Definitely top of their game in finding and installing a new well. Nick (co-owner) came out to our raw land and identified the ideal spot for a well. It's now pure instinct for him but it is a science, for sure. His son, Jordan was excellent in the follow-through and well-drilling. Pics show the top notch equipment and materials installed. They hit 100gpm + through rock! The Rumsey Lang office staff, Brigette and Annie are excellent with getting the estimates, county paperwork and permitting done. Just one professional shop. Well worth the investment to get your water infrastructure going. read more

I called requesting someone come out and check the water level in my well. The appointment was made, then postponed by a day, and then on that day I got a call saying my well was fine, quoting the water level and the gpm, so they didn't need to come out. I asked for some documentation backing up what I'd just been told and I was sent a report, made by Tanko, from 1998, for which they charged me $75. I wrote back saying that the report didn't assuage my concern about my water level as of today, and would still like it tested, and no one ever responded. read more

Rumsey Lang came to my rescue. When a tree came down breaking my water main, they came right out. They quickly found the break. When the water was restored, we found that the pressure pump had burned out from trying to pressurize nothing. They found a replacement, fit it in and things now run beautifully. Thank you Branden and Bridgette read more

When I called Rumsey-Lang and told them that I'd been out of water for a month (due to various misadventures with the weather), I could feel the urgency they had. Within a couple hours, I had them up to work on my well pump. They had to come twice because the well pumps they had brought (and the one that I had installed before) were too large for my setup, but I appreciate that they didn't sell me on the more expensive one. In the end, they got it done as quickly as humanly possible and got water back into my home. The only gripe I have is that they had to come back a third time and spent a lot of time (= money) trying to find a leak, which I ended up figuring out (it was an irrigation system that had fell over in the storm). It would have been nice to have the leak tested for and diagnosed the first time they came over, but really, it's my fault for not figuring it out myself. Overall five stars for service, attitude and promptness. read more

Rumsey-Lang installed out well and has serviced it ever since. We have had strange issues (lightening strikes, critters, etc) damage the equipment and Rumsey has always been there to help us out. Will always call Rumsey-Lang to save the day. Can't recommend them more. read more

Hired Rumsey Lang to get an old well up and running, in addition to my well I already had.they did that but pulled the pump out of my good well and it caved in! I ended up with only one well working and it cost me plenty. The guys were all very nice , I just feel they could have taken care of this in a much better more fair way. read more

So... I'm buying a property in their area. I needed a well inspected 'cause I had no idea what I was looking at. I had one opportunity (and only one opportunity) to get it checked out... while it was pouring rain... on incredibly short notice... These guys came through! In speaking with Tom, it's obvious that he's been in the industry long enough to know what he's talking about. Jared, his son, was the one to perform the inspection (with less than 24 hours notice, mind you). Jared performed a pretty thorough well test and gave us a consultation for suggested maintenance on the spot. He even accommodated a septic inspector by diverting water from the test site to the septic system. Tom followed up the next day to discuss pump test results, then again the day after to discuss results of a water sample test and a detailed quote for repair work. Even Dawn at the office was pleasant to speak with though I caught her by phone on the way out at the end of the day. Seems like a nice group of people to work with. So, when you need something well-related done, give Rumsey-Lang a call. I will be... :) read more

Triple-F award: Fast, Friendly and Fair. Complete customer satisfaction. There is a reason they have all 5-star ratings..they are just that good. I have had them out twice to work on our water system. Had an issue with the well. Even though it was not an emergency Tom inspected it the same day I called and had it fixed two days later. He walked me through the issue, explaining in detail how the well worked and what was needed. Next I discovered several leaks at the garden hose bibs. I called on a Saturday, Tom and Billy had someone out on Monday. Fred was great and had it all done in less than two hours. He too walked me through how the well works, found another leak in the drain valve in the pump house and fixed that too. He had all the parts he needed with him, hence no delays! These guys deliver great old school service..Thank you! read more

Got my well in the August, Nick with his son did in one day, still waiting on the complete system. Hope they call me soon with a quote, need a pump and other stuff read more

These guys have Horrible customer service! They cheat you and lie to you. They've caused more damage than help! Do not use this company!

I am a Realtor and work with many different contractors for transactions. I rarely write yelp reviews but I was extremely impressed with this companies knowledge, customer service, and how quickly they worked. I was told this project would take up to 4 days and they had it done in about half of the time, kept all parties informed along the way and far exceeded expectations! I will absolutely be using them and referring them to others in the future. read more

I have been having Rumsey Lang service my well equipment for several years now and I have always been impressed with their service. I really needed them last week when my well pump failed after 26 years in operation. I called them just before they closed for the day and they were out at my house early the next morning and my pump was replaced and working by the early afternoon. I did not even go 24 hours without water. They are very prompt, professional, communicative, and fairly priced as well. You cannot go wrong with this company. read more

My well pump breaker kept tripping so I inquired if Rumsey-Lang serviced well pumps, and they do. I was without water and they had two guys onsite within an hour. My electrical box was sending about 40amps when it should be about 11 so they replaced it and I had water again. My old box wasnt sealed well from weather plus it was full of worm cocoons and webs. Great service, great price and great team from start to finish! Highly recommend their services. read more

Very impressed! Came home Tuesday to no water, called after hours and left a message. Wednesday morning received a call back, Tom was here by noon (we live in Swansboro) to look at our well. After his inspection and test, it was decided that we needed a new pump :( . He said he would have the office call and schedule installation. He mentioned that they were pretty busy so I had no idea when it would be scheduled. Received a call around 4 from Tom, telling us he would be here in an hour to install new pump himself. YAY! It was installed and flowing beautifully by 8 p.m (Rumsey-Lang was the contractor who drilled the well 20+ years ago) We were only out of water for 1 full day from the time we discovered our well broken. The knowledge, customer service and prompt service deserves a "Whoohoo, as good as it gets!". If you need a well drilled, fixed or just parts, please give this company a call. They are 5 star company! read more

Overall amazing experience! Presented them with an unusually difficult situation with unique obstacles and they responded with excellent quality, price and top-notch customer service. Sadly it's rare to find all three of these great qualities in a business these days and we undoubtedly will refer them to others in the future! read more

If you have a well issue- save yourself a lot of time and money. Normal plumbers are not trained to handle well issues. Trust me, last time I had a well issue, the plumber whom I hired ended up leaving baffled. The plumber assumes it's a frozen pipe, and if it is not a problem they can see under the house or in the house, they DO NOT have the knowledge to fix it. Rumsey-Lang came up to Tahoe for me and had it fixed within a very short period of time and fair pricing. They now have my business for life. If you have a well issue- this is who you should call. read more

Came home last night around 9 to no water. Called this morning at 8am. 1pm problem solved! They're the ones to call!!

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! What can I say, Tom Lang is a HERO - our family was completely out of water and he dropped everything on Father's Day to help us get our system back online. Special thanks to his wife and family for letting him come read more

The professionals at Rumsey-Lang were thorough in obtaining information, determined the level of importance, and arranged for an immediate service response for the following day. Although I was able to determine the problem and fix my well pump housing and pressure regulator, it was such a relief to know that our home-bound aunt was not going to be placed in immediate danger due to their awareness and willingness to prioritize. Thank you, Rumsey-Lang!!! read more

I can't say enough about Tom and his service this past weekend. My well stopped working in the middle of the 4th of July weekend and as a recent transplant to the country, I had no idea what to do. He called back as soon as he could and tried to walk us through the problem over the phone. When that didn't work he came out first thing on Sunday morning and replaced the broken part. He also took the time to walk me through other things that I needed to know (there was almost no salt in the water softener!) and was very knowledgeable and patient. I am very grateful and highly recommend them for any well services you need. read more

Spoke with Dawn about our well leaking from the pressure valve. She was very polite and knew where her team was out in the field. Received a call from Brandon a few hours later and he was prompt and knowledgeable. Problem fixed. Thanks Fred, for the recommendation on a professional, local well company! read more

I've been considering trying another company to service my well and water softener for the last two years. The guy who owns and does service for the company I had been using is nice enough butt.. he is expensive and honestly I don't think he's proactive enough with his service and troubleshooting. He will fix the current problem and leave festering issues for the next 300.00 service call. Bring in Rumsey Lang. They were very accommodating and were able to get a guy out in a reasonable amount of time. Tom showed up on time and was personable and nice to talk to. It was obvious he knew all aspects of local ground water, well and sanitization equipment inside and out, and was more than happy to explain a lot of things so I could understand them. I'm sold. I used their company stickers to cover up the ones that were on my equipment. Give em a try. read more

My water went out in the morning and I work 1.5 hours from my house. My well tank was rusted and spraying water everywhere.....I have to have water in order to have the toilet work and etc. I have children. I called Rumsey well on my lunch break and the owner had had called me back at 530 pm to let me know he was on his way out to replace the tank on a 108 degree day! He kept in contact with me throughout the day and let me know what the plan was. My well got fixed less than 24 hours of the initial phone call......the tank and piping was replaced and he and his technicians kept me informed every step of the way. FABULOUS service. The pricing was VERY good as well. This company will take care of you. They go the extra mile for their customers and I will use them for all my water and piping issues from now on. read more

I am in complete shock that this company only has two good reviews. We bought our house back in later part of 2012, so the well/pump was already installed. This weekend we noticed we were completely out of water in our storage tank. We reached out to the previous owners to find out that Rumsey-Lang drilled our well and installed our pump. We called on Sunday afternoon thinking we would just leave a message and Nick answered the phone. WOW was he helpful, kind and caring about our situation. He instructed us to do a couple things before hand to help him isolate the potential issue. We called him back (Sunday) and gave him our findings We knew our location, as he just drilled a new well for our neighbor in the development. He scheduled someone to come out today (the very next day- what service!) The technicians showed up mid afternoon ready to tackle our project. Not only was the lead (Colt) was spot on with knowledge, information and kindness, so was the 2nd tech on the job to help. Colt was happy to answer questions, and his knowledge base was suburb! The scope of the project was identified and repaired immediately. Very few companies completely WOW us, and without a doubt I can say this company did. Please don't waste your time on companies that you are taking a gamble with whether or not they know their stuff, this company truly does. I would recommend them hands down! read more

I never give reviews but today I had the pleasure of having Billy come work on our pump, what a wonderful young man he is, very knowledgeable on his trade, answered any questions I had. Showed up in just a couple hours, had a difficult situation fixed in another hour and a half. Cheerful in the rain, worked together, got it done. Old school El Dorado County, and that's a compliment. Nice work, guys. read more

El Dorado County and surrounding areas have lots of good service people, and some not so good. Rumsey-Lang is at the top of the best. I only wish I knew of them earlier, as I inherited the well service company that had originally installed the well for the prior owner of my house... until I found Tom Lang. Tom is smart, knows his business, and knows the area with deep roots in the community. The people who work for the company are of like kind. They are all courteous, prompt and thorough. We are lucky to have found them. They have responded within a couple of hours on more than one emergency. read more
