There's not too much parking available on the streets near the restaurant, but I found some right down on Bronxwood Ave about a 2 minute walk. Upon arrival, I was a little surprised to find it kind of beat-up looking, a damaged table (with the veneer peeling away from the top)... not looking quite as great as it did in the photos I saw on Yelp. But the food looked good. I ordered beef (in a thick gravy) over seasoned white rice. Even though it's ready to eat, it's not warmed up, so I had to wait a few minutes for them to plate and microwave it. They added a generous amount of the sauce/gravy to the top, but the gravy kind of disappears into the rice. The flavor wasn't really to my liking... I couldn't identify what exactly was the dominant spice or spices, but they're not a favorite of mine. Regardless, I ate all of the meat... but as you can see from the photos, you should have plenty of RICE left when you're done! I brought some home. Service was casual and consisted of the guys who work behind the counter. It's not real table service. Definitely do not go here on a date unless you know the person is casual and adventurous and not at all scared of a "hole in the wall." It comes with hot or iced tea, a few mini samosas, rice, a lunch-portioned entree and half of a naan. Service was quick and there's plenty of seating inside. There were also signs posted up that they're starting an AYCE brunch on the weekends. Kismat is my favorite spot for Indian, they have an incredibly extensive menu so there's definitely something for everyone.
