Today my daughter wanted to treat us to an after Christmas lunch, even though my son wanted Taco Bell. We decided on Ruby Tuesdays Windward Mall because we happened to have been in Kaneohe. We have always enjoyed their croutons, of course. Oh boy, where to start...The floor under our table was absolutely filthy...lots of food droppings. YUCK! We had to ask for utensils. There were 5 of us. He brought over 2 and said he'd bring more later. Uh...ok. let's all share 2 napkins. We had the spinach-artichoke dip to start. Not enough chips. Waiter asked if we wanted more, and we said yes, but the chips never came. Ok wasted dip. Waiter took my daughter's glass to refill, but never brought it back. 10 minutes later we had to flag him down for it. Entrees...two of us ordered the ribeye, two ordered the sirloin, and one ordered a burger. ALL steaks were ordered medium rare. Mash and rice, and one side order was broccoli. Unfortunately, the broccoli was horrible. It seemed like it went from frozen to microwave. My daughter loves her veggies, so she knows the difference. Needless to say, we were very disappointed! All but one steak was cooked as ordered, but because it took so long for us to get our meal, my kids just ate theirs. After 15 minutes, the waiter came to check on us. I let him know the steaks were overcooked (they were medium well). He asked if i wanted mine redone, I said yes but I wanted to know how long it would take. It took him 10 minutes to come back to let me know it would be out in a couple of minutes. By that time i was full off of mashed potatoes and rice pilaf. Further, my kids were already done eating. So much for a meal together! The new ribeye was absolutely perfect and most definitely different in flavor, color, and size from the original two. It's unfortunate that the care in preparing the meal only came after a complaint. My son ordered the ribeye as well and was very shocked at the difference in how it looked and tasted. But because i was full off of the sides, i wasn't able to enjoy it I enjoy Ruby Tuesdays at Moanalua and Kapolei. Tried the pupu at Mililani, and had no complaints. I did not have any bad experiences at these locations. Today's experience at Windward Mall was really too much rolled into one. Service was not great. 3 to 4 people bussed the table next to us and not one even took notice of our empty glasses of water or of the food droppings on the floor at our table. Before the waiter brought our bill, he asked if we wanted some wet naps. We said yes. They never came. We had a debate over the amount to leave for tip. I'm normally a 20% tipper, and I teach my kids to appreciate that many food service workers rely on their tips to make a living wage. Today, however, it seemed like an overall poor experience. From the filthy floor to the oblivious nature of the workers to the poor service to us not fully enjoying our meal. The manager offered an $8 discount on my meal, but the experience took away from us enjoying a meal and quality time. I left 15% but that was without great opposition from two of my kids. I gave one star because it's obvious they know how to make a steak as ordered. read more

Had a small business lunch here a few days ago and wanted to post a review with my experience. Ordered the spinach dip, always good, always order it. Never fails I like this app. One person ordered the tacos, and they were large. Good portion size, but the protein chicken or fish wasn't as spicy as advertised. It's actually just a spicy remoulade they use. But these were great, went with a salad from the salad bar. Second person ordered the sampler, which was good, large platter or different apps. I ordered the half rack ribs with baked mac and cheese and onion rings. You have a choice of style for the bbq, and I opted for the Memphis dry rub. Ribs were tender but there was very little seasoning, very very little seasoning. I expected some punch in flavor, but it was just slow roasted ribs. Used ketchup to add flavor. The mac and cheese was good and so were the onion rings. Please add more seasoning to your ribs, I like dry rubs, just add more of it to your ribs. Mahalo! read more

I came here with my bf and my mom on Sunday 12/04/16. Everything was going smoothly until, at the end of the meal. My mom wanted to take home the little biscuits as she was stuffed from her breakfast meal. So, I told the server for a take out box to put in the chips and biscuits. She brings the box and takes away the dishes on our table. I didn't know she took away the biscuits and she didn't bother to ask if we wanted to take it with us as we were busy figuring out the check and putting the chips in the box. It was then I noticed where are the biscuits. My mom got upset she took them away and never asked us if we wanted it. She probably threw them out. My bf said we will ask the server to bring us another one.... lol she did bring it probably took it from the trash in the kitchen. Not hot. NO apology either. DO NOT DINE HERE!!!! Rude server. She is a tall african american. Told the hostess but she smiled it off saying she will tell the manager. Doubt she will might be her friend. I'll just write a letter to the head of Ruby Tuesday. There staff needs to be re-trained about customer service!!!! Food isn't that great either. It's better to eat in town. There are much better places to watch the game and have a beer. read more

We used to frequent Ruby Tuesdays quite often, but because of the high prices there, we had to start going to Zippys instead. We were always satisfied with Zippys service and food. But last night after several months my husband & I decided to try Rubys again during a rare date night. Sad to say, we were reminded why we usually choose Zippys over Ruby Tues. It took about 15 minutes for our server to greet us and finally get us water. Then another 20 minutes to get our appetizers. 20 minutes after we finished our appetizers our server said that the kitchen was backed up and that our entrees were coming. I was okay with that, but what really upset me was that other people who came in more than a half hour after us with larger parties (there was only two of us!!) got their entrees before us! I couldn't take it anymore. We paid for our apps and got the hell out of there - still starving. Sooo very disappointed and upset that our "once-every-3-month-date-night" was ruined. I planned an hour and a half for dinner - and all we got were appetizers. Safe to say we're back to Zippys! Epic fail RT. read more

I feel the service at this Ruby Tuesday's continues to go further downhill every time I visit. Today's visit finally hit rock bottom. I understand that there are issues that come up but to sit at a table for over 20+ minutes and not be even have our drink orders taken is terrible. We eventually were given water and told our server would be with us soon. Nope he was not. But the topper was when the table next to us who was seated way after us had a server come and apologize for the wait and would take their order for their server who was busy. Haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday's in probably over a decade and my boyfriend and I just popped in since we live down the road. Safe to say, I'm not even finished with my meal or wrapping everything up, but can definitely say we'll return! Nikki was by far the upmost informative and kind server I've had in a while actually. I happen to work in the industry myself and it was beyond refreshing to be taken care of by Nikki. Terrible service(unless you like waiting 20-40 minutes for your food), was never acknowledged that our was being worked on. Could never get a refill on water or find our server who never checked on us. Food was totally bland and overpriced. I think the manager was more concerned with flirting with attractive servers than the customers. Will never eat at a Ruby Tuesday ever again and reccomend to everyone I know that they are terrible. read more

Food is usually pretty good but I just came for dinner and their payment machine went down... Rather than telling anyone that there was a problem the staff disappeared for a really long time and left everyone waiting with no explanation. After 30 mins I'd expect some kind of compensation but I was eventually just presented with a full bill. I might go back for the food but not anytime soon. read more

Horrible. I just Went In for lunch on My 1 HR break. The food was Fine salad bar was awesome as usual but the service was probably the worst I received. From the moment I got in I was ignored I had to ask the girl to seat me. After seating me next to a booth near the bar I wasn't greeted until 10 min later. The restaurant was empty. There were 2 ppl sitting at the bar and 1 other table with 3 ppl, then me. Why it took 12 min for my coke to come, I have no clue. When the waitress dropped my coke before I could even say anything she said I'll be right back. She didn't leave a straw and she did not come right back. At this point I've already wasted 25 min of my break I was about to leave then she came back and because I was so hungry I stayed. I ordered a burger I figured it would be fast she kept trying to upsell and trying to get me to buy more things, which I get but after already saying I just want a plain burger your pushing it. So anyways because I'm hungry and waited forever I opted to add on the salad bar it was great. So my burger comes no complaints and I stuff my face because I need to get going so I ask for my check and not kidding still empty and it took her another 15 min. I was pist. I still left a tip but I so badly wanted to leave a note but instead I'm doing this review. Sucks to say I'll never go back. EVER. read more

I dont know what happened to Ruby Tuesday but it seems as the years passed their service and food gotten worse but prices went up. I used to love coming to this restaurant. Portions were generous for your buck and quality was amazing. I used to go to the Ala Moana location all the time. Came here a few times and food was good. Last time I came with my family we had a roach in our pasta. We didnt see it because it was at the bottom of our food so didnt see it till we were taking out last bites and there it was. Of course, I was grossed out knowing that we were eating a dish with a roach in it and feeding our kids! We informed our sever and they took if our bill, which was very nice and they apologized. I know things happen and this can happen anywhere. We appreciated how they handled it by comping that dish. Well probably be back some time later; just cant stay away from the salad bar, which is always good. read more

Went to try this place for the first time and the service was AWFUL! It was so bad that we had to physically get up to look for our waitress to pay for our meals. The hostess could not even find her! But we thought we'd give them a try again and this time they sat us in the bar. After 5 minutes the bartender was still not concerned about us sitting there to the point of even making direct eye contact and turning away. We waited another 5 minutes and left. Doesn't even deserve one star!!! Horrible experience tonight. Went to have dinner with my husband and we were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait. We took our buzzer and sat out front for our table. Watched at least a few couples that came in after us get seated so my husband went to inquire. And all they said was, "we tried buzzing you but I guess it isn't working". Mass confusion in the front. 3 gals couldn't get the communication going in terms of seating people accordingly. We actually got our seat quickly. 18 minutes to wait for waiter to intro himself. 7 minutes to wait for water; 27 minutes for our food, no utensils and napkins, finally we eat. Food is great, hot and tasty. Then to wait for a box and the bill. Hailed another waiter for box and bill. So used to the better organized service at the Mililani Ruby Tuesdays. With Big City Diner coming up next door soon, RT's will need to up their game. Only as a last result will I eat here again. read more

Enjoyed a great breakfast of two eggs sunny side up three sausage patties, hashbrowns, two biscuits, and two pancakes. Coffee was hot and delicious and constantly refilled. My waitress Aubrey was extremely courteous and friendly. She was prompt to take my order and prompt with the delivery of the order. She quickly followed up to check to see how everything was going and how the meal tasted. The maître d' Gary was very welcoming and courteous and made sure I had a seat that I was comfortable with in the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I've been going here with my husband for quite some time and it's always been a favorite on the windward side for us, but we probably won't be going back after this last trip. The menu has been updated, (prices raised) and the wait to receive the food was way too long. Our waitress was really good and that's why I'm giving them two stars. The prices are really too high for a chain restaurant and we waited over 45 minutes for our food. The place was only half full at the time. Also, the last time I went there for lunch with a friend and I was nauseous for two days after. I think the ranch dressing on the salad bar was spoiled. read more

My wife & I went to have lunch today-- our server 499 was terrible. We had to wait so long to get our water-- I had to ask him four times to get it finally. He was so slow in everything he did for us-- we noticed other customers got their drinks before us . My wifes hamburger bun was so soggy-- we think it's because it was there for awhile before he served it to us. In all we were very disappointed wtih the time spent there. Usually service there is decent. Very irritated with what the manager told us when when they brought us our food. He said it took long because the burger took long time because it had to be "well done". Bad excuse and it was pretty much blaming me because that's how I wanted my burger. I have had too many bad experiences at this restaurant. The service is the absolute WORSE service you can get in any restaurant. I am afraid the management is the only one to blame since the staff has changed over, but the service remains to be the worst. The food is junk...except those damned croutons at the salad bar...and extremely overpriced. Today's crappy service included not receiving silverware so I had to look at my salad for five minutes, when I got it it was wrapped in a napkin but both forks and knife were wet...not damp, or a little moist but full on wet. The server was so slammed and when he dropped my food there was no sense of "enjoy" at all. It was a wordless drop off of food and walked away. I'm done. I have worse stories than this for this place and I have gone over a year without eating here. I am now done. No more money for this place. They're spoiled. This place is BAWLIN' yo. I walked in and sat at the bar and was all like, "heyyyyy" and the bartenders (Krista and Ryan) were all like "yooo buddy, whatcha drinkin?" all friendly like. I asked for a bitchin' margarita and they made me dis thing and dawg, let me tell you it wuz da best damn Rita I ever had, hand to Jesus bruh. We were way too early for the movie that we wanted to see at the mall, so we decided to have a nice dinner at Ruby Tuesday first. It was a very nice dinner indeed. My husband was very happy with his salad bar and spicy fish taco combination. There was a small mistake on my order and I was served fish instead of crab cakes, but our server, Kevin, took care of it very quickly. The mistake turned out to be a nice treat, as it was the best tilapia we've had in a restaurant. It was definitely a nice meal and I think they deserve more than their overall 2.5 stars. My favorite thing about Ruby Tuesday is that the food is always good no matter which location you go to. I come to this location a lot because it is easy to get to and has lots of parking. Just dropped over $100 for dinner for 3 tonite. Food was OK, nothing spectacular - $19.29 for a basket of fries and 8 fried shrimp that I'm sure is ordered pre-made, they just deep fry. But you do pay for "pre-made" foods. But $20.79 for New Orleans shrimp & tilapia -- may a 4oz portion tilapia & 5 small shrimp? But the kicker was ordering the bread pudding dessert with ice cream -- the server gave us 3 forks! It was good, but really hard to eat ice cream with a fork?!? We asked a gentleman -- he was in plain clothes, no apron, but was taking dirty glasses into the kitchen -- for spoons. This was near closing so he turned away murmuring, "I'll check." He came back with out spoons; we were told, "there are no spoons, they're washing them right now." And that was it! He left us and didn't bother to check back! I work Food Services... you mean to tell me you couldn't go grab 3 spoons to wash by hand to give to us?!? Or even get ice tea spoons from the bar?!? C'mon, Ruby Tuesday, you can do better than this! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Sat in one of the booths by the bar. Waitress took awhile to put in a beer and iced tea order. She brought out the wrong beer and had to wait another 10 minutes to get my correct order. Went to the salad bar and didn't even have napkins or utensils out. She dropped it off and walked away. She kept on coming by and saying ok are we all ready to order?She didn't even give us time to respond. She just walked over to a booth behind us and not sure if she was conversing with a coworker about another order? This pattern happened about 3 times. Update: It's been about 45 min- hour since we got seated and we finally got our food. Disappointed and will not be back. Get a lesson on common courtesy and customer service please. We aren't even those type that complain and just went with the flow. Ruby Tuesdays used to have amazing quality and amazing service. Wonder what happened. Save your money and your blood pressure and go somewhere else that will appreciate your business. Update; To top it off: several pieces of chipped glass in the food that had a chipped corner of the plate. I don't know about you guys, but wen you wait at these establishments for an hour for your food, you are not going to scan your plate and check "is there glass? Is the plate chipped anywhere?" Safety hazard. Our family does not need anymore stress regarding our health since one of our loved ones are going thru a rough diagnosed terminal condition time.Although we got out meal comped and a gift card, we will again, never be dining here. read more
