If you are a buffet fan give this place a try. I really love the shrimp with cocktail sauce, the general tsoas chicken, spicy chicken and about ten other items on the buffet line. They have everything for everyone, from sushi to kids food to crawfish. For a buffet, the price is very reasonable, the place is huge and clean, the restrooms are very clean, the waitstaff is attentive and the food is great. My biggest complaint... I feel guilty for trying a bunch of different items and if I don't like two or three leaving a pile of unused food. If it's something I've never tried, I only take a little bit, but my perception of a little bit at the buffet turns into a pile of stuff once I sit down. How stupid it is?! I came here tonight on Dec. 31st, they have a special price with $16.99 because of the lobster. However, they only put out the lobster every half hour. Once the lobster out, everyone took it and I could only get 2 pieces with no meat. Secondly, i have a 10% coupon and they said they can't accept the coupon tonight because of the "holiday", however the 31st is not even a holiday. My child is 2 years old not even able to eat the lobster at all, they also increase the price tonight up to $8.99. Eventually, the total is my more than $50 (without tips). read more

I would never go back to this place. My boyfriend wanted to try it so badly since he had heard so many great things about this buffet, however, we could have not been more dissapointed. Went here with my wife on Valentine's Day. My wife loves buffets.The selection on this day was very good for the seafood. (Special Price = $15.99, normally $12.99). Three types of crab, lobster (the usual cut up in small pieces), great sushi/sashimi, nicely done calamari. Liked the steam buns too. Liked the soft serve and toppings. I didn't think the steam tables kept the food hot enough.Service was typical. Tight getting around to the buffet area in spots. But hey folks its a buffet and a fairly good one. Ok...so what does one really expect from a buffet? You want great Chinese food, there are probably better places. But I found this online, and figured for $13, there had to be something to like. So I took my 17 yr old fussy eater, my wife, and I here. My daughter enjoyed the wonton soup and the lo mein (though could have been a little hotter). My wife got stuck on a few of the choices she picked up off the buffet...her biggest complaint being too cold. Myself, I chose the peel and eat shrimp (loved the Sriracha!) raw oysters, and crab legs. The shrimp are a pain in the ----, but still very tasty. Oysters were good (though perhaps they need to shuck them as needed), and the crab legs were really good. (Look, this isn't Capital Grill, where for $50 you can get jumbo crab legs that are to die for, but these were enjoyable). Then I head off to the sushi bar and took an assortment tuna, yellow tail, unagi, and inside out rolls. They have a nice assortment of spicy sauce, eel sauce, the aforementioned Sriracha, wasabi, and very delicious and fresh ginger (even by sushi restaurant standards). Also, they had some sashimi cut up, to which I supplemented the thinner covered sushi pieces to make for a more enjoyable experience. A pleasant surprise on the sushi bar was the seaweed salad which was actually delicious. And also enjoyed the edamame, which are so hard to find on a buffet. On my 5th (or more) trip, I tried the a sampling of the other items on the hot menu. Really enjoyed the fried chicken and the seafood scampi. Duck was ok, as was the General Tso chicken. There is salad (wife said was immersed in water), fruit, and a smattering of desserts (wife liked the soft serve ice cream and the cookies best). I had eaten enough in my 6 plus trips to not need dessert. Other things to note. They wouldn't take our coupon (gotten on-line) because it was a holiday (President's Day). Also, take what you will eat, or they reserve the right to charge you 20% more for waste. They didn't do so with us, but that certainly made us take smaller portions (and for me, more trips) than I might have done otherwise. So, final verdict, if you are comparing this to Capital Grill, you will be sorely disappointed. If you are comparing this to McDonald's fish sandwich, well then this is a huge step up. For a great value for some sushi, seafood, meal out, then I think the cost to value ratio allowed me to give this a 3 stars. Go with lower expectations, leave satisfied! Enjoy. ( read more

The food is good in general, however their employee is not that great. I accidentally put my shells and other food finished unwanted stuff on the table, instead of their big bowl.(I honestly didn't know that bowl was for trash because I was so caught up with a Netflix show while eating there. ) then the male waiter came asked if I still want my stuff I told him "no". Then he is seemingly annoyed by my table top and quickly picked up my trash and dumped them into the big bowl then he slammed the bowl full of stuff on the table towards me and some of the liquid from the table were splashed onto my food because of his gigantic silent protest. I guess in any decent restaurant I should not expect to get this kind of treatment even it was my fault to put the trash on the table top by mistake. What's worse, I am Asian and he may assume I am just another Asian who doesn't speak English. If I were a white or black guy I am sure he won't act like that towards me. I nearly shout out to him " what the f...k, brother, take it easy" but I decided not to mess with him. I think this place is underpaying its employee and not treating them well, so they project their unhappiness towards their customers. I was there last night. I loved it when it was Empire and liked Ruby's as much. I have been there so many times throughout the years and always loved it until my last 2 times. Now the price is too high with the beverage not included! You have to wait for them to bring food out and it's gone in a couple of minutes! The food including the seafood (which is why I go) is terrible. The Won Ton soup tasted like flour. The waiter was very unfriendly. Just a horrible experience. With that being said the two women cashiers have been very rude on several occasions to students as well as other customers. Came here for lunch, which normally costs $7.99 but we had a -$2 coupon so it cost us $5.99/person. For that price ruby buffet is absolutely worth it, but even at $7.99 it's not a bad deal. Unfortunately I do not favor eating this type of food all the time - mostly oily and high carb content food. Their food includes: a sushi section that isn't too bad for the price, but very very subpar at any respectable sushi serving restaurant; a large chinese food section that includes chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, ruby chicken, pork chop, spinach, string beans, fried rice, stir fried noodles, clams, bbq pork, dumplings, etc; a deep fried section, a soup section, a cold foods station (shrimp, salads), and a dessert station. The dessert station consists of several fruit options (watermelon, cantalope, pineapple) and several premade pastries that I would seriously avoid. Overall provides a decent selection, albeit mostly of low quality meats, seafood, and vegetables. But when the price is $7.99/person, it's somewhat difficult to complain about the quality. If you come here just come here expecting to pig out, don't come expecting for a luxury meal. That's what they are marketing, and that's what they deliver, plain and simple. read more

Before going i checked online if there were any online coupons. I was so happy when i found a page with 5 coupons with ruby buffet in cherry hill at the top. I called and they said that i could use that coupon. It was the kind you dont have to print,you just hit redeem now. When I first got there at 700 pm for dinner, it was great. The food was fresh. The waitress dropped off crab leg trash bowls. So I was like awesome can't wait to have crab legs. Go to get some and there is literally a line of 10 people waiting for this medium sized pan to be filled. I decided to come back later. Well later never changed anything. Still a line. Finally decided to wait and I literally waited in line for 15 minutes. And you had to wait because if you didn't you would never get any. Got crab legs,which were good but not waiting 15 minutes in line good. I tried to track down my mia waitress on numerous occasions to get a napkin or a drink refill and was met with her rushing by averting her eyes every time. Finally had to yell excuse me but can I please get a napkin. And mia wasn't her name by the way,that stands for missing in action if you didn't catch that. Lol! really? okay,the rest of the food was good and fresh. Then came the time to pay. I showed my phone with the coupon and the waitress took it to the front and came back and said my manager said we can't take this you have to go print it out. I told her that it isn't a printable coupon you press redeem and use now. She said sorry talk to.manager! so I did and she was very rude and said I can't take that you have to print it. I explained that I called and was told I could use it and still I can't use it. Really,just give good customer service and honor the 2.00-3.00 off. We went there tonight with my disabled daughter. She may be over 10 but she is in diapers, doesn't speak, watches Sesame Street and only eats a little pizza and French fries. We have always paid for her as a child. It is not worth paying an adult fare for her. Tonight the woman manager refused to let us, citing policy. She did let us get her dinner in a styrofoam take out plate and pay by the pound. But then we were constantly scrutinized and watched to make sure we didn't feed her anything from our plates. I felt humiliated and embarrassed. I don't like being watched. And when I was cutting up her pizza and feeding her with my fork, (she needs help with eating) this woman manager started shaking her finger at me. I was feeding her the food from her lovely styrofoam plate! Sometimes people come before policy. My daughter is cognitively like a two year old. She is small in stature and does not eat a lot. It was Christmas Eve and we wanted to have a pleasant dinner out. This woman ruined our evening. Despite all of the reviews, we had dinner here a family of 5. The place was clean, the service was diligent and attentive, and the food was buffet food. Some dishes were extremely salty hence the 4 stars but the sushi options and the amount of seafood available was good for $13 a person. You can't beat $13 for unlimited raw oysters, at other places it's $1 an oyster or more. The desserts were good. I had the sugar donut the coffee flavored cake and the mix soft serve. They all had flavor and were sweet, I think the old guy lost his taste buds. Why keep eating if you were disgusted? So the carpeted floors in the dining area were a little dirty but we came here at 6:30 prime time for dinner and I would be bothered if the staff decided to take out the vacuum while I was eating. The place was not ghetto nor were the clientele it was a good mix of people not a surprise since it's right next to the cherry hill mall. So if you are going to give this place a bad review go spend $20 a plate at the cheese cake factory instead and wait for 90 minutes for a table. read more

This is just an awful place. First, the waitress have a very rude attitude and they don't even do their job. Our table was left with piles of plate. Second, they're sanitation disgusting. A small portion of their plate aren't clean. They're bathroom is on another level. They don't clean it regularly so the trash piles up until it a mountain. Literally, if a health inspector paid a visit, it would close down at that moment. Lastly, the food isn't very good. It's like they just threw a bunch of ingredients together and put it out. Went there for dinner. They advertise hot snow crab legs every 10 minutes on the buffet. Spent 8 minutes waiting and was the 3rd person in line. So it was well past 10 minutes. Tried 5 times to get snow crab legs. Each time the response was 5 minutes. I finally gave up. Talked to the manager to explain that I did not want to pay the dinner price when i was not able to obtain the advertised menu item. I requested a reduced rate. Arguments ensued to no satisfaction. The manager was rude and nasty. Will never go there again. The cheap, junky food is plentyful, but the more expensive is impossible to get. Since Kobe Grill in Marlton closed, my family and I discovered this place, and it is now our buffet place to eat. All the food is excellent, and they seem to put more effort into making the menu bigger and more interesting, than other buffet places. As far as buffets in South Jersey go, this is one of the better ones, at least for lunch. At dinner, I'd drop the review to one star, because they seem to leave out the same food that was put out for lunch. At dinner, the salad bar fixings look dry and wilted. The food is often not warm and everything seems a bit greasy. It's fine at lunch though, if you get there early. The food is the usual Asian buffet food, but most of it is seasoned nicely and hot. I wish there were some vegetarian options. It could definitely use some General Tso Tofu or something. They do have excellent fried plantains and their roasted potatoes are especially good. They also have a soft serve machine, with good ice cream (not like that chunky goop at Golden Corral). If you're looking for other desserts, you'll probably be disappointed though.
