Food was ok. The steak was very under seasoned and the salads were lame. Very crowded wait times we were told 45 minutes but it was two hours. Appetizers were ok. A fail on pretty much all accounts. They are a mess in this place. We sat outside and were overwhelmed by a strong cleaner smell and the cigarette Smoke from the patrons next to us. First they brought out one of the two appetizers we ordered, followed shortly by my pre meal chicken noodle soup, which was quite good. Then we waited a very long time before they brought out the hot wings appetizer and my dinner of pasta at the same time, and they presented the wings to my husband as if they were his meal. He waited for his dinner, an elk burger, while I ate my dinner and he ate the wings. We waited and waited, I finished my meal and asked for a box and the check, they never brought us his burger and so we paid and left because the rest of what we ordered was not good and quite pricey. We love staying in the small town of Keystone and this restaurant is exactly what you would expect. If you don't want to fight with flies for your food at your table then this is not your place to go. I am shocked that the people around us were ok with flies landing on their drink cups and tables and we had to swat the flies away from our food then were so disgusted we told them we didn't want the food anymore and we wouldn't be back. We didn't even take our food home because if we had that many flies at our table imagine what's going on in the kitchen. I am going to say this and this will sound unbelievable but after we ordered before our food came my husband actually took his hat off and killed a fly that landed on my shirt and we thought maybe we had killed the one lonely fly and it would turn out to be a good family meal. Well that was the furthest from reality and was as far as it could be from what would be to follow. $156.00 later and that was for four kids and two adults, we are on our way home disgusted and not even wanting to lick our own lips waiting to take a shower. I don't know how in the world anyone gives this place the stars it has to get us to have gone in there because we checked the ratings first. Seriously, save yourself and your money the disgusting, ruined supper. If we could have given it a zero, we would have. We had lunch here while touring Custer State Park. Food was excellent I ordered Indian Taco on fry bread. It was huge and lots of chile on top of the beans. Hubby had the prime rib sandwich and said it was very good.Service was immediate. Perhaps because it is the start of the season so that may slow down with larger crowds. Decided to eat here after watching the little variety show in the red garter saloon. Big Dave is a funny guy. My son and I had the buffalo chopped steak and it was great. Always try to order the different types of meat when in that area because can't always get that in Texas. If you want to drink you tab will be separate from the food bill, different waitress also. We actually had the same bar waitress in the restaurant part that we had in the saloon but that was just luck. Pepsi products so if you are a Coke/diet coke person like me you will have to find an alternative. The show in the saloon was also enjoyable. $5 bucks for a short scene from an old west shootout a couple of songs. If you are looking for broadway don't go but if you just want to enjoy some family time with some comedy, gun fights and songs then enjoy. read more

The best thing about this place was the prickly pear margarita. The sweet potato fries were not impressive, the fish was not fresh and the hostess and waitstaff have a lot to learn about good service. There are better places to eat in Keystone. If you're dying for a show, eat first. read more

Overall, not overly impressive, but the food was okay. The house salad was lettuce and croutons. Each member of the family had the steak, mine was tough to cut but had good flavor. My baked potato was good and tasted like it was from the oven. Clean bathrooms. Friendly wait staff. No homemade desserts. It was interesting that the bar and restaurant was separate of one another but wait staff from each section works well together. Yes this place is "touristy". It may be a bit expensive for what you get (see touristy), but given where it is located, it is a fun place to go and finish up a day of sight-seeing. Food was not amazing but it was good -- about on par with a typical Longhorns or Outback, but with some regional variances. The decor is fun, and our family had a good time. read more

Touristy and little pricey but decent for full day of Crazy Horse and Mt Rushmore. Clean.

I would not suggest to eat at this place. The inside was cool but that was about it. We came here for dinner and right when we sat down we were asked what drinks we wanted. I asked for a sweeter red wine and the lady suggested a Shiraz and my boyfriend got a beer. Our drinks came out and and the check came right along with it. So you will have two different servers which is not the greatest especially if your paying with a card. So you will have your drink server and your actual waitress. This wine was not sweet at all it was dryer then a fart! The bar waitress got our money wrong twice! Our food server was very nice and helpful. We had the Buffalo meatballs to start which were very good but then for our regular meals I had the chicken Parmesan which was disgusting. The chicken was extra greasy and so dry I had to ask for a red sauce on the side so I could dip it in. My boyfriends fries were cold and had absolutely no flavor. We stayed nearby during Sturgis Bike Week, and ate out every meal. We patronized this restaurant a few times and each time had a fabulous meal. the wait staff was very attentive, and was always willing to make suggestions on meals. We were able to make reservations, which was helpful due to the influx in travelers for that week. The prices were VERY reasonable. We highly recommend! read more

This was the worst food in Keystone! The country fried steak was awful as was the steak. Nobody in my group finished their meal. The service was terrible so when we picked up our check we were a little upset at the crazy price. Lesson is this.... I am certain Keystone has not got a single decent restaurant in it! read more

Good variety. But the food overall was a little bland. We went there for the kids menu because it had more than just the usual burgers and chicken strips. Husband had the walleye - which was not great. I had the huckleberry chicken salad which was ok. Kids had spaghetti and corn dogs -which they enjoyed. read more

We stopped here on a recent trip. I loved the decor, and that is what drew me to choose the restaurant. I ordered the parmesan crusted chicken, which was very good! I also got onion petals, and I loved them. They would have been better if they had come with a different sauce, such as a French onion dip, and not ranch (a cop-out sauce which I am allergic to). The price for my meal was on the high side (about $20, versus the $12-$15 I would pay at a local restaurant at home), but not unexpected in such a tourist area. My husband had the buffalo ribeye and baked potato. The steak was perfectly cooked at medium, tender and juicy, something alot of restaurants can't seem to get even with beef. The baked potato was served like an afterthought, with no butter or sour cream other than the whipped butter that came with the bread. The price of his meal was reasonable for the portion size, had it not been for the dull potato. I had to ding one star for the price and the potato, otherwise it would have been a five-star meal. read more

Came in after hot train ride and was seated quickly. Our waiter was quick and very pleasant - shared information on the history of the building. We had prime rib sandwich and a huge club sandwich for lunch. - drinks were kelp full and reasonable priced - bathroom was busy but very clean considering - would go again for sure!
