So for a place that boasts authentic NY style bagels, i had to come by. Being from NY, we take pride in our bagels. I got a mixed bag of bagels, they had a bunch of different options. Immediately got the egg bagel and when I tell you. It was delicious, bit into it fresh and it pulled apart so easily. Was perfectly soft while also having give to hold stuff. I got a spinach asiago bagel and that one was delicious as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Gave me a complimentary bagel to try it out. Small location but its a bagel place, honestly captures the feel of a bagel place in NY, no one hangs out. They grab their stuff and go. Bagel sandwiches are a tad bit pricey for me, but the bagels themselves? A dozen for 26 bucks is not bad at all, especially for delicious well made bagels

Yesterday I decided I wanted to go out by myself and get something for brunch. The place I intended on going to was extra crowded but I saw Ruby's Bagels was in the same plaza area and I e been wanting to try them. The atmosphere is chill and they have an amazing assortment of bagels in which I bought a dozen of. They also have a great assortment of cream cheeses in which I bought the Oreo (yes I said Oreo) and the veggie cream cheeses. I bought an ice coffee (you but the cream and sugar in it yourself) and I had the Rico bagel with cheddars jalapeño bagel. Sooo good.

Bacon habanero bagel with cheese and eggs and Izzy lemonade and a late with roses for Mother's Day ... A delicious combination plus an excellent service, everything is delicious and everyone is super kind and nice. I'll recommend this place to everyone!!

The bagels are Sooo good. My gavorite is the rosemary bagel. They have varieties for everyone. The crème cheese is also good. I'm partial to plain but the oreo is amazing also. The staff is so friendly every single time I come in. I am so impressed with this place. You must come see for yourself

Service: order at counter. The cashier was very nice and welcoming. Ambiance: very small space. Works well for takeout. Food: wow! These bagels are delicious. Perfect texture and surprisingly large size. The flavor is great. I got the French toast one and my companion got the blueberry. Both were delicious but I think the blueberry one was off the charts. Definitely try this place out - it's a hidden gem!

Came back to the location in nexton ordered the usual bacon because they only had a small selection of muffins. I received looked to be about 3 pieces for $3.89. I'm glad I opened my box before leaving out because this review may have been worst. They definitely agreed with the fact that the small amount was displeasing and added more for me. Thanks for the quick and accommodating service. It was a little after 7 in the morning so they look to be still preparing things and doing a little training. Again thanks and the bacon was delicious.

So I had to spin the block again and try Ruby's and I think I found my new go to. The bagel pizzas at Ruby's NY Style Bagels in Nexton are a fun and flavorful twist on traditional bagels. The meat lovers pizza bagel was loaded with savory toppings and hearty meats, all balanced nicely on a chewy, New York-style bagel crust that held up well under the toppings. Paired with the sun-dried tomato Asiago bagel was chefs kiss. The pepperoni and sausage pizza bagel was equally satisfying, with crisp edges on the pepperoni and juicy bites of sausage that made each bite rich and tasty -- almost like a mini pizza with a signature garlic bagel base. It's a creative menu item that's worth trying if you want something beyond the usual bagel and cream cheese, and it pairs perfectly with their coffee or an iced drink on the side.

The scent of a freshly baked bagel and coffee filled the modern, decorated restaurant. "Served open-faced with cream cheese and your choice of bagel, tomato, red onion, and capers." Bagel &Nova Lox has become my new obsession. The team works quickly to Greeted each customer, and the flow appears effortless.

First time here! Wasn't busy...tons of operations as far as bagels, sandwiches, coffee and even types of bagels and cream cheeses!! Food didn't take long...was hot and fresh...and definitely want to come back and try something else! I ordered a plain bagel with egg and added caramelized onions and bacon! Was perfect and hit the spot! Everything is nice, new and clean too! Brand new building! Would highly recommend

Wow! When our Long Island native friends recommended this place, we knew it had to be legitimate--it is!! Bagels are outstanding!! They have that soft yet crunchy exterior, and the flavor denotes fresh ingredients. Superb. The only caveat: they use foil for to go orders. This can make the toasted bagel "soggy", so we immediately opened our orders to avoid the moisture build up. Next time we'll request paper. Nonetheless, a solid 5!!! Cheers! RS

Breakfast run .... Rubys Bagel was down the street from the AirBnB .. it's a nice cozy spot .. the New York train signs added a special touch since it's NYC themed .. I got the RICO bagel that was suggested by Begonia ... a fried egg , turkey bacon , avocado, cheddar , chipotle mayo ... so unfortunately after getting back to the AirBnB I noticed that my bagel had 1/2 turkey bacon 1/2 pork bacon .. so I had to drive back to get the correct bagel ... The gentleman made me a fresh bagel and had me check it before leaving anc it was made correctly. Overall the bagel was good ... nice and fresh i wish I have gotten extra chipotle mayo .. the avocado was also fresh and a healthy serving and the egg was cooked perfectly. Other than the hiccup with the bacon everything was perfect try them out if you are in the area

Tried this place a couple more times. Although they still have limited vegan options, still have decent New York inspired bagels. Drinks are not too bad either my kids really love going here often since they're not vegan. The service for me has been hit or miss. Sometimes very friendly staff, sometimes staff that seem like they'd rather be somewhere else. The inside of the restaurant is decorated to make it feel like the New York subway, but cleaner.

My husband and I came here on our first morning in SC right after we moved here from out of state. I ordered the "vicious benny" which was eggs benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce. Everything about my benny tasted like it was meant for Queen Elizabeth (RIP) or someone of high caliber to be eating. It was so freaking good, that it didn't seem worthy of my peasant palate! In addition to the huge, fluffy, amazing biscuit, they did not forget to make the ham & hollandaise just as fantastic; ham had lots of unexpected flavor and I wanted to drink a bucket of the hollandaise sauce as I'm 100% sure it's the BEST one I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back as soon as possible and would recommend that anyone/everyone do the same! :)

So after plugging in "gluten-free breakfast in Summerville" here on Yelp, Vicious Biscuit was one of the choices. Located in Nexton which has quickly become one of my favorite areas to find good food in Summerville. Upon entering. I was greeted and given the opportunity to glance over the menu without being rushed. I let her know of my gluten allergy and she was quick to provide me with options. They have so many gluten-free options to choose from. It was my intent to dine-in but I needed to leave. I ordered a gluten-free biscuit with sides of grits, chicken sausage and a scrambled egg to-go. I was offered a cup of water as I waited. The restaurant had several customers dining in. The seating area is very spacious and I loved all of the natural lighting coming in. There's a bar with so many types of butters, jams and etc to choose from. One of the workers came over to help me and answered all my questions. That sweet potato butter was divine!!! I needed to use the restroom before my next stop (I hate public restrooms by the way!) it was super clean. When I did have the opportunity to eat, I wished that I'd ordered more biscuits!! It was so good!!! I can't wait to go back and actually sit-in to dine!

If you're looking for the gold standard of brunch in Summerville, look no further than First Watch…read moreon North Main Street. This isn't just your typical "eggs and toast" diner; it's a full-on culinary experience that manages to feel both incredibly healthy and deeply indulgent at the exact same time. From the second you walk through the door, you're hit with the "Sun-Up" vibe--it's bright, airy, and smells like fresh-squeezed citrus and high-end coffee. We were greeted by a host who gave us a realistic wait time, but here is a pro tip: use their app to join the waitlist before you even leave your house. We did that and were whisked to a booth within five minutes of arriving. The Appetizer You Can't Skip We started with the Million Dollar Bacon, and let me tell you, the name is an understatement. It's four slices of hardwood smoked bacon baked with a brown sugar and black pepper crust, finished with a maple syrup drizzle. The way the cayenne pepper provides a tiny kick at the end to balance the sweetness is genius. It is thick, crispy, and honestly, I would come back just for a plate of that. The Main Event For the mains, our table tried a variety of dishes to see if the kitchen could handle the rush: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: These are probably the fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. The ricotta adds a creamy richness without making them heavy, and the marinated berries on top were burst-in-your-mouth fresh. They didn't even need extra syrup. The Tri-Athlete Omelet: For those trying to stay on track with fitness goals, this is the move. It's an egg white omelet loaded with house-roasted onions, tomatoes, and cremini mushrooms. It felt light but was surprisingly filling. Farmhouse Hash: This is the ultimate comfort bowl. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly (not too salty), and the two over-easy eggs on top created a rich sauce that tied the whole thing together. The Juice Bar & Coffee You cannot visit First Watch without hitting the juice bar. We tried the Purple Haze--it's visually stunning with the butterfly pea flower, and the lemon/cane sugar combo is incredibly refreshing. Also, their Project Sunrise Coffee is some of the best "restaurant coffee" I've ever tasted. Knowing it supports female farmers in Colombia makes that second (and third) refill taste even better. Service & Atmosphere Despite the place being packed, the service was seamless. Our server, Justin, was a machine--he anticipated our refills before we even asked and knew the menu inside and out, even suggesting a side of the "Greens dressed with lemon" which was a perfect palate cleanser. The atmosphere is energetic but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Whether you're a local or just passing through the 29483 area, this First Watch location is firing on all cylinders. It's clean, the ingredients are top-tier, and the menu is creative enough to keep you coming back week after week.

Nope, about 4oz of berries and coffee with honey, creamer, turmeric, cinnamon and cayenne for me. Please note my listed concoction is extremely beneficial to the body, containing anti-inflammatory and antioxidants. Ok back to the point, I had the opportunity to meet a friend from church for lunch and I figured since I've never been to a First Watch in my life, to give it a try. The ride over at 11:15 on a Tuesday morning was easy, light on traffic with ample parking in a very safe section of town. I beat my comrade, for my Russian friends, to the restaurant as he was lagging a bit so the courteous wait staff promptly seated me. To be honest the franchise appears to have a forced hommy look to it. As if they're trying to be something you'd find on a winding country road where only the locals know about. To be honest, the ambiance is the lowest on my checklist, so depending on your perspective, that's a good thing. My hostess/waitress was asking me about my beverage before I was seated! I like this commitment to service. She even got me honey for my sweetener as I requested. Slow... slow golf clap from the audience. As I confessed before, I'm not a big breakfast person but I try to eat reasonable 90% of the time to stay "fit as a fiddle" (I'm curious where that analogy came from). While I could have enjoyed a great number of items, I opted for 1 Belgian waffle and 2 over easy eggs to go with my coffee. My skinny friend (grumble) got the Tri Fecta b/c.... well he's skinny! But as I recall it was about the same as my dish but with bacon. First off, my eggs were perfectly over easy - cooked 65% on one side the rest on the other with a very runny yolk, tasty! Now for the waffle, can we say "false advertising on 3?" Belgian waffles are thicker, have a "yiester" batter and pearl sugar. Plus, the "syrup traps" (all rights to Mitch Hedberg) are deeper while it has a crispier exterior and fluffier interior. In other words what I got was a deflated, defeated and structurally defunct piece of want to be abstract art, only something that a painter like Mark Rothko could appreciate (look him up). It was tasty but when I love waffles and have refrained for literal years I had my hopes set way to high. Anyways it was an average experience with only one syrup option! Oh I apologize for the pic, I was hungry and forgot to snap one before I destroyed it with my pitchfork. Overall, I don't want to nitpick too much but give constructive advice. So, the great -bacon, eggs, coffee, customer service, noise level and comfort. The average or slightly below average - the waffle (mislabeled) and ambiance via drab decor. If I were to come back, which isn't a reflection on the restaurant but my eating habits, I would opt for the eggs benedict as I make them all the time at home since homemade hollandaise sauce is easy and elevates any dish.

Our waiter was very attentive to our large party and food was brought out rather quickly. My biggest complaint was that food. I love eggs Benedict and a crab cake, so I had to make the obvious choice to get the crab cake eggs Benedict. The grits were very smooth and buttery with no lumps! The fried green tomato was fried to perfection but it didn't have much seasoning. It was beneath the crab cake, so maybe that's why it wasn't seasoned well. Also, the toast was really good. Idk what kind of toast you he had on the side but it went well with the jelly! My biggest gripe was the start of the show--the crabcake. It did not taste like a real crab cake AT ALL It tasted like a crab cake from a box with a lot of breading which was disappointing. Also, the breading on the crumb cake made it so crunchy to where I thought I was eating a chicken tender. Also, the sauce on top tasted weird and didn't complement any of the flavors on the plate. Overall, the experience was not bad. The menu is vast so I may be inclined to return to try other options. I just would not try the crabcake again.

When we got down to the last one, we both realized the "odd looking fritter" in the bowl that we were both avoiding, was the jam (oops!). It was a similar color and shape to the fritters but we both just laughed about avoiding it. For my entree, I was sold on the "award-winning" shrimp & grits that were featured on the Today show (as per their menu). Surprising that this meal made it that far as it didn't taste like anything special to me. It was not bad but very basic/plain; so basic that it felt like something was missing.
