I have been going here for a long time. I like this particular Rubio's because they try harder to make your dining experience personable and better each visit. Over the years I have seen staffing changes. When someone is new, that person will make mistakes. I don't get hang up on that. We were all young men and women once. I also see these young men and women become much better in a short time. The seafood tacos, salads or burritos are good quality. And where else can you get these for the price they offer? I recommend Rubio's for quality and price. I recommend this particular outlet because they try hard to make your visit a pleasant experience. read more

We love the food at Rubios, we have been to this location well over 50 times and have purchased their taco bar catering package about three times for our office. The staff is friendly enough and the overall eating experience is usually good except for the sticky tables. My one star review is for one reason. Rubios run a relentless email marketing campaign and several times the emails we receive are the catalyst for a trip there for lunch. We have tried to take advantage of their offerings about 6-8 times now. Each time, we printed the offer to hardcopy and took it in to the store with us. .... and... every single time it has been a nightmare to process the coupon in their system. try and fail, try and fail... call the manager to help... all the while, the line of customers is backing up behind you. This has happened every single time almost like their email offerings are a lost leader. We wonder if they are trying to make it so difficult that you just give up and say... "just go ahead and charge us the full price"... which we have actually done a couple of times. Our visit last week was the final straw... we might give Rubios another try in the future... but never again at this location!! read more

Terrible customer service. I order 2 fish tacos & a drink, after waiting 30 minutes no tacos. It was 3:50pm in afternoon so they weren't busy. I have to wait for cashier to come but can see the cook in the kitchen is on their cell phone. So I tell her I want a refund & she asked Why? Hmmmm 30 min no tacos! Then instead of refunding entire meal, she initially just rings in 2 tacos, I have to tell her I want a full refund including drink. When I leave she says, sorry we made you mad!???! WTF! So I ordered a bowl With a side of chips through Uber Eats. Well for the 2nd time in a row didn't get my chips but here's the kicker. So the bowl is supposed to have romaine lettuce. I get my bowl and it literally has 3 tiny pieces of lettuce and a TON of rice and beans with a few flecks of beef. A mushy gross mess. I read lots of really positive reviews about this Rubios and while staff is friendly the Mahi Burrito tasted like mostly Mayonnaise. The fish inside was good but not the sauce. Salmon Burrito was alright and the two shrimp tacos were tasty with sauce. If you really need shrimp tacos this spot is alright. read more

I absolutely love rubios! I've been going here for at least 8 years maybe a little less but I've always had a great experience here. If you want some awesome fish tacos I'd recommend coming here out of anywhere. I've never had to add sauce to the fish tacos I order. Just a squirt of lime and it makes the whole dish! The salsa is awesome and you can tell it's made fresh as well. I got my family food from here a week ago for their first time trying it. I usually don't branch out from standard quesadillas and burritos, but I tried the fish taco's and really liked them. I did also get a quesadilla on another occasion and really liked it, especially b/c it came with sour cream and guac, which a lot of places charge extra for. Also, it was crispy and hot, unlike a lot of places which come out greasy and soggy. I will probably go here again with my friends who really like this place. read more

Through my own personal forgetfulness, I forgot to ask for none of the chipotle sauce on my tacos. I was able to deconstruct my delicious tacos to remove most of the sauce (I find it an overpowering flavor for seafood, but that's a personal thing). Otherwise, my Argentine red shrimp was delicious. Service was quickly, fellow patrons were friendly AND my meal was free with purchase of a drink because it was my birthday. Yay! read more

First time visitor to ANY Rubio's restaurant. I ordered the 3 tacos of steak-chicken-steak. Upon pickup, the cashier was pleasant and friendly. He opened my tray and showed me what was in it. I had to take a second look, I wondered where the beans were. The beans were in a small dressing sauce sized to-go container (4 oz). Chips were good, but it's only a handful. I ordered an extra container of guacamole (1.5 oz)... and it's a tiny container for 99¢. The tacos - love the corn tortillas - who doesn't?! The steak was cold, maybe I dug into it too late. And they packed 3 steak tacos without one of them being chicken. A little disappointed, as I've never been, I wanted to try both steak and chicken. It was also my bad, I didn't catch it, since I looked at the tray before taking it. I also indicated for EXTRA CILANTRO & ONIONS. I didn't taste the extra cilantro or onion, nor did I see extra. The beans were good, I liked it, and I normally don't like pinto beans. I was not provided a paper copy receipt, it's ok, I have it in my email - again, online order. It seems if you order ahead, they don't automatically provide the to-go utensils & napkins as other restaurants do, so ask or look for them before leaving. Will I be back? More than likely not. This Rubio's is the best. The owner and staff are very personable. several of the front cash register people know my order when I come in. It is nice to feel at "home". I love the fresh made burritos. These are not made beforehand and sitting. You can substitute items and make it healthy with a wheat tortilla. They make their sauces fresh as well. Received a flyer card in the mail with coupons. The new shrimp taco looked great so I drove all the way there. Arrived to find the doors locked. Sign said their was a staff shortage & to call this number to order & they would bring it out to you. Ok. Got back in the van & called the number. I was ready to order when the person answered. This is by far my favorite Rubio's as I've been going to Rubio's for as long as I can remember. I can say this place does it right though for the past two times I have been here. Food is always good as I either get the lobster burrito or shrimp burrito with extra chipotle white sauce of course. I also order a fish taco on the side because it's a must. Anyhow what separates this location from the others is my guy Landon (the manager). He truly knows what he is doing when it comes to service, great energy and is not pressing with surveys or any of that stuff. I don't know what some of these other Yelpers experienced with him, but I'm on the opposite side of the fence and don't believe it really. He is there to help the customer and his team. Was able to listen to a conversation he was having with a member of his support staff about closing as they were cleaning up. He handled the conversation as a leader should by acknowledging and validating how she felt yet explaining the reasoning behind why they don't close early like some of the other locations. Young kid with a promising future ahead of him, I would hire him if I had a business that dealt with customer service. Ordered Rubio's on grub hub to deliver an order an hour and a half ago. Grub hub kept saying our order was delayed. It's now after 8 pm and they cancelled our order due to someone going into Rubio's and saying they are from grub hub and taking our order. Grub hub did refund our money but this Rubio's never verified the driver who took our food and now we are stuck trying to find something to eat after 8 pm and we ordered at 6:30pm. Second time this issue has happened I do not recommend this Rubio's because they obviously have their heads up their ass. It's extremely irritating when you get off work late after working a 14 hour shift and spend the time trying to order food for a family of 4 to have your order delayed then canceled after 8 pm and try to scramble to get it fixed when businesses are closing for the day, and the only way is to order pizza when it's not what you wanted. I do not recommend grub hub or this Rubio's on signal butte. Extremely irritated and will not give my money to either of these companies anymore. read more

This place gets three stars because the food is great and Jacob was great--they both deserve five stars. This visit was a definite one star, thanks to the "manager". I've been to this location several times without an issue, but I came in tonight and got a portion way smaller than usual. The guy who delivered the food said that was how it came. I explained it's been a way bigger portion in the past. He stated that's how things have always been. Despite seeing me frustrated, he walked away. I asked to speak with the manager and it turned out to be the guy who delivered our food, Landon. I've worked in food many years before and he had AWFUL customer service--especially for a manager. Jacob, a crew member, noticed I was upset and fixed the portion for us. Another girl came out and gave it to us. If you expect us to come back to this location, please educate Landon on how to use customer service appropriately. I have no issue with portion sizes changing, just a hint of customer service could have prevented this issue. read more

I love Rubio's but this location isn't very good at cooking beans.. I often taste to much of the shell which means they need to be cooked longer. Other than that this location is good but ya beans are pretty important for this type of food. We often drive further to the location on power and Ray so we can have good beans. read more
