The burgers are the most generous beautiful tasty patties, fresh! The fries seasoned and you will be in a state of bliss. They serve the lettuce onion and tomato separate. Easily this beats most "standard" burger joints around town all those are basic. This is made with respect for the food to an art form. Yes it from a food truck and made by humans not Costco burgers mass produced. I lived in a glorified food park a small fishing village north of San Jose, it ruined my well exposed pallet for basic food here in Vallejo. This burger made with respect and full of flavor beats anything else I have found here. I have not been here for quite some time. That was a mistake. Came by today for a gyros. Had the lamb/beef combination. Flavors were amazing, the I added to sauce, took it in the next level deliciousness. My photo doesn't do the size justice. It had to be 12" long and stuffed full. Ate what I could. Wow, have I really never reviewed this place? Got to correct that right now. I've been hitting up Rumi Kabob since they opened, and they are still consistently amazing. Every time I go I ask myself why I waited so long since the last time! We are truly blessed to have such great Mediterranean food options in the area. Everything they make is so fresh and delicious, I can't say enough good things about it. I usually go for adana or chicken kebab but literally everything we've tried from their menu is great. Definitely disappointed this is my second time driving to the spot and it's closed. On the website it's listed as Open to 8pm, drove by and it was closed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's not very much ambience for this very modest looking food truck with a small covered area with some chairs in a table to eat in the gas station parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't let this dissuade you though because the food was some of the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had & portions were very generous. The gentleman running the food truck was very polite and included all the different sauces, napkins, and plastic utensil so I can eat it in my car. My coworker has been telling me to try this place for months and I regret not coming sooner. The woman behind the window didn't speak much, but her sweet smile and head nods worked perfectly for me. I ordered the Greek salad with lamb and it was ready for me in under 15 minutes - note there was just 1 order before me. It was LOADED and delicious! It came already dressed and mixed and to my surprise some of those grape leaf rolls (idk the name), extra sauce (which I loved for the spice), and warm pita bread. Definitely worth the price compared to their gyro - which I plan to try next week when I return ;) They are located on Broadway and Nebraska, in the gas station parking lot. Since the truck was on bricks, I do not think they move from that spot much. If you're in the area, I definitely advise making that stop! read more

Absolutely delicious every time. We've tried the dolmas, kebabs, baklavas, chicken gyros, combo plate, falafel, and hummus. They do not miss. There is so much depth and flavor to their menu items(their chicken gyro meat stands out for this reason). The serving sizes are generous and side sauces delicious. When friends visit from out of town, Rumi Kebab is always a stop on the Gastronomic Tour. The original owners seems to have been pushed out and the food is not the same. It's decent but the meat can be dry and the portions are smaller. The wait time is quite a bit longer and the guys kept lying to us about what happened to the previous owners. At this point, I'm here like once a week lol. The food and service are always on point and the woman who takes your order, is the sweetest lady ever! There is a sign on the window stating that there is a wait for your food because everything is made fresh to order. This isn't a "fast food" establishment so don't expect to get your food right after you order. It's about 10-15 mins but again, everything comes out hot and bomb and well worth the wait. I'm picky and particular so I've only tried the chicken shish kabob plate and the Greek salad with chicken but the kabob plate is my fave because the chicken on the salad comes kinda cold and I personally don't care for that, although the salad/greens you get with the kabob plate is sooo bomb. I saw Rumi Kabob on Yelp and have been meaning to go here. I haven't gone to any food trucks in Vallejo. I'm so glad my friend suggested we go for lunch. The truck is parked on the corner of Nebraska and Broadway. Looks for the Exxon mobile gas station. There's easy street parking. For seating there was a metal picnic bench under a tent. So you have your choice of eating there or to go. My friend had been here before with her Egyptian partner who loves this place. I ordered the combination gyro wrap while she got the lamb and beef gyro wrap. The owner was so nice! My friend asked for water and he personally delivered a large new jug of water and two cups. The food also came out quickly. He said 10 minutes but it was probably a shorter wait. The food is delicious and so filling! I really liked the lighter non-spicy sauce. It really hit the spot for my craving for middle eastern food. We had lunch around 12:30pm and I'm still stuffed at 6:30pm. The portion probably should have been split into two. Right when we finished and were about to leave the owner came out and gave us free pistachio baklava! What a sweet surprise! We were too full to eat them right there. I had my share a couple hours later. Wow! Next time we are in the area I'm going to order some baklava to share. They also had walnut baklava. I really liked the pistachio baklava. A true hidden gem!!!! There are many halal restaurants in vallejo but this food truck has to be the best one! I came here twice now and both times was treated with so much love. The food is fantastic, i mean the portion size is just amazing enough to fill up 2 people! The flavors are so unique and the meat is cooked perfect, it's soft and tender. I highly recommend the #1 gyro or plate they are both delicious! Everything is well priced and 100% worth it.
