Rarely do I ever leave a negative review but after sitting on this for a few days I decided it was something I was going to do. When I bought this house in 2017 I had an amazing pest control service who I loved and trusted. He came every 3 months, sprayed for ants, spiders etc, came in between if needed which was rarely, knocked down wasp nests as my daughter is scared of them etc. Sadly he had to give up his business and I was transferred over to Rudys pest control with the same services as I had. The first service we had the gentleman was in and out in maybe 5 minutes. I had to message them back because I still had ant trails on my property line. No biggie. It happens. Whatever. They came back out promptly to respray and it took care of it. 2nd time they came out was fine. Last week the gentleman messaged me on Tuesday he would be out on Wednesday. I explained my kid had covid. He was 6 days in and I was negative so I would not be meeting him at the door but would leave my gate unlocked so he could just spray the backyard and outside so he wouldn't have to have contact with me. He came and went. Thursday, my 12 week old puppy was out back to go to the bathroom. we have some logs that line our side walk area and she was standing on 1 in the rock area we have as my daughter was watching her and then saw something crawling and puppy went to sniff or lick it as my daughter yelled no... She started shaking her head nonstop and vomiting. Her face swelled up, lip rock hard and she went into anaphylaxis reaction. We rushed her to the ER vet. We believe she may have ate a black widow spider from the log back there. Thankfully, after many hours, she survived, The next day I went out back and saw many spider webs all over the back yard area some with active widows in them.... So on Saturday I messaged Rudys. I was polite. I explained the situation. I wasn't asking for Rudys to pay for my vet bill. I realize it is outside and there is going to be spiders. critters and such. But I was trying to figure out if it takes a while for the spray to kick in, do I need someone to come back out and spray more or what. This was a mere 3 days after being sprayed after all. I saw my message was was opened and read that day and figured great! I waited for a response. I realized it was the weekend. I get it. Plus I am contending with my puppy who still had some swelling. Monday I check my message and it's listed as resolved. No one called me, no one emailed me, no one texted me, nothing. No response. Nothing. So I waited until Tuesday thinking maybe it was listed as resolved because someone was going to call me that day to answer my question. Nope. So Tuesday I called and canceled my service. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I just can't believe not a single person could take 5 minutes to make a single phone call to let me know whether or not I needed someone to come back and respray or not. I always paid my bill same day. Never was late. Not a single time. In fact I paid last week. Promptly. And now will have to go buy spray to spray myself..... read more

I was impressed with Rudy's Pest Control while Ruben the Manager gave me a monthly rate of 29.99 for spraying inside/outside with call backs no questions no extra fee, he and Manny were Amazing! Ruben moved in as did Manny my Technician, Yanez the next step was cool, now gone, new Rep calls me while I am working and says that they want to raise my rate because he said the contract says outdoor only which Manny and Yanez had no issue with taking care of me and this guy says 10.00 more to spray inside, um no! I have been with them since we got our house, never had an issue until this new cat shows up and tried to get more money, NO. I blocked his calls and texts and I am moving on to another company, they took my payment last month and did not spray, so NO! Lee an eye on your bill cause gas prices are not dropping! read more

I have them the contract They came the next week to secure the exterior of my condo snd then sent another tech for the inside. Their prices are reasonable but their services are outstanding. Absolutely awful. Were to have a pest inspection done for a home contingency. Rudy's never showed up nor contacted the agent or sellers to let them know that they could not make it. Next appointment they could offer was after the contingency approval time. Had to get our own inspection done and thanks to Frazer we made the deadline! read more

These guys came to make a presentation in our real estate office today, and after a meeting that lasts one hour, started speaking about how little additional time he needed for his white nationalist presentation, and proceeded to keep everyone for 20 additional minutes. Then he proudly points out that their technicians SPEAK ENGLISH (wink wink). They have their ENGLISH ONLY policy printed for all to see on their brochure. I pulled the fellow over and spoke with him in private asking him if he understood the offensive nature of a racist comment on the front page of their brochure. I asked him if he has any bilingual staff, as I have homeowners in the valley who DO NOT speak English, and they are as deserving of service as any other. He was also unable to site the percentage of Spanish speaking residents in the Valley by number or percentage. They promised me a call back and new brochures this afternoon (omitting the ENGLISH ONLY dog whistle to white nationalism), and failed to call or to show up. Now, I'm home, and see that their website says "habla espanol" which means nothing in English nor in Spanish. Wow. If you're into that whole white nationalism gig, use these guys. They are as culturally sensitive as your nearest Neanderthal. No gracias. I won't be recommending these very English Only speaking people. I was afraid to ask about their hiring practices. Really happy with our service from Rudy's Pest Control. Our technician is very flexible and friendly. Increased our service to coming every month in the summer and we were able to negotiate a very good price. Also our technician spent some time discussing the cause for the recent increase in bug sightings and what else can be done about it. He also offered to come down right away and assess the situation. We have had Rudy's for many years now as our pest service. I have never had a single problem with them. I used to have their tech by the name of Jose for a long time who was extremely nice. He move on & no longer works for them. Now, we have had Albert and he's really the reason I decided to leave a review today. He is so kind and attentive especially when I had an annoying mosquito issue. Employee's with integrity and a positive attitude go a long way. As a small business owner myself I know first hand how hard it is to find employee's with a good positive work ethic. The service industry could use a heck of a lot more "Albert's" that is for sure. I am very disappointed with Rudy Pest Contol. When I hired them after taking over managing an apartment property in Indio I was very happy. They took care of major problem the apartment was having. I leaned in October they had stopped coming by in May, the roaches returned. I called the office and they said you need to speak to the manager, I left Eric Ramirez messages with no return phone call. I called the office again, was told that they attempt to reach me three times, when I asked how, there was no answer. I cannot believe my account was cancelled with no notification phone or email and no sense of responsibility return my phone calls. read more

I'm giving them 2 stars because they're nice people, otherwise I'd rate a one star. I'm renting a home where the landlord uses Rudy's. The home has a lot of problems with bugs. The house was getting sprayed every 3 months, but when it started warming up, we experienced an increase in bugs. I contacted my landlord, and she agreed to have them spray monthly, instead of quarterly. She said she asked them to adjust it for us. When the guy came to spray & I asked him about the monthly spray, he said something about how it would be hard/not sure if he could adjust the contract she already signed up for. Lo & behold I called this morning to find out when my next spray is scheduled for, and it's scheduled for August. I've also had a hard time (& my landlord too) of getting a call back from the gentlemen who sprays our house to setup service. He was just out last week, and there's still bugs in my house. I'm really at a loss of words at this point. Like I said, they're very nice people, but their customer service, or lack of, needs improvement. Their communication skills need to be developed. I shouldn't have to take time out of my day to have to deal with problems because they can't followup & do THEIR job. If you have a limited problem with bugs, then I guess they would be okay. However, if you have problems, and require more attention then what's 'normal'.. they are probably not for you. read more

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their field. I called to schedule service and the next day they were here. They came and did an inspection of my office and treated the problem explaining everything to me as they went along. The prices were fair and I was able to pay upfront for all services. So far I haven't seen any other critters, but that doesn't stop Rudy's Pest from coming out to service the area regardless. I'm happy to be critter free. read more

We have a "winter" home in one of the mass built communities in Palm Desert which was plagued with rats, especially when we were not there. Rudy's did "exclusions" for the normal rat activity; however, the rats kept coming. After many visits, they found a faulty sewer vent pipe deep in the attic causing the problem. They replaced it and solved the problem. Rudy's had many opportunities to say they could not find it, but spent many trips for my very reasonable fixed fee determined to find it. I know they lost money on me, but they deserve credit for sticking with it and solving the problem. read more
