I love going on Thursdays because they do an $8.99 special thats hard to beat: burger, fries, and unlimited salad bar. Honestly that's cheaper than most fast food drive-throughs, and you get way more food. I usually order the burger and fries to go and then spend my time working through the salad bar. At most locations, they tend to have a pretty generous selection of toppings, pasta salads, fruit, and other extras. Unfortunately, this location's salad bar was a little disappointing. Some of it wasn't the freshest and had that sort of crunchy "I've been sitting out for a while" vibe, dirty plates, and toppings that needed replenishing... but moreso it was way more limited than other locations I've visited. Fewer choices, less variety, and overall it just didn't have that "wow, this is actually a pretty good deal" feeling I've come to expect. I was surprised how busy the restaurant was in the middle of a Thursday afternoon. The good news is they seemed properly staffed because we were seated almost immediately. Service was friendly throughout the visit, and the food came out quickly without feeling rushed. The restaurant itself could definitely use some TLC. The building is showing its age, and the restrooms in particular were disgusting. Nothing that ruined the experience, but enough that you notice it. The burger and fries were good, the service was solid, and I'd come back if I were in the area. I just wouldn't rank this location among the stronger Ruby Tuesdays I've visited, especially if you're coming specifically for the salad bar. read more

I can tell you a lot about this chain since I watched their demise in my Knoxville backyard a decade ago. I'll spare everyone the details. On 27 May, I went and I ate at their restaurant over lunch. I ordered the salad bar. I was very excited because it's very hard to find a salad barn nowadays - the selections were far less than normal however, that is not my biggest complaint. I had to wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes before someone came on over as I was seated at the bar and asked for my order and the water I would like to drink. To me, unfortunately the worst of it was the price for Monday salad bar lunch is $9.99. I was charged either 14.99or 16.99. I'm sorry guys that's just not right. I came in with a couple friends. We sat down and ordered drinks. One of my friends recommend the bourbon glazed salmon. I should have gone with my first choice. To me the salmon was over cooked, it came with rice that was sadly getting tough from sitting too long but the zucchini was super tasty. I say this knowing they were short staffed, hence why I didn't complain. I would love to say this was normal, per my friend they love eating her and the food was normally very good. This Ruby Tuesday is a great spot if you don't want a long wait or crowds of people. I don't know how they stay in business since it seems like they're not usually busy and the ambiance is a bit lacking. The warm lighting makes it dark inside so you probably won't notice that the blinds are in serious need of swiffering and overall tlc. The food is good though and the salad bar has something for everyone. Some fried items, beans, broccoli salads, Mac salads, cheeses, sunflower seeds, and more. I tried the honey bourbon chicken and the chicken was surprisingly juicy and flavorful. The side of broccoli was perfectly cooked al dente and not mushy like frozen and thawed broccoli can get. Trust me when I say this: do not spend your money here. I'll lay out the problems first, and then the overall experience, but the problems alone should be enough to save you from wasting your dollars. First off, they were using plastic silverware, which tells you everything you need to know about how things were going in the kitchen -- or if anyone was even in the kitchen. There was a hair in the salad bar, which I get can happen, but it still added to what was easily the worst sit-down restaurant experience of 2025... and probably 2024 too. The burger tasted more like pickles and room-temperature, old, burned beef than anything resembling an actual burger. It was tiny as well. It took over 60 minutes to get a burger and chicken tenders. The place was obviously not jumping. The appetizer was low-quality, the sauce was even worse, and the tater tots weren't cooked properly. They tasted like frozen, raw starch -- not good enough to even finish. We had a coupon for a free salad bar add on, or a free dessert, and we didn't even want to stick around long enough to find out what the dessert was like. The server was incredibly slow and obviously struggling, but honestly, that's on management. That's a lack of training, oversight, and basic accountability from the people running the place. We were driving past the mall where ruby's used to be, and I said, "You know what? We haven't been there in years, so let's stop by." Big mistake. I have no idea how they're even affording the lease. They must be locked into something long-term, because the business they're doing now sure isn't paying the bills. I wouldn't go back if the meal were free. Seriously one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time, and a complete waste of money -- which stings even more in today's economy. I normally won't bash THIS hard but hopefully someone from corporate can do more but pretend to care. We need good businesses in our communities. The first one came out well. I asked for a refire (that should have let them know that I know what I'm talking about). The second steak came out medium. At this point it was a coachable moment as i wasn't going to eat it. Duane came out and I explained the issue. He became extremely condescending and disrespectful, stating that "he would eat it" then he proceeded to ask me what the proper temp for a medium rare steak and said " bet you don't know, it's 150. Well actually Duane, the proper rested temp for a medium rare steak is 130-135. But clearly you don't know that or the plate would not have been flooded with juices. This Ruby Tuesday provided a nice meal for us "road weary" travelers and was conveniently located steps away from our nearby lodging at the Drury Inn and Suites. I'm very nostalgic about Ruby's because it was my first restaurant job out of high school, back "in the day," at the Madison Square Mall location in Huntsville, AL and I have a lot of fond memories there. Sadly, my favorite items, the turkey burger and the bourbon glazed pork chop are no longer on the menu. There is a meatless burger offering, though. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt and our meals were delivered in a timely manner. My family were all able to find suitable meals and my daughter and I enjoyed relaxing with a bottle of Nobilo Sav Blanc, which was served correctly and appropriately chilled. The only drawback I noticed was the salad bar. Before the RT in southeast Huntsville shuttered, at which I was a regular, the salad bar was a real shining star in that RT's orbit. They had delicious hummus, ample veggies and crackers to dip in the hummus, and other "higher end" products. This RT's salad bar was sparse, and not visually appealing. It did not have the hummus and ample dipping veggies, etc. However, my pescatarian daughter was still able to cobble together a side salad to her liking. The pieces of Catfish were not much bigger than Smelt fillets. The baked potato was not even 3 inches long. Then comes time for dessert. They were out of Big Daddy Chocolate Cake. I guess this is Ruby's way of cost control. No one came by to ask how things were. Not one time. Well, I had to finally wave for attention because my mushroom Swiss burger had NO mushrooms. Plus the patties were mildly burnt. No apologies received, but i was brought a tiny cup of mushrooms for ME to put onto my burger. You don't get a bill. The server just walked over and told me the total. What? Am I supposed to just trust you? The final bill for my son and I (after tip) was almost $60.00! The only problem would've been w/ the service. Ordered the side Caesar Salad which had sweet croutons & was good too! The Mac 'n cheese side was the most bland ever! We came in at 8 for dinner. I knew there was a problem when the hostess came up with her phone in her face wearing a hooding and gray yoga pants. There was more food around the salad bar than in the containers. The carpet was absolutely filthy and there were about a dozen tables needing bussed. All while there were 4 employees sitting at the bar talking to each other or on their phones. When I saw I was close to a Ruby Tuesday's I decided to have salad for dinner because I like how they have their salad bar setup. I really like the diced ham along with the separated greens (I like iceberg and it's always nice to not have roman mixed in). I went to dinner at 5:30pm on a Monday and I would say there were around 20 people in the place at the time. I walked in and saw the sign to wait to be seated. I watched the worker by the bar looking at her phone for several minutes. Finally, she looked up and saw I was standing there and came over and seated me. I ordered the salad bar only and went right over. Right away I noticed the iceberg was almost gone, only a few were left at the bottom, and I asked the server if she would bring more, and she said she would. I made my first plate and put on my usuals, but because of the lack of lettuce, I only had a small amount, like a side salad amount. I figured I would get more when they brought more lettuce. When I went up for my second plate, I had to ask again about the lettuce and was told that the person in the kitchen was supposed to come out and refill that and she went back to ask him again. I went to my table to wait and when I saw him coming from the back and watched him refill the iceberg container with romaine and I asked him where was the iceberg and he said they were out. I went back to my table and told my waitress. She apologized for not having what I wanted and asked if I wanted anything else. I told her I didn't, and she gave me a check for the FULL AMOUNT... I was so excited to find a Ruby Tuesday's not too far away. I thought they had all closed. Now I know I can come to Sharonville for Ruby Tuesday's always fresh delicious salad bar. As the salad bar is wonderful and well kept, I have never been impressed with menu items. I had the grilled salmon and it was so over cooked but I ate it anyway. I would love to see them make a comeback and hopefully improve their cooking skills. I will be back but will stick to the salad bar. read more

My review is technically zero stars, but I had to leave something in order to leave this review. After waiting 5 minutes for a waitress/waiter, we decided to go to the salad bar. After 15 minutes of still waiting for someone to come over, I went up to the bar to order our own drinks. The bartender, who was also technically our waitress, asked if I was waiting for something. I politely ordered two drinks and took them back to my table. The bartender continued to go to the tables on either side of us, we were the middle table, in the bar area, but never stopped at ours. After 45 minutes, the bartender came over and asked if we needed to order anything. I told her I had planned on ordering something 45 minutes ago. This is the second time I've been to this location in two months. Both times it has been dysfunctional and disorganized. The lady behind the bar is always yelling at people on the telephone, as well as the cooks. The waitresses are always behind the bar talking to one another and/or the regular customers. This particular location has declined in quality over the years. I ordered a "5 Cheese Philly Steak sandwich". It came on two slices of toast (not a hoagie bun) and only cheese sauce (not 5 cheese). The meat was overcooked and sub-standard (fat and gristle). I looked at the normally great salad bar. Some of the toppings were sitting in pools of water. I know they can do better. I return to this location for lunch. It was not very busy at the time so I was seated immediately. My server, Casey, was very friendly and helpful. She made menu item suggestions and also I'm share cost if I added the salad bar. I decided to order the chicken dish with mashed potatoes and zucchini and I also added the salad bar to that order. It did not take long for the order to come out. The food was very tasty. The sauce on my chicken was really good not really sure how to describe it but it was very favorful. I enjoyed the zucchini as well as the mashed potatoes. It was a good selection. The salad bar was a traditional Ruby Tuesday salad bar it which I enjoyed as well.
