For my entrees I got the black pepper chicken and the spicy bbq chicken. Both tasted stale and salty. Did not enjoy much of my food. Perhaps i enjoy the fast food aspect of ruby's, feeding my impatience that has to be controlled at traditional Thai restaurants. Perhaps I like that there aren't many Thai mall spots and I wanna support SE Asian mall food. Perhaps I'm just obsessed with penang curry and I can get it right when I want it here. Whatever it is, I seem to visit this spot, and only this spot, when at the roseville galleria. Despite the other low reviews, I quite enjoy ruby's. The curries are well balanced, and the proteins quite tender. The starch dishes tend to be a little dry, but no worries, just ladle some of that curry broth on it. I have food poisoning! The reciept doesnt have the phone number to the place... so i went on yelp got the phone number and called to at least leave a message for a return phone call tomorrow. I was very disappointed with my overall experience at Ruby Thai Kitchen. My bf, sisters and I decided on Thai food but needed a minute to decide on what to order (we were not able to eat meat today). There was no one in line and we were being rushed to order. The lady at the register was completely rude and was yelling at me because I couldn't figure out the card machine. She ended up snatching my card out of my hand. Totally unprofessional. I ordered the coconut shrimp and fried rice. It was almost $10 for dry rice and shrimp. I came to this restaurant stall in the Roseville Galleria and I tried their Taro milk tea of all things. I like the flavor of Taro so i wanted to test this out at a non boba tea primary place. When i come to the mall this is my go to for eating because its a little cheaper than Panda Express which charges an excessive amount of money for too little. This isnt the best place to go eat, theres not alot of choices like Panda but it tastes good and is cheaper. Food: The food is good and keeps me coming back for more, especially the mango chicken. I would recommend trying atleast once and if you like it then come again. Service: The service is ok and not the best, sometimes i cant understand what they're are saying because they barely speak any english. And i feel like they charge the same price for everything. DO NOT EAT here. My first time HERE and I got Pad Thai, Lemon Chicken and steamed rice. I started eating and after the 5th bite I noticed little black bugs crawling in my food. I closed the container and brought I back to the place. I showed one of the workers and he saw the bugs... then told me that it wasn't from there. He wanted to give me another plate. I told him I want a refund. I should have taken a video of it. The bugs looked like part of the seasoning. Omg... it was so disgusting. I tried to be discreet then the guy told me I had to talk to the manager. She said she would make me another plate. I told her I wanted a refund. She tried to refund me for partial. For context, this is restaurant in a mall food court. Still, the rice was light and the Thai BBQ chicken was very flavorful. I paid an extra $ 1.50 for the coconut shrimp. I enjoyed it, but it was a bit sweet, so it may not be for everyone. The chicken with mushrooms in garlic sauce was not as flavorful, but I think that has more to do with the venue than the food. I don't think it had sat long enough before I ordered it as the chicken and and mushrooms hadn't taken in much of the sauce. However when I put my rice in the sauce, the combination was delicious. Don't get me started on the portions, which were ridiculously large. I ordered a combo 3 plate. I got a very full plate and second small plate for me third entry. I recommend it. read more

i wanted to try something different so i went here, but i instantly regret when i saw how large their rice and chow mein tray was. a large tray means that it'll be sitting there for a long time until they switch it out (if they ever do)--so that means you're getting old dry rice and chow mein. that's exactly what i got...dry food. all of their entrees look like they've been sitting there for a while. i mean, i didn't expect much, but they also give so little as if they are preserving their food until they close, seems like they don't want to make any fresh food if they run out. overall, i was disappointed. i would've been better off getting panda express. read more

The food here is just okay. The mango chicken was their best seller but lately it has not been tasting as fresh as it use to or as flavorful. The pad thai is pretty bland, the fried rice does not taste very fresh. When we first got there, the workers were very rushing and rude. It was our first time going here so we didn't know what to order. We were eating our food when I saw them bring out a sample of one of their items. I wanted to try it so I went over to the lady handing out samples. She wouldn't give me one and kept telling me to go over where you order food and ask for one. She was so reluctant to give me a sample. But she finally did. To this day I don't know what she gave me but I bit into it and it was very peppery and pink. My mom nor I knew if it was chicken so I threw it away. The meal that I ordered wasn't the best...the chicken and rice were both dry. Overall my experience here was not good. 1/10. Not recommended to go here and I'm never coming here agian!!! read more

My wife and I just tried this last night on our date night at the mall. We really loved the Thai BBQ (chicken in a yummy BBQ teriyaki sauce...really good with white rice) and the Bang Bang Chicken (not sure on the name but it's deep fried chicken in sweet & spici chili sauce). I also had Pad Thai as my noodles...not spectacular, very sweet and bland and not much spice. The Spicy That BBQ was also great but I only wanted 1 spicy dish. They are GREAT about sampling! We tried a ton before ordering :) We had wandered all over the food court, exploring for the 1st time without kid :) Almost every place offered samples and they all seemed pretty tasty. Ruby Thai won out and we were not disappointed. Very large servings for the price. We'd definitely go back! read more
