    Sashimi combo lunch
    Karen R.

I have been somewhat of a fairly regular patron at the Green Ginger down in Peachtree City. This was my first time at this location.. very different decor and slim down menu. They had a great lunch special going. And given that almost every other restaurant particularly the sushi restaurants in that area are closed in the afternoon abyss between lunch and dinner, We were delighted to find Green Ginger open. There's hardly anybody in there so we got great attention from the waitress. Looks like they do a pretty hefty takeout business cuz they had it all set up ready for somebody just to pick up and go. Very efficient just like they are down in Peachtree City. I look forward to going back

service was terrible 1/10 food was very very mid I ordered steak and shrimp and asked for my steak to be cooked medium and my waiter approved and put the order in once i received my food I notice my steak was slimy and chewy so it was cooked well done I asked my waiter whom was really nice if I can replace the steak for more shrimp and he asked the owner who told me no so I asked to speak with the owner who came over with a bad attitude and told me the food is already made so I have to just pay for it . when I told him I didnt order well done steak I ordered medium so it wasn't correct he got even more upset and said all their meat on the menu is well done so I asked why didn't they mentioned that beforehand when I asked for medium or I wouldn't of ordered it esp since my waiter told me yes I can get it medium !! he then turn around and yells at the waiter saying they only Do well done here and I felt bad for the waiter whom was physically upset and offer to pay for the steak himself which I wasn't going to let him do so in reality I paid 34$ (with 3$ tip for the poor waiter ) for 5 pcs of shrimp with fried rice ....... I sent the steak back to the kitchen . I see why the restaurant was bone dry empty , customer care is definitely not there 0/10

Table for 2 for Lunch As I got closer I noticed plenty of free shared parking was available, and I easily found a spot just a short walk from the restaurant. As I approached, I noticed outdoor seating and decided to wait near the entrance for my friend to arrive. The steady stream of customers suggested it was a popular place for takeout as well. When my friend showed up, we had a quick chat about whether to dine inside or out. I was leaning toward sitting outside (of course), and thankfully, he agreed. Although the day was a little gloomy and some sunshine would've been nice, we opted for the patio. The indoor dining area looked a little dark anyway. We were seated promptly and handed menus. Our server, Lukas, came by shortly after to take our drink order--we kept it simple with a couple of waters--and then started checking the extensive menu. What makes this place stand out is its variety: Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes all in one spot. On this visit, we were definitely focused on the Thai options. While they offered a few lunch specials, I was a little disappointed that the Massaman curry wasn't included. I went with the Panang curry with chicken instead, while my friend chose the chicken Pad Thai. My friend asked if some added spice could be added to his order and he advised he would mention it to the kitchen. The food arrived pretty quickly (under 15 minutes) --which gave us a chance to catch up while we waited. The lunch special also came with a choice of soup or salad; we both chose the ginger salad, which arrived with a spring roll on the side. Lukas, our server, was clearly busy but remained friendly and helpful throughout. My friend's meal didn't turn out particularly spicy, but he still really enjoyed it. I was happy with my Panang curry too--great flavor and a generous portion for a lunch special. I've driven past this place many times, but this was my first visit. Now that I've tried it, I'll definitely be back--especially since it's located in one of my favorite areas of town.

I tend to only bother giving positive reviews of the places I like. This place on the other hand I feel I should give a heads up. The sushi was inedible. Something was off about the tuna to the point where I couldn't swallow without a fight. I'm sorry. The staff were very nice and seem to be authentic. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day or I should simply try something else. The prices were actually decent, that's why I wanted to come here instead of the one right on the main road. My girlfriend reluctantly ordered the chicken. She didn't finish hers either. I'm pretty sure I learned my lesson. Listen to her next time she says "I don't know about this place" lol.

Food was fine and server was great. But the owners wouldn't honor the specials on their website (pics attached). First, she pretended not to understand me. Then, she said it was carry out only (it isn't). And finally, she tried to say it's not her website. All were untrue. With all the great options around, we won't be going back. May be harsh, but any trust is gone and we won't give money to them.

Not sure why I'm giving it 2 stars but here goes Customer service: Poor. It took the waitress 20 mins for each step (sitting, drinks and food and ticket). I couldn't even hear what she was saying. She wasn't attentive at all. Kept walking around us and attending to other stuff with only 3 tables. I literally had to walk to the hostess stand just to get the ticket to pay to leave. I asked for a cocktail comprised of 6 different ingredients and she said they don't do mock tails despite I was only asking for you not to add the vodka. No discount, no alternative price. Food quality: the calamari was so little and not all like the picture online. It's more batter than calamari. So crunchy and the sauce wasn't good either. Parking: this is the reason for the stars I guess. It's located in a hustling and bustling area in downtown Decatur with ample shopping center parking. I've been 3 times and 2/3 were bad I won't be back.

I like Green Ginger. What's not to like? The prices are excellent, as is the service and portion sizes. I went here a few years ago with Sharon M. And have been coming ever since. Today I had the basil chicken and the pad see ew. Both were tasty. I could have used a bit more heat in the basil but I'm sure I could have asked for some hot chili oil. The noodles were great and the portion was HUGE. I wish for maybe a few more pieces of broccoli but that is just a personal preference. I recommend this place for a business or fun lunch especially-dinner is probably excellent as well I just haven't tried it. I did notice that they have a rotating happy hour menu/specials and that is always welcome. My friend got the noodle bowl And it looked amazing so i will try that next time.

I'd honestly give them a 2.5 out of 3. We came here after a last minute change of venue for a birthday dinner. I've been to the restaurant years ago when I worked in the area and wasn't impressed then. Sadly, not much has changed. The coconut soup was ok. I added shrimp which was an additional fee and literally received only 2 shrimp. The crab Rangoon was way too sweet and almost inedible. The ocean roll was fine, but nothing special. I tasted some chicken from my husband's teriyaki chicken and steak dish. It was rubbery and gross. On the bright side, they do serve really strong drinks. Everyone in our party enjoyed the drinks. Although I probably wouldn't return, I will say that they accommodated our large party at the last minute. Emily was our server and she really tried her best, but another server should've been assigned to assist her.

My husband and I wanted some mid day lunch so we walked down Ponce De Leon and stumbled across this Asian Fusion restaurant. We ordered a super crunchy roll, chicken/shrimp lo mein, chicken & shrimp Pad Thai, soup and salad, and the steak (strip) teriyaki with fried rice. We also ordered some cocktails Rock you like a hurricane and a Strawberry cocktail that were pretty good. It was very good and the lunch prices were great. The ginger salad was amazing. There weren't alot of people there so customer service was good. There was also an up charge to add shrimp to the lo mein of $5.49 but it came out as a side of shrimp fried rice our server was new, he did well but was a little confused at times about what food was coming out. We ordered the Pad Thai to go but it came out at the beginning of the meal. Overall, the food was really good and I would go back.

It's been awhile since the last time I came. So, I decided to go and grab some sushi. The place was too hot to eat indoor as if the air conditioner was set on 75 or 76 degrees and it's 90 degrees or so outside. To charge customers that much money and can't spare air conditioner is RIDICULOUS!! The food is great as usual BUT realize if you order sushi, they have gone really cheap on rice when they wrap it in a sushi!! I normally order their tiramisu for dessert and they are usually decorated with design and cookie stick. Definitely not today. They changed so much since I last came especially eating with no air condition!

When I think about Asian fusion, my mind sends me directly past The Green Ginger. I've been frequenting this establishment since the early 2010's. When Mulan closed the location on Juniper St downtown, I was looking for an alternative. I happened to get a recommendation from a friend about this place. The restaurant was a whole vibe and the staff has been top notch. This is one of the better tasting fusion spots in the Decatur area. Their portions are plentiful and the many different dishes are robust in flavor. This isn't a hidden gem anymore, so stop by and give them a try!

This place worked out great for a quick weeknight dinner. I love that they clearly indicate if an item is gluten free on the menu. So helpful! This restaurant is Asian Fusion, which means that they have a variety of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean dishes. I had the Philadelphia sushi roll (my fav), the Green Ginger roll, and a glass of Meomi Pinot Noir. It was delicious! I have ordered Panang Curry from here before and I was happy with it as well. The service was excellent!

Interior was nice and clean. As soon as I walked in, the hostess just told me to find an open seat which was confusing because I thought it was a restaurant. Service was run by one poor waitress who was clearly overwhelmed. She did a great job running all the tables despite having nobody help her. I visited during their lunch hour which offers a lynch special that includes spring roll and miso soup. Spring roll was a tiny bite size but still appreciated the crispy roll. Miso soup was way too salty. Panang curry chicken 3/10 - watery curry, boiled chicken with bell peppers, I would recommend trying something else

The egg that came with the Ramen was hard-boiled, I wish it was soft-boiled (6-min egg) but it's ok. I loved the bean sprouts, green onions in there - lifted the dish. The Char Siu was seared to perfection. The other order we had was the Chinatown Lo Mein. Again, the serving looked small but was sufficient. Overall a little sweet, which is unusual as most Chinese noodles aren't made sweet. Thus this was a twist to the dish that I did not like. We also ordered 2 drinks: Yuzu Lemon with Strawberry Popping Boba & TDAK Dragon Fruit Fizz. Both were too sweet. I took both home and added more ice & water - 4 drinks for the price of 2! Yay! Jojo was an excellent waiter and he took care of the table very well. The last time I went was the first time I went so I went ahead and had him give the list of things that were good and the perspectives on the food. He knew his stuff and did it in great detail. Trained really well. Awesome experience . I took an Uber. I don't actually know about the parking situation but you can probably find parking because of where it's at. Just keep in mind that it's in an area where it's going to be pay-to-park so don't think you're going to get away with something for free . The ambience is nice and it's a lot more elegant than what you would think. Not over-the-top elegance though, not at all, but it is very neat and well-placed. Everybody is super friendly when you come in and the establishment is very clean . Shanghai pork belly eggs - I saw something that said that the deviled eggs were good so I gave them a shot and they did not disappoint. They were super flavorful. That was almost a little confusing because you had egg there and you had it lightly deep-fried and you had pork belly and you had what it seemed to be like was jelly. It was a whole lot of flavor happening at one time. I don't have any issue with it, not whatsoever. It was a really good appetizer and you get about four of them so you actually get to taste it and then taste it again and make sure you're tasting all the flavors correctly lol . Drunken noodle scallops and lobster - so the noodles were really good. They came in a little bowl with a tea light to keep them warm. That was pretty cool as far as optics go but the food itself was good. Now when you get something like seafood you kind of expect it to be little or not huge portions but this was a different story. They had two pieces of lobster tail in there so you peel the lobster tail out and you chop it up and there was plenty of lobster meat and the scallops that were in there as well were huge. You have to be able to probably cut those in half to eat with your pasta as you use the fork in the bowl. It was plenty of seafood. There was almost more filling in the bowl than there was pasta, which is crazy! The flavor of it was sweet and savory and it wasn't as if one thing carried the dish. All the way around the dish was good. Lemongrass steamed mussels - now these are pretty good. Originally I was going to order the soup on the menu but JoJo said that the soup was basically the broth for the mussels so I just went ahead and canceled that. They were good and they were savory. They weren't the best mussels in the world but they are really good and the broth had the lemongrass flavor everywhere in your mouth. Super good. Also usually you may get like eight mussels or maybe 12 of them but this order came with like 25 of them and it was a huge order so that's not to be slept on. It came with a really toasted bread that you would use for the broth at the bottom. That broth after you finish could definitely be used for something else. Very tasty . Overall this is absolutely a stellar spot. I have zero complaints about it. The food was good. The ambiance was great. The service was superior and they might have another customer returning soon enough . It was a great fusion of food and flavors.

I was definitely a little disappointed, but thankfully every other dish more than made up for it. Overall, Ruby Chow's continues to be one of my favorite Asian fusion spots in Atlanta. I can't wait to go back--whether it's for a date night with my husband or maybe even a birthday dinner. See you again soon, Ruby!

This is a very cute restaurant! Moody and sexy which is perfect for a girls night out, date, etc…read more I started at the bar while waiting on my friend. I ordered the salmon hand roll for $8 (happy hour special). I found the hand roll to have a LOT of rice and a little salmon. I think $4-5 is a better price point. They also had drink specials and it looks like wine specials on Wednesday's (I overheard a couple saying it--it was not offered by the bartender, which I found interesting). For Happy Hour I think their prices are excessive - with $14 for drinks and $8+ for tiny apps. I found service to be good. It took a long time for the hand roll to come out (over 25 minutes). When my friend arrived we both ordered the lobster fried rice dish. I could smell the rice was burned and it was when I tasted it. The server quickly replaced it and the new dish was fine and came out relatively quickly (much quicker than a raw hand roll). They also have valet which is $5 and I think you can park for the same cost as well. I found the restaurant to be very cute, food was good, but I wouldn't go out my way to return.
