First off, I want to say I truly love the food here--the pizza has always been consistently delicious, and I've been a loyal customer for a long time. Normally, this would be an easy 5-star review. Unfortunately, what's changed recently is the pricing. The cost of the food has gone up significantly in just the past few months, and now there's also a $10 delivery fee on top of that for orders between $50-$99. My most recent order was just over $47 before taxes, and by the time everything was totaled up (before even adding a tip), I was looking at over $60 for the same two 16" pepperoni pizzas I always get. That's just too much. I understand that prices can go up, but this feels excessive--and I can't justify paying that much for two pizzas, no matter how good they are. I hate to say it, but I won't be ordering again. I'm sure I'm not the only customer feeling this way, and I imagine this is starting to affect business. I'll be looking elsewhere for my New York-style pizza fix--there are definitely other great options in the area. read more

This is my first time trying Divano's. First off, I want to say the taste of the pizza is stupendous, and exactly like a New York pizza should be. I was very disappointed in my delivery, however. All of my delectable toppings were thrown to one side of the pizza as if the box had been thrown like a frisbee. I was really hoping to enjoy this but instead I was trying to salvage what I could and put it on an empty slice. And while the taste was delicious the experience was really lacking. I really wish someone had been more careful when delivering this. Maybe it was the door dash guy or maybe someone at the restaurant dropped the box and sent it anyway, but I was very disappointed. HOLY CRAP. Got on door dash tonight and found this place. Hesitant on trying new pizza places because all of them around here suck, except J and S. The pie was cooked perfectly. Hands down the food is good.. we always had the food delivered. But one day I decided to go into the store to place an order. My heart dropped when during the pandemic NO ONE WAS WEARING A MASK OR GLOVES. The young cashier was processing payments cash/card and packaging food NO GLOVES. One cook was drinking a beverage while cooking. I asked what's up with the sanitation and everyone behind the counter looked at me dumb founded. We found this place and decided to give it a try since we love NY style slices. These slices are among the best in the area. We also have tried the Meatball Hero and Sausage and Peppers. Food is decent overall, but cleanliness and employee behaviors need attention. Went to grab a quick lunch and got 3 lunch specials (2 slices and a drink), for the Family. We waited 10 minutes to reheat and then they put in a box saying didn't know if you want to eat here. Waste of a box and owners money...also got 5 slices and had to ask for the missing one. Anyway girl working counter went to bus tables and then did not wash her hands. Glad we got food before that happened. Bathrooms were nasty too. Sadly tonight I called to place a delivery order and the kid on the phone had no idea how to ring my order in or take my card info. He was slightly rude when I asked why my total charge was $5 more then he said on the phone and snappily said I told you $23 I said no i'm sure you said $18 and be snapped back to say oh well the ranches are a dollar each! Well $18 +3 = $21 ... to say the lease they need to get there standards in line and train or hire nicer people. read more

Not too bad. Better than a chain like Dominos. Claims NY style. Not quite but close. Crust was a bit thicker than NY style but still foldable and crispy/chewy. Sauce was also decent. Host was nice. The only thing that really made the experience sub par was the yelling from the kitchen staff. Literally screaming and arguing in Spanish non stop. The host must have noticed me looking back there, cause he went back, said something and it stopped. Too bad it was after I was almost done. I would come back though. read more

Easily our new favorite place to eat! We recently moved to Garner and discovered this place very close to our house on day 1! The employees are so friendly and fast! The food is delicious. We've tried fettuccini Alfredo, spaghetti, garlic knots, calzones, pizza- everything is awesome. Especially the fettuccini and knots! Divanos has been our go-to for pizza for years. Over the past several months service has gone dramatically downhill. Our order is accurate less than half the time, toppings have gotten chintzy despite rising prices and staff seem disorganized. Tonight they gave away our salad that was ordered with our pizza (hey it happens, no biggie), remade the salad without chicken or the extra dressing requested, despite charging for it. Huge disappointment. Ordered two personal pizzas and a chicken fingers/fries combo. It took over an hour to make. Once it finally left for delivery I got a phone call from the delivery woman asking ME how to get to my home. A 15 minute drive took 35 minutes and then I got another call from the delivery woman asking how to get to my apartment door. Went downstairs to meet her and she was right outside the building. Once we got the food it was not worth the time or money. The pizza was nearly thin as paper, no herbs, and the chicken/fries were the same. All of the food tasted like it had been left under a heat lamp for a long time and was shriveled up. Overall, you may as well buy your own food from the grocery store and make it yourself. Finally, a pizzeria who knows what pizza is supposed to be like. Crust is thin but chewy (not crispy), not bready like virtually every pizza place in this area. Sauce is flavorful and slightly tangy, not sweet like virtually every pizza place in this area. Overall, this is one of the only places that comes close to the Italian-style pizza I love from the Northeast. We ordered some of their pies for a party this weekend and everyone was remarking on how good they were (including one guest who is a Brooklyn native). Only downside is that the delivery was very slow, so consider driving there to pick it up yourself. Otherwise, I recommend this place without hesitation. read more
