I don't typically review businesses, but felt I had to when it came to Rudy's Auto Help. This place is amazing! The owner, Nick and his mechanic Sean went above and beyond installing leaf springs, shackles and shocks on my 1972 K5 Blazer. I was supposed to pick it up yesterday, but hadn't heard from them. So, I drove over to the shop at about 7:30 PM, and saw both of them still battling to install my Icon 2.5 aftermarket shocks. Surprisingly, they weren't frustrated, like I would be. Instead, they had great attitudes and were determined to get the job done before going home for the night. This wasn't a high paying job, but it didn't matter to them. Mann I'm just a young teen out here and love having fun with my car but just the other night I had a little accident, jacked my tire, strut, lower C arm and some other stuff in a lot. Nick has been my mechanic for years. He is up front and honest. I had been looking for someone for a while to work on my car and my brother told me about him and I have been using him ever since. It's hard to find an honest mechanic but I can tell you something he is honest about whatever is wrong with your car. He always goes above and beyond for his customers. Wonderful service! I finally feel like I found a mechanic I can trust! I had some significant issues with my 2016 Honda Civic randomly turning itself on after being in park, causing my battery to die. It was a crapshoot every time I walked out to my car, if it would start. I was constantly embarrassed to have my car die and it was getting awkward to have to ask strangers to help jump my car. I called several Honda dealerships, researched online, and asked friends what might be the problem but I had no luck finding a solution. Because my car is now outside of the warranty, I knew it would cost me an arm and a leg to get it checked and repaired at a dealership with no way of knowing if they were telling me the truth or not about what the problem is (sorry, i have trust issues with car shops). Going to Nick though was amazing- he texted me and kept me in the loop with everything he was doing to find the problem. After having the car for a few days and testing and inspecting it, he got to the root of the problem which was a faulty aftermarket alarm and gear shift. I've never been so happy to pay a mechanic as I was when he figured out the problem. I start my car with confidence now, knowing it's fixed. And for the record, I live in Hillcrest and Rudy's is almost an hour away, And I'll happily go back for even mundane things like an oil change, because I know who is actually working on it now. read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my car taken care of. Nick displays quality, professionalism and knowledge in the work that has been put into my little box car. Plus the shop dog is pretty wonderful :). Event 1: I turn into a parking spot and my front bumper catches the lip of a curve; pulling it completely off. I took my car over to Nick (after a few weeks of trying to find time) and he explains what's going to happen and how long it take to get all the work done. After putting it into the shop, the car came back looking great! Nick also informed me of other things that needed to be taken care of (transmission fluid change) and what resources he had available. I'm not the savviest in car things but he was able to show me what was wrong and explain what the fluid should be like. Event 2: Went in this morning to get my transmission fluid changed. While out, Nick gave me a call and asked if I wanted my oil changed as well. After all the work, the car is running way more smooth. read more

I've been going to Nick for almost 3 years now and refuse to go to anyone else. I've had many repairs done always for a great price and even bought a car from him after seeing how he operates. He always tries to work with your budget and save you money when he can without compromising on quality. Any questions I've had he doesn't mind answering and he even will help you out if it's something he doesn't have (tires for example) and tell you where you can go to get what you need for a fair price. I always send my friends to him and haven't had bad feedback yet. Even drove up from down in San Diego to have him do some minor repairs because I know he'll do right by me.
