I had not been in a Ruby Tuesday in eons and eons and saw that they were running a deal on Thursdays for a Smashburger and unlimited salad bar so we thought we'd give it a try. The Smashburger was pretty good, and the fries were excellent. When the server asks you, whether you prefer a single burger or a double, order a double. The Smashburger's are pretty thin and if you only get a single, it's going to get lost in all of that bun. If you want to taste some hamburger then make sure you get two of them because they are fairly thin. The salad bar is well stocked and nicely chilled. It has about every single thing you could ever want in salad and then some. You will never lack for choice when it comes to the Ruby Tuesday salad bar. On their Thursday deal, you can go back as often as you like. Two of us had the same thing with diet cokes and it came to $27. So we went to Ruby Tuesday tonight 4-14-26 at 7:36 pm. At the Ruby Tuesday location in Windsor Locks,CT Upon entering the restaurant we noticed that about 1/4 of the restaurant was full and 3 people sitting at the bar immediately a African American male were guessing he was the manager told us that there is a 45 minute wait! Again a 45 minute wait with barely any customers there. We asked why he said that's just the way it is. I asked if we could sit at the bar the answer again was no.? I go here quite a bit and honestly this time I had the best service I have ever had by Liana. The other waitress/bartender never writes down what I'm having and it always gets messed up. I hate it every time. Last time I went she even said that I said it wrong when I know for a fact I didn't because I deal with it every damn time. This time this waitress Liana wrote down exactly what I wanted and it came out exactly the way I wanted it. This goes a very long way. I will say that this is going to be a completely transparent and mixed review. The ambiance of the store is late 2000's era. However once you sit down the chairs are extremely uncomfortable and the menus are approximately the length of the whole table, so if you're dining with anyone additional expect a tight fit. The service was exceptional and not for one moment did I feel left out of service or forgotten about. On top of that our waitress was very polite and swift. We had ordered potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and boneless wings. They were all bland and in my opinion nothing shy of decent microwaveable food. Disappointed from this we decided to add an additional queso and chips and they were quite tasty. The queso is decent but the chips have a seasoning that is feint but makes for a good combination. Once I ordered my entree I was sure that I was going to be disappointed until my Cajun chicken Pasta arrived and it looked decent apart from a sad piece of garlic bread that had more Cajun sauce on it from my pasta than garlic. Once I bit into my pasta I was delighted and almost had a euphoric feeling. It was absolutely delicious. Only improvements could have been noticed via presentation. I sat at the bar as the place is pretty empty, I asked for the happy hour menu-they don't follow any standards and make items up and the female bartender got annoyed when I asked for something other then a beer. I of course added the salad bar to my meal but to my surprise it was in disarray, half the items usually seen are missing and food items are mixed together. This used to be a good place to go, but not any more. While the food quality is slightly above average, it's priced too high for what you get. The last time I was here, the size of the burger was ridiculously small. This last visit, I had the single grilled chicken breast which was good, but over-priced at $16.99. The deals from the email I received this morning evidently were not honored at this location, as the garden bar entree that my friend got was priced at $12.99, not $7.99 as the mailing stated. We chose this place because it was walking distance to our hotel. We ordered take out coz we are tired and just wanted to relax in our room. We ordered the special that comes with ribs, rib eye and shrimp and an order of fish and chips. When we opened our order, no shrimp plus when we checked our receipt we got overcharged for the fish and chips. And we even tipped for take-out! It sucks that we are expected to tip when workers are doing what they are getting paid for. I could care less about the tip but getting the order wrong and overcharging is not right! This Ruby Tuesday is located at a good spot and is walking distance from a couple of the hotels in the area. The setup is just as you would expect- pick up area and bar on one side, sit-down tables on the other. There are a few tv's around to watch the game in the bar area. Food is standard faire for this establishment. One night I had a burger and the next a crispy chicken sandwich. Both were good the presentation was nice and the person cooking the food did a good job with "medium-rare". The bartender on two nights was Matt and he certainly was a positive on my visits. Seated promptly, friendly service, decent food that's gone up in price without any noticeable food quality increase. I rarely order chicken tenders anywhere but wasn't very hungry so did. I encountered gristle in 3 of the 4 tenders making it a yuck experience. I'm sure these are frozen and cooked so not much the restaurant can do about large spots of gristle. Actually my experience was very good. Salad bar was stocked and looked appetizing. The lettuce on the regular ice burg was a little wilted but they had other types and it looked fresh. My salad was pretty tasty with out the dressing. I ended getting the bourbon chicken with the grilled zucchini and honestly didn't look like a lot and maybe not as appetizing as the salad bar but the flavor was really good. It was a perfect portion for me. My husband ordered the bourbon salmon and he had zero complaints as well as our friend who is pretty picky said it was his first time to Ruby's and he really liked the menu selection and enjoyed his pork chop with mash potatoes. My husband and I used to eat here at least once a week...it is close to where we live and fairly consistent with many choices on the menu. Something is definitely wrong at this particular Ruby's because we have been to others in different parts of the country and they're like the "old" Ruby Tuesdays we loved. The service is extremely rude. There is a bartender "Fay" I think? She consistently is distracted (although it's NEVER busy because we come late, so I'm not sure what could be more important than giving good service and making a tip, lol) She always walks away from you when she asks for your order. It's quite odd actually...having worked 30 years bartending with extensive food service experience I cannot imagine asking for a customers order and walking away, to stand at the register to "plug it in" as you are speaking. This isn't McDonald's where you take orders at the register for gosh sake. Like it's too much effort to stand near you and jot it down (if you can't remember) and then go put it into the register? This last time I made a request for less seasoning because the previous visit my meal was quite salty (almost inedible but the service is so hostile I just let it go because I didn't want to ruin the night!) and when it came time to give her the discount code at check out she walked away (per usual) and went to stand at the register expecting me to basically speak the code across the restaurant. She has done this in the past (no other bartenders do it this way). But this time I said "I don't want to yell it to you , here take my phone and you can just do it that way". This is completely unacceptable. She then has the nerve to say " there won't be any need to yell ...I managed to hear you request less salt just fine. No yelling necessary". Really??? Unbelievable is all I can say. Also the place was literally dead and our meals took forever to get to us. What exactly IS going on in the kitchen! The bar is never wiped down when we get there...like she waits for someone to sit down before she gives a fig about keeping things neat and inviting. She'd rather get the closing routine done than serve the customers. It's the last time we ever eat there with that awful bartender on shift. We go to lots of other restaurants and they manage to find polite and capable staff so I can only point a finger at management for the hiring disgrace. My wife ordered the ribs, which were extra dry. My sisters chicken sandwich was stringy and repulsive. On top of this, we waited 45mins for the food. We came on a Wednesday to use a Buy One Get One coupon. The restaurant was very clean and not crowded so we were seated right away. Service was good overall as our waitress hustled as she was the only one on this dinner shift likely the result of the difficult times for restaurants to find help. I liked that the salad bar was open during the pandemic and masks and gloves were required at the salad bar (disposable gloves provided) which worked well. Salad bar was decent, nothing remarkable or bad for that matter. Ranch dressing was watery. I had a full rack Of ribs, wanted onion rings but they were out so had fries and zucchini. The ribs were "OK" and what I expected. On the dry side but slathered with bbq sauce to compensate and meat easily came off the bone. Zucchini was excellent and piping hot fries were just ok - could have been hotter and less soggy. She had Asiago chicken which was super cheesy and good. Chicken was very tender and same sides I had. It was a decent meal and value (with 1 free entree) but at full price I may have been slightly dissatisfied. I wish you could substitute salad bar for a side with a $2 or $3 up-charge versus having to buy for $5 as we each had 1 not so big salad. Overall we enjoyed the meal. read more

I am very disapointed i went to the restrant one day and it was a TUESDAY and it was closed we decided to come the next day so i could complain to the manager. REBECA was very rude and was not any help. Also we found several hairs at the salad bar in the crutons. I'm not sure why this restaurant has been rated so poorly. I'm rather picky, and we usually get Ruby Tuesday delivered once a week. Their ribs are just-as-good-as Bear's, if not BETTER! Chicken strips and fried shrimp are delicious (last time I got their ribs-chicken & shrimp meal and was soooo happy. We have ordered the artichoke dip and tater tots a few times; always good. I can't recommend their grilled zucchini enough; I usually choose it for both of my 2 sides, which makes my ribs a keto friendly meal. They're dinner salad is huge and fresh. I love their cheesecake! I know it's a silly chain restaurant BUT ... I had a really good experience here. The last time I was at a RT, was well over 15 years! I was never a fan of their food - but my family wanted to go to a nearby restaurant and it had a salad bar so even if I couldn't find a meal I wanted I could at least have unlimited salad. I did not enjoy the dipping sauces (not anywhere near as good as Longhorn's when they had it) but the pretzel was fine on its own. They had a really great selection this time around. I got the hickory bourbon bacon sirloin with green bean and salad bar. Wasn't a fan of the green beans I would probably do a baked potato or mashed instead. Salad bar was great! And very satisfying! I got the 6oz sirloin and thought it was small when it came to the table but I struggled to finish it. First bite was like butter! So juicy and tender! I was extremely surprised! Ruby Tuesday's has definitely come a long way. My dad got the Cajun rib eye and mom got the sirloin with crunchy shrimp... Everyone finished their plates clean lol (except the green beans, don't order those lol). The only thing I got a picture of was the salad I made... My phone died just after that....
