Good food and good staff. This is white-washed Mexican food, but hey I'm not complaining. The atmosphere is just like any other fast food restaurant, with the exception of an outside patio. You can say this is a higher end Fast food restaurant, they provide actual silverware and they have a salsa and lemon island. I came here during lunch time a bit past noon. The restaurant seemed to be busy due to the long line and seat availability. Fortunately, the line didn't take long and I was able to find good seating with my GF. Ordered Item: the California Bowl and a the chopped salad. The California Bowl was good but I felt it was a cheap version of Chipotle. Which in that case I would rather eat chipotle, but It was actually still really good because I added shrimp and guacamole. The chopped salad also had shrimp. Nothing special with the salad, just average. Overall, this place is fast and the food is good. They have staff bring out your meal to the table. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the Salsa island which has a wide variety of spices form mild to hot. I really enjoy coming here during lunch, so I will definitely be back. read more

Redeemed a free taco here so going in I felt happy as a shrimp taco. Speaking of shrimp tacos, that is exactly what I ordered. Shrimp, avocado, and bacon in a taco - what more can I ask for? One taco was decently filling, and I was pleased. Customer service was superb. From the moment I went in, the manager greeted me immediately. This place sucks! Ordered a burrito with a drink to go and when I went to put soda (sprite) in my cup, the soda had black stuff, so I threw it out and did it again and again the same things. At this point I go tell the cashier and she tries to give me a can soda as a replacement for a $3.21 large drink, I was like no, I want my money back it's okay. What bothered me most was that she didn't bother to put a sign or stop the soda machine to clean it and that's just unsanitary. read more

This Rubio's location specifically has great service. My boyfriend has an avocado allergy and asked for it to be left out on his tacos. I'm not sure if the person taking the order didn't hear or what but when we told him we asked for none, they promptly replaced his order, no questions asked. Another time, we didn't notice their street tacos came with avocado because from my experience that's an extra you have to ask for. We told the manager sorry we didn't notice the description but he wouldn't be able to eat it. They took it back and replaced it right away and were super friendly about it. The Fish is Fresh! Wonderful Authentic South of the border food. I have eaten at Rubio's many times in the past for work related lunches. The food has always been very good. This last time I took my Pastor to lunch and tried the original Fish Taco's Never had them before. Wow It Popped with freshness; I could taste each of the individual ingredients: First the corn tortilla was fresh and just enough crisp, if I were to change anything I would use 2 instead of the single, the first thing that hits my taste buds is the crisp thinly sliced cabbage, then the white sauce was not overboard allowing the fresh flavors to come through. The fish was amazing the crisp outer coating of the breading they use is not the star....the Fish is; moist, tender, fresh, delicious. DID NOT taste frozen. . Amazing meal! read more

The staff is always super friendly and the restaurant usually is clean and well stocked with salsa, condiments etc. this place has a ridiculous busy period m-f from about noon-1...I know big shock it's crowded at lunch time. But it gets crowded to the point that many times you will not be able to find anyplace to sit. The majority of the outside seating is uncovered so you may be taking your order to go whether you like it or not. Come any other time and the place is a ghost town. The gourmet chicken taco is my recommendation. Great, fresh taco with cheese. Pretty awesome. 3 stars because it's consistently good. read more

I went in today 9/13 around 10:45am. No one was at the counter and their were 2 cook's that you could see. The 2 cooks were talking w/ each other, as one of the cooks was cutting meat & one of the cooks, cindy or sole, (not sure which one she was), she was leaning on the counter relaxed just talking away, if they are open there is food on the assembly line. She did not have on a hair net. I said, "Excuse me, are you guys open?" Both cooks looked at me & said "yes" and went back to their conversation. So I said, "well can you get someone for me please?" "Are you not wearing a hair net?" (to the female cook) she proceeded to tell me she is not prepping any food and those excuses of her not being prepaid behind the counter. i informed her that if you are near food or working in the kitchen you need to have a hair net on. she got her attitude so i let her know this one will come around that counter and give you the business. When asked to speak w/ her manager (cindy or sole) she also had the same excuse and i looked her dead in her eyes and informed her you know if she is a cook or in the kitchen dealing w/ food she needs a hair net on. how i know she is a cook she is wearing a hat. like come on this is not rocket science. The manager/ shift lead on site didnt have anything to say after that. when i asked for a corporate number she handed me a card with the name "Paul". Paul quit like a month ago. This girl must think I am stupid. I have contacted a OC health inspector who will look into this issue. This company has turned into a joke. read more

Wow this place is awesome! I came in to get my complimentary bday meal and at the bottom of the email says they may ask for my ID to make sure it is me (which is fine) and they'll cover up to $7.00. So I came in and got the burrito especial steak combo. That was more than $7.00 but the nice gentleman didn't even bother asking for my ID and wished me a happy birthday anyway. My bday isn't till next week but the fact that he wasn't tripping over it was cool PLUS he basically gave me a free meal without having me pay the overage! AWESOME!!! I definitely give this Rubio's 5 stars cuz not only is their food fresh and yummy but they're all about customer service and are super friendly! Confession. What brought me to the area which isnt far from house was epic bbq. You ever crave something you can taste it, smell it and cant waittttttt to get there. get there and the damn place is closed. What up epic bbq. Anyhow walked over to Rubio's for lunch. I loveee their beef tacos. One thing i did notice about this location was everyone was sooooooo friendly. I noticed people knew the people behind the counter and visa versa. We have come here several times of the last couple years because I am a sucker for their shrimp tacos. Usually the staff at this location are friendly and decent, but tonight was a joke. The cashier was clearly unenthusiastic about her job and the gal who brought the food was about as rude as they come. Brought one of our orders wrong, I ask for the correct food, she rolls her eyes and tries to argue that it wasn't on the receipt. I attempt to show her the receipt (with the correct order) and she refuses to look at it, rolls her eyes AGAIN and walks away. Then she finally brings the right food, damn near drops it on the table while she mumbles something, and I said "pardon me?". She AGAIN rolls her eyes, doesn't answer and walks away! The service and friendliness is awesome and their kids lunch is perfect size for little ones under 8/9 yrs. My california bowl w mahi was very generous and I ate almost all of it. I hardly ever go out to eat since most places are not fresh. But this place I can trust and rely on! This branch is better than the one in Glendale.
