We were assigned this plumber through our home warranty. He came on time, corrected the problem quickly, and cleaned up!

What we thought initially was a smaller issue turned out be a much larger one and the owners Joe and John both came out and put their heads together to figure out this very complicated problem and had every guy on staff here the next day... The team was here from morning till night, cutting out cast-iron, cutting holes in the foundation digging trenches you name it‍ but once they were gone, you wouldn't have known they were here. What looked like a war zone, lol was cleaned up and they made sure everything was up and running and working the way it was supposed to. A very large unexpected expense BUT for the amount of work that they had to do over here, the price was actually very reasonable. The most important thing was the hands-on care, effort and concern and to quote John, "we just want to do the job the right way for you so you never have another problem". Don't ever call these guys Rubber Duck Plumbing. They over charged me almost $700 to fix a leak in my shower that they didn't fix after all. To top it off I made an appt. with them to come back, which I took off from work to accommodate their schedule and then they never showed. read more

We had a small leak in one of our baseboard radiators, so I called our heating oil company. Of course, this wasn't covered in our contract, so they recommended Rubber Duck. John came over at the exact time he said he would. He assessed the problem, we agreed on a price and he left to get the required components for the repair. I've read the negative reviews below, but this simply wasn't my experience. John was polite and professional, did a great repair job, and left the room cleaner than it was before he arrived. Highly recommend and we will absolutely call Rubber Duck next time we need a plumber! read more

"Quality Professionals" is what they advertise but they are far from it. I was referred to them and spoke with a Joseph Nohs. He was a gentleman at first. I had a plumber come over as the issue I had was that there was no hot water coming out. The plumber in question showed up, looked at the heater and stated "it's shot" and quoted me a price of $4090. He stated it's because part of the repair involves a part that's about 1300 dollars. When I expressed my concern to Joseph in the price, he stated "you can either get it done cheap or get it done right" I tried to explain to him that I did not want it cheap, I wanted a second opinion. I never want to undervalue anyone's work but I don't want to disrespect myself and get screwed over. I could never get a word over with Joseph and spoke down to me like I am a child and yelled at me. He did give me a refund and stated "I want five stars from you". Be advised if you have concerns regarding price, you will spoken to like a redheaded step child. After getting a second opinion I was informed that replacing the entire heater would be half the price of the work that was "estimated" by rubber duck plumbing. I got a repair done cheaper through another plumber and the parts used were 25 dollars. The service was done cheaper but rubber duck was trying to just get money out of me. read more

They came to my house to install a toiled, there was a problem with the water pressure Andrew took my water filter apart because he suspected it was coming from that. He said the water filter was the cause and I needed a new one, he tried to oversell me with a $1200 unit which I didn't need. When he put it back together it wouldn't stop leaking ( mind you before he took it apart it was working fine, no leaks) he bypassed the filter and tells me since I don't want to Spend the money he's just going to shut it off I don't need a filter anyway. I called the office and spoke to the rudest person and business owner I've ever come across "JOE" as soon as I said the filter is still leaking and it wasn't before is all I could get out before he became very defensive, angry and disrespectful. He said " it Doesn't matter if your $#*!ty filter was working before, after we touch it it's now leaking and we're not responsible" I told him he was being very rude and not letting me talk, talking over me, so he says" I don't really care what you have to say I have thousands of satisfied customers so what you say Dosent matter to me" maybe he was having a bad day but it's no excuse to talk to a paying customers with such unprofessionalism..... I used rubber duck plumbing to fix my boiler. They fixed the issue. Before the plumber came I had a watch sitting on my kitchen counter (not smart I know) after the plumber left it was gone. He was the only person in my house besides my uncle doing work in my master bedroom. Called the owner of rubber duck plumbing and he got extremely defensive saying his guy would never do anything like that he's known the guy for years ... but joe the owner didn't know his receptionist /office girl told me that plumber just started 6 months ago 5 mins before I spoke with him. Joe the owner was very unprofessional, also when we spoke he was clearly intoxicated at a place with loud music in the back round. He told me that my contractor was the one to steel it not his guy. Not knowing the guy was my uncle lol All I asked joe to do was to question his guy and he couldn't even do that. The defensive attitude gave me my own suspicions . All joe was worried about was if I was going to pay the 1100 dollars for fixing the boiler. Which I did because my boiler was fixed, I guess I just had to pay a lot extra. I have used these guys twice in the past and was satisfied with the service. I called Friday night for an issue, and was told they would be here Saturday between 3p-5p. The plumber John is so fking awful guy. Every time he just showed up and found one problem out and fixed it and asked for more money which he needed. He is such a robber and no creditibility which he figured out another problem which he felt it was hard to fix, then he would tell u to wait his call and never call back. I feel completely ripped off. Had them come out to find a leak and plumber comes over charges me $139 to open Sheetrock. Finds the toilet wax is leaking then I get a high pressure sales trip to buy a new toilet. At this point I'm like whatever I want the leak to stop. This plumbing company was referred to me by Home Advisor. John came to my house and gave me an estimate. We set up an appointment to have the work done today, Feb. 14. I took the day off from work because John told me it would be any where from 2-4 hours to complete the job, possibly more. I asked if he could be at my house by 10:00 a.m. as I have an appointment this evening and need to leave by 5:00 p.m. He said "no problem". The morning of the job, I contacted John to find out about payment, and he confused me with another customer from yesterday. When he realized his mixup, he went on and on about the difficult job he was on yesterday, that he worked until 11:00 p.m., blah, blah, blah. I told him that did not concern me and I needed to know if he would be able to leave my house by 5:00 today. Turns out, he was returning to the job from yesterday, and had I not contacted him the morning of my job, John probably would not have shown up at my house at all today. Needless to say, I told him I would find another plumber. Rubber Duck Plumbing is completely unreliable. John talks way too much about things that do not concern the customer at hand. He seems very disorganized and unreliable, to say the least. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

These guys are true professionals and masters of their craft. I found them last year when I my heat wasn't working. At the time I was only a few months in the house I bought and found that the former owner did all his own work. It was the formers owners work that caused the heat not to work. We reached out to Rubber Duck plumbing spoke with Joe who came by and confirmed the issue was what we thought. We hired him to redo the piping for our heating system as the former owner did it all wrong. Joe and John came out and spent the day at our house repiping the heat and did not leave until he had us up and running. A year later, we find that the former owner did a lot of his own repairs on the water pipes and these repairs were failing. We called Joe to come in to repair the leak which he did quickly. Received a quote to find out how much it would cost to repipe the hot and cold water throughout the house as well as install a whole house carbon filter and reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink as well as get a gas line in our kitchen since we already had gas in the house. We decided to go ahead and get this work done because we loved the work he did on the heat a year prior. Joe and John came in again, and spent the day doing this work and as expected when it was all said and done, everything looked beautiful. Their work is great and because of this I don't anticipate having to call them anytime soon since all our plumbing is new at this point. If something does end up going wrong, I will be calling Rubber Duck to fix the issue. I highly recommend these guys. You won't be disappointed. read more

Our boiler broke on a Sunday morning, and we were calling every plumbing business we could find in the hopes of getting it fixed. Rubber Duck Plumbing came highly recommended, so I gave them a call. Joe, the owner, was very honest over the phone and said there are very few, if any, plumbing supply places open on Long Island on a Sunday, so he would not likely be able to fix the boiler that day. He did, however, offer to come over and take a look and at least identify the issue. As it turned out, the boiler was shot and we needed a new one. At this point we realized that we could either get another oil burner or upgrade to gas like we had originally intended to do next spring. Unfortunately, we had to make a decision, and then who knew how long it would take for us to actually have heat. That was on Sunday. By MONDAY EVENING (yes, the VERY NEXT DAY), we had a brand new conversion completed, and were resting warmly on our couch by 6:30 pm. No joke. These guys were amazing. Joe brought a whole crew of guys that worked for hours diligently to get the work done quickly for us. We got them pizza for lunch and they didn't even stop working to eat it! They were eating as they worked. I've never seen that before. Their attention to detail was outstanding. The quality of their work is commendable. They CLEARLY take pride in their work. Joe strikes again!! Can't say enough about these guys. Called and made an apt for 0800 the following day. Joe was at my house at 0755. A washer had fallen apart and clogged the hot water on the kitchen sink (that had also been dripping, prob from the same thing). It was diagnosed, cleaned and fixed within 50 minutes. Price was reasonable. These are def my goto plumbers. Fair and honest is hard to hind these days. read more
