Restaurant was so busy today. We came here at 5pm not too late not too early. We ordered and we literally waited 40 minutes for our food. They were slow and must have been short staffed. I only seen one guy running around delivering the food to the tables. AC was so cold, I had to ask for them to change the temp. Floors were sticky which was horrible. Everything tasted fresh and came out nice and warm. Let's be real everyone only comes here for the lunch buffet. Other than that, I've never been here pass 2pm. The fried chicken is very juicy and they do have a nice selection of pizzas. Made a large order of almost $200 and had it delivered. Well we are very frustrated because the large salad did not come with Italian dressing as we requested, we only got 3 little ranch cups that seem to be used as dipping sauce for the pizza because there's no way with that much salad 3 small cups of ranch would cover it all. On top of not providing the salad dressing the Hawaiian pizza we ordered only had pineapple. They forgot the ham. My Boyfriend & I have been there for the iconic Bunch a Lunch buffet several times recently & the food is still good & the original staff is still there...yay! The new owner/manager is very welcoming & aims to please. There's been a few new tweeks but the fact that a buffet even exists in this post Co-Vid world is a rare & much appreciated thing. The fresh pizzas, featuring a wide variety of toppings are still terrific & the Fried Chicken is still delicious. The staff failed to ask delivery driver to confirm uber eats's order. The order got stolen and they refused to remake the order. And after failing to prepare the order for the customer, the restaurant/staff who was working on 12/11/2025 at 6:00PM shift contact uber to falsified report that the driver was stolen the order. It's dishonesty to the finest. You can check the camera at that time and the staff was saying someone was picking up which is no big deal but failure to prepare food for the customer is one thing, trying to get someone losing job by lying is entirely different thing. I read the reviews and should have avoided the place but because I wanted to see for myself I went anyways. The quality of the food is just really bad. Such as shame because Shakeys use to be one of the better pizza chains. Also, while I appreciate that the manager does reply to the Yelp comments, they seem to be copy paste responses. Which tells me that they really do not take these comments and suggestions seriously. We saw some people asking for fresh chicken. This was horrible! We should have followed our intuition when we got there and noticed the parking lot was empty. Came here for the happy hour specials I saw advertised on social media. Meh. I got the 6 wings for $6.99 (just $1 savings) and a pint of draft beer (also just $1 off). This is probably one of the worst places to pick up from as a Dasher or Uber eats courier. When you enter, you're supposed to go right up to the counter and pick up the order, but instead they make you stand in their atrociously long line, which in return makes you late for your orders. Majority of the workers in this place are incompetent and have no idea how to multitask as a regular human being. With how long you have to wait in the line to pick up the order, the food isn't even hot anymore. It sits there on the counter, waiting to be picked up, but you're not allowed to pick it up unless you're in line. Management at this place needs to teach their employees how to work with DoorDash and Uber eats orders. It has come to the point that anytime I get an order here, I decline it to make my days easier. read more

I actually love their pizza. It's crispy and flavorful. I've done a few "to go's" of their bunch-a-lunch and for ~$12, you can get 3 slices of pizza (it's tiny though) and 2 pieces of chicken and you can take as much of anything else on the lunch bar. The chicken is also delicious and cooked perfectly. Crispier than KFC and has it's own delicious taste. Never dry, from my experience. Mojo potatoes are also delicious. I'm not a fan of the rice or any of the frozen vegetables, unfortunately, which are a bit overcooked and being in the warmer, not appealing to me. Get the chicken, pizza and potatoes and make yourself a nice fresh salad at home. If you eat in, it's AYCE. read more

I've been here a few times now, usually for the bunch of lunch. The key is to go early enough when the food is fresher, I'd say before 1 pm. After that it gets dried out. Even before that some things are bland, but their fried chicken is quite good. Crunchy on the outside and well-cooked on the inside. Surprisingly, the baked chicken is even better, very tasty and tender when they have it!. The mojos are great, the mashed potatoes aren't bad and they have salad items which are decent. The pizza is fair at best but it always has been. The environment is loud when there's a lot of people there, like a loud high school cafeteria. I never had any complaint about the service.
