told me that she had a flat. Since I don't live close to RT I went to Another Tire Store and they took the tire off and found that the bead was messed up. A.T. tried to say that RT damaged the tire upon installation and RT said it was the others store fault. I took the tire back to RT and not only did they not haggle with me on whose fault it was, They gave me two tires in the same condition as the ones I bought before. And they let me keep my other good tire as a spare. Five stars for great customer service and professionalism. read more

I first went to these guys when they were in Benicia. They didn't offer mounting then, but had a good selection of used tires with a lot of tread at great prices. I recently needed four tires and went to see them at their new location at around 9am during the week. I got the tires and they mounted them in about an hour. About a week later, one of the tires wouldn't hold air so I went back to have them take a look. They noticed that the tire had a bad plug job and they would take care of it. Some might fault them for selling a tire with a bad plug, but it was so hard to notice when you knew what you were looking for I don't see how they tell during a regular inspection. I've used tires with plugs in them before and know that if done right, the whole tire will wear out before the plug has any issues. They did say if there's a problem later, they would exchange the tire for me. It's a no frills place, with just racks of tires and stacks of tires here and there but who cares. The guys in the front and installation area where friendly and got the job done. Highly recommended if you want to get a tire with around 90% of it's life left at more than half off retail. read more
