Very ordinary, doesn't compare favorably with other Persian restaurants. No appetizers offered like pita with onions, basil, etc. Just a coupla thin pita slices with butter. I can't say anything about the food because we never had the opportunity to eat. It took 20 minutes to get our menus, another 20 minutes to take our drink order, then after 25 minutes we just got up and left because we were the forgotten party of 6. When asked why we were leaving ( On Mother's Day mind you) we said we have been here for over an hour and other people that came in after us are already eating, the server said, "I was just taking care of some stuff and I was gonna take your order right after" What?!?!? Excuse me... Maybe you should take care of your guests first and foremost and then get your other crap together in the down time of our food being cooked. Will never go back. Went to Kabob Hutt the same day and got seated, taken care of and a much better atmosphere. I would be surprised if Rumi's stays open. The food here was amazing..I'm giving it three stars because of their service (or lack there of). I understand that we had a big party there but that doesn't mean they could act the way they did. First off most of the ladies that worked there were rude, then each time I got a refill the glass they were giving me were broken. The first time I ignored because it wasn't such a bad crack....the second time I touched the crack and the glass would wiggle and there was little glass particles coming off on my finger. You can't be that blind to miss it. They also kept taking plates without asking if we were even done. Like i said before, we had a party of 20 adults and 10 children ...it was a big crowd of loud Hispanics but they could have still had better service. I will try to go back with a smaller crowd and see they were just having an off day because their food was just amazing! read more

FINALLY...a decent Persian restaurant in Riverside County! They recently opened up, but let me tell you the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Today was our first time here we went for lunch. The service was very attentive and prompt. We ordered to lunch plates, one with chicken kabob and the other with a ground beef kabob both great Persian dishes. The food was obviously cooked fresh when it arrived the chicken kebab was the most moist I have ever had expecially bean that it was white meat. The basmati rice was normal but the two different salads choices were out of this world definitely a spot we will return to frequently and all for $23. I went to Rumi's to have some classic persian dishes. The place was FREEZING cold. The temperature had to be around 30-40 degrees in the restaurant. When we asked to turn the heat up, the waitress turned on a space heater that was on the other side of the restaurant. I ordered the Tahdig, which was missing the most important characteristic--the crisp. The rice was soggy. For the main course, I had the kubideh, another classic that should be relatively easy to perfect. The kubideh was flavorless and dry. The food was not worth the price. Was referred by a friend, and very happy. They have large portions on lunch menu, and it is a generous time period, 7 days/week. The pomegranate/walnut sauce is amazing. Had been to Rosine's; liked Rumi's a bit better. Friend told me started by chef from Darya in OC; food is better than my experience at Darya in Orange. If you're looking for average food and bad service, then this is the place for you! I tried this restaurant out last weekend for lunch and was not at all impressed. We were sat down immediately, only to be ignored by everyone that passed by us for over 10 minutes. This restaurant is not large, so as the servers walked to neighboring tables, I was fascinated by how well they were able to avoid making eye contact with us. It was after about 10 minutes that we then attempted to flag someone down ... Nothing. Everyone kept walking past us as if we weren't there. Finally, an older gentleman stopped by to take our order. It took us a few seconds to order, and he darted off. We needed refills, but he didn't stop by our table until 15 minutes later, when he brought us our food. The food was good, but when combined with this type of service, it's definitely nothing that would be worth coming back for. We finished our meal and waited, once again, to get the bill. The customer service has always been bad. But yesterday they crossed a line and ruined my cousins graduation. We had a large party of 18 people. We knew what we wanted from before, and we ordered right away. We did not get water served to us until 20 minutes after we sat down. And we were given few butter packets and couple pieces of bread for 18 people. When asked for more, so we can pass it down to other guests on our table, we were rudely told to just order more food later. When my dad got up to talk to the server to ask her politely to get few more bread for the rest of our party, the owner interjected and started yelling. My father sat down, because he did not want to ruin my cousins graduation. He then continued to tell us that this restaurant is not for you guys, and yelled at us to get out of his restaurant. He opened the door, and forced us to leave. Its was the most humiliating experience at a restaurant. The customer was just asking for more bread that they provide all their guests. If they did not want to give bread, they shouldn't even offer it. But they cant bring 3 pieces of bread for 18 people and expect not to be asked more. We had guests with us, and we were told to leave. A fast food probably has a better service they their stupid restaurant. We should have gone to Kabob Hut down the street. That's our only fault. Made reservations for a big party of 15 or so guests and supposably preordered a package that will feed over 15 people minimum. When we arrived, we were merely greeted by the miserable looking manager and staff, but it only gets worse. The quantity of food was unbelievably stingy and we got 100% ripped off. We had to keep pushing and bothering the server and manager (Mustafa) to keep bringing and serving us the food we already preordered. We also had a 2nd smaller table for 4 guests and the manager(Mustafa) told our 4 guests to grab food from the bigger table and didn't serve them at all (even taking away their bowl of salad)... I thought he was kidding but he wasn't! Unbelievably rude and disgusting!!! This was a complete rip-off, the bill was about half a thousand and everyone only ate about 1 shish kabob and a bit of rice average! Complete rip-off they gave us the amount of maybe 5 people along with the most terrible service. Stay far away from this place, shame on them, it was an embarrassing experience with our guests. read more

No one came to ask you need anything or if we need water refills, had to go up and pay at the register . Had a coupon and the guy probably the owner/manger said it's only for takeout while walking away from us rudely but the coupon did not say anything. This place is really good! We had the beef koobideh, chicken shishkabob, and the steak shishkabob. They were all great, but the chicken was in particularly insanely juicy and tender! I'm not even a fan of chicken (I'd rather have beef or pork first), but I couldn't get enough of it. The waitstaff is smiling and attentive, and the food came out in a timely fashion. My wife and I go to Rumi's regularly, usually on a Friday night. We enjoy the classical guitar player who is usually there. The highlight is the food. We have tried several different dishes and have never been disappointed. We love the lamb dishes, ground chicken kabobs and the vegetarian stew. read more
