Always love the salad bar (skipped the potato salad, it looked like it was from last week) but the entrees continue to disappoint.

We went to Ruby Tuesday on a Wednesday for a late lunch after picking strawberries nearby. There were seven of us and we were greeted by the host who immediately proceeded to arrange our space. First of all I like the restaurant decor and it just appeared clean and fresh which was pleasant. Our waitress came quickly...I think her name was Michelle...took our beverage orders. She was friendly and professional. After a few minutes we were ready to order. I decided on the $7.99 salad bar special and the broccoli cheese soup for an additional $2. The salad bar appeared fresh, organized with the usual options. Think I read somewhere there were 50 items. It definitely was a great deal for the money but nothing that remarkable for a salad bar. I did enjoy the Italian dressing that was a little different than the normal flavor. Also I was able to take broccoli from the salad bar and put it into the broccoli cheese soup which had no broccoli in it. Anyway overall the meal was good and I was satisfied. We received great service and the restaurant vibe was pleasant...so I'll be going back.

Our appetizer was pretty good, lol we found a grape in the spinach dip, after basically finishing it. Lol. Unfortunately, I ordered the catfish meal and it was quite unappealing. If I go again I would try something different. Drinks(non alcoholic of course) were great. Loved my raspberry lemonade!

High top and bar seat in the bar. Tables and booth seating in the restaurant. Food: ordered good ol' cheese burger which you can make your own (you can pick type of protein for the patty, veggies, cheese, sauce etc). Patty is cooked just like we asked- juicey and well flavored. Deviled egg was phenomenal- little rich and on the salty side but it only compliments their amber ale to chug. Another complimenting dish to the ale is definitely fried pickle. Portion is good=big. Oh, came here another time. Burger was good again. I ordered Philly cheese, which I loved the taste but the ground beef instead of shaved beef was not for me. Service: both times, the service was great. Fast and very attentive. Price: I think the price is reasonable if not, really great. $4 pint amber ale? It's a steal!

It took a while for the waitress to come over and take our order. The restaurant was not busy (other than our table there was only one other) and it took 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. Then it took another 10 minutes for the water to show up and to have our orders taken. I ordered the Bad Ass Burger with fries. The fries arrived cold and floppy. I let the waitress know the fries were cold and she graciously took then and had them remade. The second set, arrived hot and floppy...and were unseasoned. The burger itself was terrible. The meat patties were not seasoned and overcooked (ordered medium arrived well done). Ultimately, the food was just disappointing. Lastly, I saw one of the cooks vaping over the food.

Service could be better, but it's not bad. Decor and the bar were very cool and well designed parts of the restaurant. We ordered the Alabama Slammer and Classic Cheeseburger with truffle fries. If you order the truffle fries, make sure to grab a fork or extra napkins (or both)! Eating them gets real messy. Overall, a nice, casual burger spot in Raleigh with great fries.

Pick up your meal at the counter and it's time to eat! I did their popular truffle burger with fries Italiano and OMG! The burger was amazingly tender, rich and delicious. Tender grilled beef, smoky Gouda cheese, caramelized onions and truffle flavoring throughout. The skin-on fries with shaved parm, rosemary and garlic made for the perfect side. While the bar is not open yet, it looks like CowBar North Hills will have some beers and drinks to go with your burger. Overall I am super happy with what I experienced at CowBar. While the food is a touch pricey, it's totally worth the money and a better option to dine here, versus a crowded, noisy spot. Enjoy, Raleigh. The fries are not included with your $17 burger, so be prepared to spend more than $60 for 2 burgers + fries & drinks. The quality is excellent! I would say it's overpriced especially since you're already paying almost $20 for the burger then you have to pay for a side separately. We tired the Mr. Thick fry, it was good but only shareable for 2 people. Going with yuca fries or tots are a much better bang for your buck and I think they are better tasting. The service is really nice, however they did forget about our order. I don't think we had a server, I think it was the manager who took our order. We had to ask them again about our food after waiting for 45 mins bc it never came. They didn't offer any special accommodation for the long wait and obviously, forgetting to put in our order. That was very disappointing. Overall the food is incredible and worth the splurge every now and then.

The fries had the perfect amount of salt and crisp and I didn't expect to get it, but my meal also came with a nice slice of texas toast. Overall, I left with a good first impression, and am definitely coming back next time I'm in Raleigh. Customer Service: Upon arrival, the owner introduced herself to me and welcomed me in. She was soooooo friendly!!! I appreciated her entrusting me to one of her cashiers for recommendations when I told her it was my first visit! He was down to earth and very outgoing when asking what I had a taste for and how hungry I was and advising how he hooks his food up! Needless to say, him recommending the special was the best idea! Ambiance: This place is casual, well-lit and inviting. It's next to the college campus so it's ideal for a group of friends meeting up in the evening or for lunch!

I ordered the Superfree Burger, their vegan burger patty made of sweet potatoes, roasted mushrooms, walnuts and seeds; topped with avocado, tomato, mixed greens, onions, and a garlic-tahini dressing. Usually, I'm always excited to try a restaurant's vegan burger, but sad to say, their vegan burger was a bit underwhelming. I felt the patty was on the dry and crumbly side. I also ordered a Kid's Hot Dog meal for my child. The hot dog looked delish, but sadly, the hand-cut fries were soggy, greasy, and dark. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't appetizing. I should have asked the kitchen to make another batch for us. Mama Crow's had so much promise. I'd still come back to give it another try, but I'll order a burger next time.
