My wife and I have tried a lot of thai food from different restaurants and oddly enoughly, we continue to come back to this one. Personally, I think the two highlight dishes are the pad thai and pho. The pad thai meat has almost a smoky grilled taste to it, which is awesome. I think it is because they chargrill the meat before it is served, which I've never seen in other pad thai dishes. Personally, I think the pho is way better than most pho joints in the Atlanta and Buford area. It's a little heavier in terms of flavor and I have never been disappointed ordering it. Worst thing about the dishes is that you can tell that they skimp out on the meat. Majority of the meat for the dishes are shaved and cut into very thin slices so you lose that meaty bite and texture. I've never seen a thai restaurant do this before BUT the food is still good considering the meat hoarding. As a heavy meat eater, I can overlook this given how delicious the dishes still are. So you're wondering, why the 3 star if the food is so good? The service, while for the most part is nice and friendly, can be VERY slow. We've eaten here over a dozen times and on busy nights, I've never seen more than 3 waiters/waitresses. They also double up as the hosts, taking phone orders, and ringing up the receipts. See the problem here? Many times throughout a night, water is forgotten to be refilled or you feel like you have to awkwardly make a fire to get someone's attention with the smoke signal. We have also had negative experiences with their younger waiters. Our last experience dining there, my father in law paid for meal and did not leave a tip on the receipt because we had cash on hand and were going to leave that on the table. Service that night was okay, nothing horrible or memorable. When I went to the front to ask for another bag for our to go boxes, the young waiter seemed agitated and grabbed a bag responding, "You know we don't include gratuity on the checks, right?" I was shocked that he would say that, assuming that we didn't know to leave him a tip. My father in law has broken English and I don't want to assume the worst, but I think the waiter was thinking that he was some foreigner who knew nothing about the concept of 'tipping' your servers. We responded back very friendly, saying that we left the tip on the table. The paying customer should never be in a situation where they have to exhibit more grace and self control than the business itself. My wife and I love supporting local businesses and restaurants like this, especially when you believe their product/food/service can contend with bigger and better-known businesses, but c'mon... it's things like this that push your customers out the door. In short, the food is great but don't go in expecting to receieve even an average service, because honestly, you will leave disappointed. read more

We had gotten in late and looking for something for take out. We ordered the sesame chicken and the chicken pad tai. The pad tai was excellent. Some of the best I've had. The sesame chicken was okay. I am giving 5 stars because the food is so yummy and most of the people are really nice. I am happier when I just call in my order and pick it up because I feel like the service isnt predictable. This place had great service. They do have gluten free options which is always a plus for me. My friend had the pad Thai and said it was a little dry. It is not gluten free. I am on a business trip in Cornelia and was in the mood for spicy so I went to this place. I ordered the mussamun curry it was very flavorful and has the perfect amount of spice. Ate here for the first time a few weeks ago. The spring rolls are awesome and the sweet chili sauce to dip them in is amazing. I had the Pad Thai. Love the noodles and the fresh herbs in the dish. My husband had the sesame chicken and he said it's in his top 3 of any he has tried. Price are fairly reasonable, especially for the large portions. They were out of crab ragoons so we were asked to substitute after we were waiting 20 minutes. We said okay the fried dumplings, we received streamed dumplings with one side burnt fried. We love Thai food and were hoping to find a local place that we could frequent. This is NOT it! The service was so bad we ended up pouring our own tea and water. The meals came out so far apart that we couldn't eat together. The chicken was suspicious looking and the crispy chicken was more petrified than fried. Love this place! The food is outstanding. I've never had a bad meal here. The portions are huge so my family usually gets several different things and we share them. The spring rolls are the absolute best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and crisp! One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Consistently delicious and authentic Thai food. They also have a few Americanized southern dishes with a Thai twist, which is popular among the locals. We were the first people in this restaurant and were waited on promptly. From there it was all downhill. After waiting 1/2 hour for our food, I went and asked what had happened. Up until then, no one had offered an explanation as to why we were the only able that had no food. All I got was they had had to put people ahead of us When I asked why, the woman had nothing to add. When we finally got our food 10 minutes later, it was only lukewarm. Not sure what happened here. No apologies, explanations or offers of an appetizer while we waited. I've been going to this place for the past 15 or so years...This last time was a straw the service is horrible... I ordered pho now I'm the kinda person that adds oyster sauce on the pho. The gentleman comes out and says they don't offer oyster sauce w pho which is a damn lie again I've been a loyal client for over a decade. They over charge u, they don't charge the amount that is displayed on the cart no worries I still leave a tip but this time they brought me a plate I didn't order (but guess what I had to pay for) plus the plate I wanted. I had to go to the store next door to buy oyster sauce but since the spending limit is over $5 so I had to pay $5.48 at their store and yet the gentleman expected a tip. And due to I having to pay 80+ for 3 meals and 1 meal I didn't want. Have been going here for lunch at least 2-3 times a month since moving to Cornelia. My wife thinks of this as comfort food and usually gets the #15, Pad Pak, and egg rolls while I vary my order. The one thing I get every time is the coconut soup and even sometimes a large bowl with shrimp! We have never had a bad meal from them and yes sometimes service is slow because of one reason or another but so what! The wait staff are always friendly and they have recognized us for years to the point of knowing what we want. Will continue to go here as long as they are in business.
