Burrito Especial- No meat, add pinto beans and remove crema. My favorite combo!

Consistently excellent service and excellent food. This is my favorite Rubios location. I love sitting outside by the lake on a nice day. And I really appreciate the vegan and vegetarian options!

Recently, I had stopped at another location as I've been craving a good shrimp taco. Unfortunately, it left me still desiring a good one. I recalled Rubio's having good fish tacos when I last at fish/seafood. When I saw they delivered via Ubereats, I knew it was a sign I should hopefully redeem the lackluster ones yesterday. Rubio's didn't disappoint! Love that the salsa bar can be ordered on the Ubereats app, so you don't miss out on your favorite meal accompaniments. I got the coastal trio to try mahi mahi for the first time, and try the shrimp taco for the first time at Rubio's. All three tacos were delightful and would easily get for lunch or dinner again soon. Previously, I have been to this location and always enjoy the decor & vibe of the dining room. The staff is always friendly and gives me beach vibes. Definitely stop in or do what I did tonight, order via Ubereats.

Came in after a movie at the cinemark theater. Burrito was delicious and my yelp bestie Ari loved her protein bowl! Wish they had one of these in Casa Grande!

This location just not good. The street corn bowl had hardly any chicken it it for $13. I also ordered easy beans, but that did not come true easy. Just wasn't worth the money at all. $13

We may just a quick stop for lunch here. It was such a nice sunny day out and this was the perfect location to grab a bite to eat. There is a nearby lake. Food came out really quick and Service was friendly as well. Perfect day to enjoy lunch on a Wednesday.

The taco trio is really good for the flavor and experience. I also tried the lobster taco. I think they are all unique with their own flavor. Unfortunately the taco trio is quite expensive for dinner. I think they are a bit small but mighty. I heard there are lunch specials where they are cost less. They come with two small containers with rice and beans. The rice is separate from the beans. I think the beans had a smoky flavor. At least to me they tasted different than what I am used to. The rice was okay as well. I will need to try something else next time as a side to see how those go. The lobster taco was delicious and buttery. I don't feel as though the lobster has a distinct flavor. The crispy fish was crispy but needed to be eaten fast before the coating got soft. The salsa verde shrimp taco didn't have much flavor beyond the salsa verde. It also has quite a bit of mayo. The mahi mahi didn't seem to have much flavor for me either. The corn kernels were the most attractive flavor in it. The taco trio consisted of the following: The Original Fish Taco * Salsa Verde Shrimp Taco * Wild-Caught Mahi Mahi Taco

Come join us for taco Tuesday at Rubio. Can't go wrong with the original fish taco, delicious. Perfect for large families with budgets. $2.50 per taco. The 3 of us spent a total of less than $20. Service is fast, and the place is clean. Join us next Tuesday

I had been here a few times since it first opened, but it had been a while since the last visit. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and sat. Our server was very friendly and attentive. What We Ordered: ~ Angry Edamame: Always love edamame, and add some seasoning with a little spice - perfection! ~ Snow Crab (trifecta, spice level 3) + corn: My usual go to, but wish I did Level 4 though the server talked me out of it saying it's a big jump between the two levels. Next time, I'm going for it! Pretty decent flavor, though I've preferred other crab boils in the valley recently. ~ Fried Oyster Po Boy: My boyfriend said he wasn't a big fan of this comparative to the ones he has had growing up in Florida. Definitely a pass for next time. ~ Hot Honey Blueberry Lemonade: Very refreshing and perfect for the Arizona heat. Definitely love to see this drink on the menu or seasonally. Overall, a great experience with a low key atmosphere that you'd expect for a crab shack. Love the sinks to wash your hands! A great place for us in the east valley to get our seafood boil fix.

She had a bigger group to attend to so was a little slow but understandable. Food was okay but for the price... Crab: 3/5. For $85 bucks they should provide scissors bc the crackers did not work on the soft shells so was a PITA to get out the crab. And the seasoning doesn't get on the crab so if you like it you have to dip back into the bag. Lobster Roll: 4/5. For $20 bucks it was small but it came with a good portion of tender lobster and melted butter for dipping. The cajun fries were also good. This was out second time at this location bc our kids and grandkids love it but we wouldn't go back of our own accord as we expect more at that price point.

We probably needed more drinks because nearly all our food was extremely salty. The calamari appetizer was salty and it overwhelmed any other flavor. Our main dishes came out just after the appetizer was put on the table. The waitress apologized but still put the food down so we felt rushed. The lentil and sausage soup had only two pieces of sausage in it and wasn't very good. The chicken parm was the only thing that was edible. The pasta that came on the chicken parm had a very strange flavor in the sauce and I couldn't stand more than one bite. The atmosphere was nice. They could have chosen better music, but that's a personal thing I guess. The restaurant was clean. All and all I told my wife we should have gone to Olive Garden or Sal's Gilbert Pizza. Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Ordering online was super easy, and the website made it simple to customize everything just how we wanted. I had the Mexican Street Corn Shrimp Tacos, which came with two sides. She apologized and let me know they were out of cheese, and cabbage. I asked about the pico and other toppings and she apologized for not including those items, then grabbed them for me. They did forget the lines too which i didn't realize until we got home, which was a bummer. I called in before we headed for pick up and ordered a large guac and chips. I ended up paying 52 bucks and when we left my husband said, that's really expensive guac. I didn't even realize how much i was spending because the mess that was happening with our main order. I checked the receipt and they charged me for a catering size guac, and i only received one small tub of guac and 2 small containers of chips. If it was catering i would have got 3 large containers of chips with a big bag of chips. I called to get a refund and Kat apologized for the mix up. She let me know that they weren't expecting it to be busy and ran out of a ton of different things, so the day was kind of crazy. She told me that since i paid in person i could only get a refund in person and they couldn't do it over the phone. I stopped back in on my way home from our Mother's Day get together and it was a different supervisor and the kitchen was disgusting. Food everywhere, empty food containers on the counters. I was kind of shocked honestly. Night and day difference from 2pm when i was in there earlier. Thankfully i got my refund and will not be returning to that location anytime soon. The chicken and fish we received were so dry, but at least the guac was yummy and tasted fresh! The employees did the best they could with what they were set up with but whoever handles the ordering needs to rethink not ordering additional items for a holiday. It's one of my favorite Mexican restaurants here in the Phoenix Southeast area. This restaurant is located in a strip mall on the south west corner of Greenfield and Baseline. When you enter the restaurant directly in front of you is a counter with a cash register and behind the counter is the kitchen. The decor has a very rustic Hispanic feel. I love the little Tile roof awning they have when you first walk in and throughout the restaurant. There's seating in a room to the right of the counter, in a room to the left of the counter and outdoor seating as well. When the weather is nice, we enjoy sitting outside. They have it warmly decorated with trees and plants, which makes for a very relaxing environment. On our last trip, Juanita was our server and she was fantastic. She paid very close attention to details like ensuring our drinks were filled and when I asked for some extra green salsa for my quesadilla, she quickly brought me enough to finish what I was eating with my dinner plus some to take home for my leftovers. They start you off with chips, salsa, and bean dip. They offered their red salsa which is very good, but I am absolutely in love with their green salsa. So upon request, they will bring you some. Their green salsa has a slight sweet taste to it. I love dipping my chip in the beans and then dipping it into the green salas. There's just something unique about that flavor combination. For dinner I had the Carne Asada quesadilla. I normally get the mango chicken quesadilla, which is absolutely delicious. They also offer it with shrimp. Pretty much any meat they offer on the menu you can get in your quesadilla. This is the first time I tried the carne asada quesadilla and it was fantastic. It came with diced up Carne Asada that was very tender, loads of cheese and guacamole inside. It was really good! My husband got a combo meal that had enchiladas and a chile relleno. He also enjoyed his meal. He ordered his enchiladas Christmas style, which is red and green sauce on top. He said his Chile relleno reminded him of the ones his mom makes.
