I've been here a few times and slacking on putting in a review. One of my favorite food trucks in the area. They are always at this Exxon gas station parking lot with a4 person table under an awning. My first time here was cold. We ordered they came out and gave us Turkish coffee, no strings attached. Very kind and giving. Our go to is the combo plate. So much great stuff and we can never eat it all. Probably the best Mediterranean food I've had in this whole Bay Area. Surprised it's from a food truck so hidden away in Vallejo. Food 5 stars Service 5 stars Decent human 10 plus stars

Wow! All I can say is how delightful and delicious I am soOo grateful for the gentlemen at the counter. My first time really and I can't say it will be my last! (Funny story, was on my way a couple days prior and got into a fender bender before so could make it- luckily no one was injured- and was able to go today)- Anyway, the Kabob, the rice, the sauces! Just got a combo plate and a kabob plate from them and the serving sizes are great, the Jam Pack the trays , service was awesome the lady was very sweet. And the truck is awesome. All in all the food was amazing 5/5

My coworker has been telling me to try this place for months and I regret not coming sooner. The woman behind the window didn't speak much, but her sweet smile and head nods worked perfectly for me. I ordered the Greek salad with lamb and it was ready for me in under 15 minutes - note there was just 1 order before me. It was LOADED and delicious! It came already dressed and mixed and to my surprise some of those grape leaf rolls (idk the name), extra sauce (which I loved for the spice), and warm pita bread. Definitely worth the price compared to their gyro - which I plan to try next week when I return ;) They are located on Broadway and Nebraska, in the gas station parking lot. Since the truck was on bricks, I do not think they move from that spot much. If you're in the area, I definitely advise making that stop!

Great local food truck that serves Mediterranean food. Ordered the combo plate and surprised at how large the portion was. Loved the sides it came with; salad and rice. Also ordered a side of fries and liked that half were seasoned and the other half wasn't. Didn't have to wait too long for food since there was no one ahead of us when we ordered. Finally! I've had one too many way too dry falafel encounters since moving to CA and Rumi has officially ended the streak. Along with the falafel plate, our order also included a chicken shish kabob wrap and a gyro wrap- all of which were fresh, tasty, and a great value. We found this place through door dash, delivery was quick and food was still hot. No complaints here, I'm so glad we discovered Rumi Kabob and am looking forward to supporting this business again! read more

I've been a regular customer for some months now at Rumis Kabob and the experience eating here has never fallen short from being amazing and their food is delectable! There's a great selection of choices that are healthy, filling and the lovely beings operating the establishment have always extended positive energy and are kind. Our first time trying this place. What a great option for dinner tonight! Read reviews on Nextdoor about this place and asked Hubby to go pick up something. The food was amazing. This is my go to spot in vallejo. Food always comes with a smile. The food is always cooked to perfection and never fails to disappoint me. Ive never had a bad experience with them. I love the Turkish coffee and baklava they serve here on a Sunday morning. Make sure to try the falafels too. I dont eat meat so it's lovely to have a vegetarian option. read more

I lived in the middle east for several years and am very picky about falafel. I couldn't believe that I could enjoy the same amazing flavors that I experienced there at a food truck in Vallejo! Not only are the spices perfectly balanced, the falafel cooked to perfection, the baklava is packed with pistachios and isn't too doughy, but the level of hospitality and generosity made a mark. We've already got them to cater a lunch for us at home and we will be back soon! read more

I love this place! Ever since I stopped commuting to work in Berkeley I've been looking for a place to get good Middle Eastern food in Vallejo. Well, the search is over! I found this great food truck down the street from Vallejo High School parked in a gas station and decided to try it. I was blown away by how good their food is. Their falafel is really tasty and their beef and lamb gyro wrap is addictive. I am sooo happy to have a place here in Vallejo that has great Mediterranean food freshly cooked with great ingredients. with great ingredients. The fam I've read some of the the other reviews and I am going to slowly work my way through their entire menu as a treat to myself. P.S. I would have attached photos but couldn't wait to dig into such delicious food. read more

First time coming here, wasn't aware of this location and it being Halal? YES!!! I've been liking Persian/Turkish cuisine, and this place does not fail to disappoint on top of that one plate lasts and they are not shy about giving meat (Carnivores unite!). I got the number 4 (I was trying to explain I wanted all meats and no veggies at all but I was tired and hungry and English isn't the auntie's native language so please be patient!!!) and while waiting she brought out a nice plate of hummus AND falafel for me and my kids... I haven't had such fresh crunchy bread like that with such a mouthful of delicious hummus... very delicious food, and the hospitality was very welcoming. Come try it out if you are remotely interested in Mediterranean food, or just want to try something different, because I know I'll be back! read more

AMAZING!! I love this place I've been twice now and I get the Greek salad with lamb and it's beautiful. The flavors unique and just so clean. He really is talented. This place is absolutely the best and is now my favorite place to eat in Vallejo. He is also really nice! He gave us some walnut baklava and it's the best baklava I've ever had. I went here with my brother. We ordered 2 combo gyros and 1 falafel gyro. While waiting we were given samples of falafel. It was SOOOO delicious. The owners of this truck really care about the quality and taste of their food. This is one of my favorite go-to places for good Mediterranean food. read more

Absolutely wonderful! I love the Chicken Kebab platter and the Falafel here may be the best I've ever had. They make a great hamburger and fry's also . My go to spot for Greek food. Food is fresh, tasty and portion size is large. Meat is flavorful and juicy. I love the grilled vegetables that come with the combination plate. Sauces and desserts are homemade. It maybe a food truck parked in the gas station parking lot but don't let that fool you. This is a hidden gem. read more

Good Mediterranean food. We have tried most items and everything was fresh and delicious. My favorite is the wrapped gyro but you have many choices. The portions are pretty big so you can make into multiple meals. Go try it, you will not be disappointed. The friendly service they provide is also appreciated, something that is lacking much too often at other places. read more

But the second time it was normal. Staff is friendly and nice and surprisingly they have samples to try! Loved the chance to broaden my horizons from my usual drink. The store is nice and bright with subtle music playing. This is now my go to spot to get some things done! Not 5 stars due to the tables not being wiped down but otherwise it's a clean looking store!

The team at this store are hard workers. I watch them diligently service each and every customer and always do it in a friendly manner. First and foremost, let me tell you, he is absolutely incredible! Not only did he go above and beyond by giving me a free baklava when my order was just a minute late, but his food tastes like pure love. We were absolutely delighted with every dish we tried - the adana kabob plate and the beef and lamb gyro plate were both exceptionally delicious. The adana kabob had a special place in my heart, but I must admit, the other plate was just as mouthwatering. This place has now become my absolute favorite spot in Vallejo. Can't wait to go back and savor more of that delightful food! read more

We couldn't get Mediterranean food from other places we called in Napa since I live in American canyon & end up ordering from here. Honestly this place being a good truck we were very skeptical but what a surprise... not the food was amazingly delicious but what a nice human being the owner & his wife were. They were almost closing when we placed the order & look at the pictures. Amazing presentation & once again delicious food. They let us see see their truck from inside & it was clean. Glad we didn't spend our money at the hype restaurants in Napa. Great work guys read more

Do yourself a favor and just come eat here! I was hesitant at first because it was a food truck, but trusted other reviewers and ended up being an AMAZING experience!!! This is easily the best mediterranean food I have tasted in a while (and I have tasted a lot around the world). Portions are huge, food is prepared by actual Turkish people who were splendid with us today (the lady told me that the chef has 45 years of experience in restaurants and now he owns this small business). Food here is amazing! Completely flavor packed and absolutely delicious! I love coming here to either grab lunch or dinner. My personal favorite is definitely the gyro plate which comes with a generous amount of meat and rice along with a side of salad. The burgers here are amazing too and let's not forget the owners are literally sweethearts and cater to my requests all the time for my food. This is hands down the best Mediterranean food I have ever tried. It was very tasty and authentic. The portions were big as well. You won't find anything better around. The owners and chefs are wonderful as well. We tried the lamb kabob, adana kabob, chicken kabob, hummus, and pistachio and walnut baklava. Every single dish was just perfection, meticulously crafted. I'm thrilled to have discovered this amazing restaurant in Benicia, and there are so many reasons why! Firstly, it's one of the few halal restaurants around, which is fantastic. Secondly, the food here is absolutely delicious, on par with some of the best spots in the Bay Area. This is an excellent spot to get a quality meal at a great price! We stop by almost every Sunday after church, and they never disappoint! We have had a few friends over to eat with us and everyone loves the all the tasty meats and sauces. The best part about it though is the the customer service.
