The restaurant was occupied but not full. Our server, Isaac, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave me great recs from the menu. I got the Purple Rain with the Langoustine and Hokkaido rolls. All was delicious and served quite quickly with no skimping on quality. We were all pleased with what we ordered. The service was efficient but not rushed. Eight was the perfect spot with a moody vibe for our chill girls night out. Please keep in mind they do have a dress code that's more business casual or cocktail hour attire. I'd definitely go back and suggest it to someone I care about.

If there was a sushi coefficient of freshness, quality, quantity, and cost, this place wins everyday. C= (Fr*Q*q*c) Fr: 9 Q: 8 q: 10 c: 10 C(Yokohama)= 7200 Don't get me wrong - the competition is fierce for delicious sushi (Fudo, MF sushi, Nobu, all the Omakase scenarios popping up in town). What this means is the cost (c) is way too high, giving it a low 1-5 in the equation. Also, quantity (q) is low, about 4-6. So, the resulting coefficient is very low overall. From my understanding, the fish here only comes from Japan, so it's good stuff - and they really load up the rolls (a lot of the time), and they have this deal on weekend for special rolls (25% off I think). So you do get the quality, quantity, and decent price (about $12-15 per specialty roll). The regular rolls are good too, and loaded with fish. E.g. spicy salmon/tuna. So, if you're looking to go crazy on some good sushi without restraint and without breaking the bank completely, this is your spot. family owned I believe, very nice and efficient service. Cozy/casual, not too fancy, but feels comfortable to dine in. No delivery unfortunately on any app, but that makes quality control better IMO. Thank you for your attention to this manner.

Needless to say, we are both familiar with and supportive of the restaurant. Unfortunately, today's experience missed the mark. As soon as we walked in, the energy just did not feel welcoming. We were really excited to come in for happy hour and sat at the bar from 5-7 PM. The restaurant was extremely slow when we arrived--in fact, we were the only guests there--yet it still took quite a while for the bartender to come over so we could even place our order. My friend was especially looking forward to the mussels, so she ordered those, while I ordered a sushi roll and we each ordered a drink. Unfortunately, she never received her mussels. The bartender, Tony, was not attentive throughout our visit, and we eventually had to get someone else's attention just to ask for our check. When we asked for the check, I made sure to mention that my friend had never received her mussels. The manager, Nick, came over, looked at the tab, and apologized. We explained the situation to him as well, but Tony was still nowhere to be found and never came over to acknowledge what happened or apologize. Nick did offer us a 15% discount card for a future visit, which we appreciated, but honestly, that wasn't really the point. It was about the principle and the overall experience. My friend and I have both worked in the restaurant industry for years, so we completely understand that mistakes happen. We're not expecting perfection. What matters is how those situations are handled, and unfortunately, we left feeling somewhat dismissed rather than valued. Despite everything, we still left a 20% tip because we understand the industry and don't believe one bad experience should define someone's livelihood. I'm sharing this because we genuinely love Osha Thai. My friend has supported this restaurant multiple times, has returned several times, and has posted multiple positive reviews about her experiences. That's why today was especially disappointing. We know Osha Thai is capable of providing the exceptional food, drinks, service, and hospitality that we experienced during the birthday dinner. Hopefully, today was simply an off day. Posted a review like a month ago, went in again with my boyfriend, he loves sushi. I thought the hostess was rude as shit!! She didnt greet us she just left us standing there while she talked to I guess the manager? After 5 minutes she waved us around like we should find our own table. We sat down an and I motioned her over to ask about the buffet , it was 2:10 she snapped at me " ya ok buffet over now." then she walked away. I MEAN RUDE! I realized that the buffet ended at 2:30 BUT we already lost 5 minutes just waiting for her to sit us. She sounded like fricken a cartoon her voice was so weird. So we got a waitress named Coco who was pretty cool. She apologized an said that the hostess was also the manager and she was sorry that she was so rude to us and that we had to wait. We ended up eating off the buffet and it was scarce but still ok. We saw the waitress with the purple hair from last time and she also apologized when we told her how shitty we were treated. Our waitress today, Coco was very sweet and just seemed worn out. We felt bad for her that her boss is such a nasty nag. We could hear her being rude to other people who asked about the buffet. She never smiled or welcomed anyone. Really ruins the experience when you walk in all excited and the first person you finally see is so crappy. We hope that Coco gets a job at a nicer sushi place, this ones going down hill. Im giving the place 3 stars NOT because of any reason but that our server was no nice and we could tell trying to be professional in a bad working condition. Out of all the Ru San's locations, this is the worst one. The 81 rating at the door should have stopped us from going in and spending almost $100 on a terrible dinner. Our waiter (poor thing) was trying his best to keep up with his many tables so either it was scheduled poorly or people called in sick and left this guy alone on a Saturday night. What is maddening is that the greeter/floor manager should be able to help him out by delivering his food when it comes up. Our sushi was warm and our tempura was cold. Plus, my husband found 2x hairs in two separate dishes. Again, an 81 rating should disparage anyone from entering the place until they get their shit together. The overall feel of the restaurant is DIRTY. I know it gets busy but I'm really shocked by how dirty the whole place was. We normally sit at the bar so maybe it's always this dirty and we never notice. Anyway, I know it's cheap sushi and all but there should be some sort of level it needs to rise to. Raw fish is nothing to mess around with and they should be really careful they don't make their patrons sick by the warm, raw fish they serve. Needless to say, my husband was sick the rest of the night. Long story short, the Kroger store in the same complex has better, fresher sushi that you won't have to wait for. As a devout fan of Ru San's for several years...I have recently been reconsidering my options when in the mood for inexpensive sushi. I guess, what it boils down to is this: What happened to human decency and compassion for others? If I have to sit and witness one more server at this establishment being berated in front of EVERYONE in the dining room, I might just lose it myself!! When thinking back at all the many times I've visited Ru San's, I can't remember a single negative experience with the service. However, it's the behind the scenes (although, in your face) action that I find disconscerting. The moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by the most unhappy woman (who I like to refer to as Mr. SmileyPants), who seats you in your assigned section. While the dining experience (excluding the "pots and pans" techno music) may be delightful, you are constantly interrupted by a man yelling at the servers from across the dining room (and sometimes while in the middle of your order being taken)!! Ho hum. Maybe one day people will remember that relationships (whether work related or personal) are invaluable. i ate at rusans sept 3rd 2010 where me and a coworker experienced for the 2nd time bad seafood.they charge me an arm and a leg for scallops,rice,veggies which made me sick immediately....m y coworker ate there shrimp fried rice on sept 2nd 2010 which she became sick immediately....we both experienced nausea,vomoting...i'm getting ready to report them on monday to the health department. i also work at a doctors office which we have seen patients on a numerous occasion for food poisioning from this particular resturant....not quite sure about the other location but the atlanta location is horible;im going to try my best to get them shut down.........please dont eat there if you are dumb enough to eat there please dont take your kids ...at least care about them......... thanks for your time into the mean time stay away for rusans!!!!!! read more

50 Health Score Alert!! 50 U Health Score Alert!! I went in today to get sushi to go. The health inspector was there. She made the manager put up the score from last year which was a 50 U. They had an outdated 84 posted. I asked the health inspector is the score better now? She said she couldn't comment but her expression said it all. I canceled my order but felt horrible that it was packed and all those people were still eating. A score of 50 is so dangerous dealing with raw fish! I'm so sad, I loved that place until today. I wish there was a way to give this place "No Stars". The service sucks and the sushi is even worst. I met some friends here and ended up getting sick. I spoke with management a few days later and they nearly kicked me out and said, "They don't want my business". I spoke with the food inspector and she said this is the only restaurant she had to give a "Ticket" to. Really? A ticket? I think this spot should be - shut down. Decent for what it is- cheap sushi. Food and service are inconsistent. The menu is way to big and overwhelming. Despite all of this I usually leave satisfied without spending a lot. I've learned to just stick with what I know I like and not venture, anything else I've tried because it sounded really interesting I've been greatly disappointed with. Got home and... bean sprouts all through it (see pic). Flavor was lacking, chicken was dry and probably my second worst Pad See Ew in Atlanta. If they can't nail this dish, I'm not back for round two. ‍ Honestly wouldn't be shocked if Green Ginger doesn't last much longer. The crab place next door just closed, and I've got a feeling they're next.

I'm glad I tried it on the way home because it was a lot better than when I got home since it became cold. The ingredients appeared fresh and the ginger set the roll off . I enjoyed the crunch of the asparagus inside the roll as well. The restaurant was small, quiet and quaint for a Friday night . The guy at the counter was really nice and energetic. He suggested I try the White Tiger roll when I return. I also had the pineapple fried rice which was a pretty large portion. The dish has a curry zing to it which I didn't mind. The shrimp were large and fresh. I would give this place another try but I'm not head over heels about it!

We ordered lemon pepper wings, tofu with Szechuan sauce and house lo mein. They must have been really busy with take outs because typically the food comes out quick but we waited quite a bit. Our food lacked flavor. We were also rushing since our parking time was almost over. I enjoyed my bubble tea though and even though our food took awhile, service was good.
