Finally tried Rumi's for takeout. Ordered the Naderi Kabob, Filet Mignon Shish Kabob, and lamb chops. All the meat was flavorful, tender, and cooked med. well to perfection. My favorite was the Filet Mignon Shish Kabob because it came with an assortment of great charred veggies. The rice was perfect and a generous portion. The service was cordial. Had chicken Kabob Sandwich (wrapped in pita bread) and yogurt with shallot. Extremely satisfied. My waiter was courteous and friendly. Finding out the waiter was Afghani, I thought I was dining in an Afghani restaurant! The atmosphere was comfortable, calm, and quiet. The after meal hot tea completed an enjoyable meal. I decided to try this restaurant out afer reading the great reviews (I actually typed in "best restaurant Corona" and this came up). I was not disappointed! I had the shrimp kabob and the seasoning on the shrimp was wonderful. For a couple extra bucks, you can "upgrade" your rice to one of their special rices...As a general rule, I do not enjoy rice. In my entire life, I can count on one hand the number of times I've had rice that I could eat by itself. Well, I don't remember the name of it - it was the rice with the lentils, dates, and raisins - but oh my gosh, it wa delicious. It was so good I could have just eaten the rice by itself. I even took the leftover rice home! For someone like me who does not enjoy rice, that is saying something (incidentally, the only other rice I can eat by itself is that Chimchurri rice from Trader Joe's). Anyway, this restaurant was just lovely; I took my mom with me as a special treat for her. I can't wait to go on a date night here with my hubby! There was also a live classicial guitarist and the ambience was so relaxing. I think the music is only on the weekends though. The only minor issue is that the wait time for the food was a little long. But, the music was so lovely that my mom and I didn't really mind. In a way, it was actually nice to have the wait time, since it meant we had more time to relax and talk. Lots of good mother/daughter bonding! If you want to have a nice, slow, relaxing dinner, with well-prepared and seasoned food, I highly recommend this! I will definitely be going back. Thanks to all of the reviewers before who helped inform my decision to try it! PS One of the other reviews mentioned that the bread they serve was nothing special - and they were right on that - it basically looks like lavash bread cut into squares; we just put spooned one of the hot appetizers into them and rolled them up so they weren't bad at all. So me and my friend went here for lunch. I ordered Filet mignon kebab, and she ordered chicken one. The chicken wasn't cooked (SO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR CHICKEN BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH BECAUSE U MIGHT GET SALMONELLA FROM EATING RAW CHICKEN). I called the waiter and told him that my friend's chicken wasn't cooked and he just took her plate without apologizing or anything, VERY RUDE ATTITUDE. My plate wasnt good at all. We were in town for a convention at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and were looking for a restaurant open on July 4th for dinner for 17 people and Rumi's came through for us in a big way! They not only accommodated us but also another large group of witnesses. The service was great, the food was delicious and we all had a great time. Thank you so much for being open!! We will definitely be back next time we're in town! A bunch of us got the Rumi's #3 dinner for two and it was a great variety and more than enough food. I highly recommend it! read more

I was a little nervous when we pulled in because the place, entire shopping parking lot included, was empty. We recently went Paleo and It was our first time trying Persian food after we found this on our Healthy Out app. My husband and two kids (4.5 & 1) shared one of the meals. We got a plain salad that was so tasty with just olive oil and like as dressing. The Basmati rice was tasty. The salmon, chicken and meat we got in our meal was absolutely delicious. I salivate just thinking about it. Best part was it was less than $40 for the 4 of us. Not too bad. The only con was that the waitress must have been new because she didn't seem to know much about the menu or anything for that matter. But she was so nice, it didn't bother me too much. Wasn't what I expected:( I went the for dinner on a Friday evening to find they don't have wine at this establishment. What is persian food with out wine? Our waiter was very nice and welcoming. The food was good. I tried the grape leaves but they fell apart.I ordered the lamb kabbob with rice the meat was very tender and jucy. I stole a peice of beef off of my boyfriends plate and that was mmm good. It was a bit cold inside and ony a few people eating (way to quiet for my taste). The price to me felt a little on the higher end for the location and the nieghborhood. I may give it another chance when they have wine. read more

Okay so I've been coming here since they opened. I absolutely love it! I used to drive all the way out to darya or Caspian (both are quite the distance away) but I actually prefer rumis over those two anyday! I go here often, I like the chicken and beef combination koobideh. I also like the chicken pieces. Everything's good! Service is alright. I recommended this place to a few friends and they loved it too! I have catered from here for a few parties. They have awesome party deals! Def check it out. Previous reviews mentioned about the waiter(s). But I have no bad experience with the waiter whatsoever. One was not as friendly, that might be true, but on my last visit, the waiters were good and friendly. Anyway, with do further ado, the food is definitely excellent. Pretty good Persian restaurant. Interesting variety in the menu with adas polo (rice with lentils and dates) and tahdig (crispy or burned rice) as well as standard kabobs. More upscale than Kabob Hutt nearby. While the barg kabobs were tender and flavorful, the meat seemed like it was cooked over too low a heat and didn't get a sear on it. Fine service. read more

Today I went for iftar/dinner at Rumis service was excellent, I called to make a reservation for 14 people earlier in the day I was running a little late I called the restaurant and placed the order for 14 people before I arrived by the time I got there the table was ready and with in minutes the food was on the table. We really enjoyed our meal plus we had free appetizers the Yelp check-in. I had a very nice smooth California Chardonnay wine that wasn't labeled, only that it was California Chardonnay. I thought the restaurant was attractively decorated and a calm peaceful setting with music in the background playing Softly. I'm not sure if it was evening or the shortage of help butt our service was a little bit slow, never came back to check on us we had to ask for things. Could be that they were down a waitress. This place never disappoints. Hands down to the best food all around the Corona/Norco/Eastvale area. I love coming here as my belly is always satisfied. Since my last review I talked about slow service but learned that small family businesses and amazing food will take time. Love the combo dinners and lunch combos. During lunch, I sometimes forget the Yelp check in, which would be nice if reminded but not complaining. The homemade cheesecake is also to die for!!! read more

I went back to this restaurant with some out-of-own guest and was hoping the food would be the same if not even better. Well it was great!!! As a matter of a fact I wasn't expecting live music although it didn't match the atmosphere but it was nice to actually have live music. The food was amazing it was a party of six so we all ordered the Rumi combinations but 3 different plates, average price $24 for 2 ppl. It was plenty food and like before no leftovers. They give you just enough to be satisfied which is fine. I am more into taste than a plate of piled up food that is nasty. Thumbs up!! Food was great. Only problem was I ordered Rumi's salad with kalamata olives but when I got the salad black olives were the only olives I could see. Mang informed me that when they run out of kalamata olives they put black olives instead. I give this place 4 stars because the food was delicious, the place was clean, the service was very good, and I even liked the music (it was very peaceful). One thing that stuck out to me was that the staff didn't "over serve" us. In other words, they made sure we had what we needed but they left us alone to have our meal. They didn't interrupt 15 times asking if we needed something and didn't try to make friends with us (not such a bad thing)! Overall the only saving grace about this restaurant was their food. Service was on the slow side but friendly enough. I found an ant in my water. Their deserts were prefrozen prefried and not very good. I was a bit disappointed. On the plus side, The kabob dish with rice and salad was delicious.
