I hit a pothole on the FDR so hard I thought it had blown out my tire. I looked on Google maps to find a place to get a used tire must to get me back to Vermont. I found closer places but choose to drive here on my run flat because of the high reviews. I am so glad I did. Chucky made my day. After taking the wheel off we discovered my tire was fine but my wheel was bent. Most poeple would have said sorry, nothing I can do, but Chucky took it upon himself to take a sledge hammer and straighten my wheel enough to get the tire to reseal and get me back on the road. Not only were the guys at the shop incredibly nice, but i also felt that they were informative and gave me a decent deal. I know very little about tires (or cars in general), which I readily admitted. The guys showed me all of the different options and thoroughly explained Tires 101 to me. I also appreciated that they didnt try and push a new tire on me, which I was really ready to buy (thinking that it would be a 'better' option). Neither did they try and push overly priced tires that I had looked up online- and gave me the pros and cons of all the options. Finally- they also gave me a courtesy inspection of my other tires and my spare. Highly recommend Rush Auto Tire Shop. I recently got my tire replaced from this shop and I was impressed with the service. My mechanic, Chucky, was very professional and cordial. The service was quick and the price was affordable. My tire was replaced in under 10 minutes and my other tires were checked for proper air pressure. I have no complaints. José, the man in charge, is a small stature ecuadorean gentleman who came across very polite. A rarity in this mechanic shop busineess. (First impressions are big) Tight small garage, get there early to avoid the waiting time and the hassle of not having anywhere to park, but there's plenty of space in side streets. Cheap, affordable place where the mechanic knows his job very well and also the pricing.. not trying to rip you off, When I went he didn't recommend patching my tire cause the screw that was in there came in through the side, which was a very weak area to put a patch and he said the patch wouldn't work 100%. So I asked him if he had a new tire, which surprisingly he said no, cause he had over 300 hundred tires there in plain sight. So I ended up buying a used tire in good condition. (Almost new), not only did I save over $200 in buying and installation but I was out of there in 10 minutes minus the waiting time which wasn't much anyways. All in all. If you just want some tire work done right in a timely and affordable manner, GO HERE! read more

Came by Rush Tire Shop today and had a great experience. I gave a call early in the morning to get a quote to have my wheels balanced and have a leak patched up. Everything about this establishment is superb! I will never go anywhere else. I traveled from Long Island City, Queens (taxi and car fix heaven)to have them fix my bent rim. Had a flat and searched yelp for tire shops, as it was time to replace all the tires anyway. This shop came up at the top and now I see why. I called them early in the morning to see if they had 4 lightly used tires for my car, because I'm cheap. They didn't have any, but the man I spoke to whose name I didn't get said they did have 4 new ones for $72 apiece. Works for me. I went in about 2 hours later, and met Chucky. He went to get the tires, and came back to tell me there were only 2 tires in the size I needed. Apparently the others had sold in the interim. No worries, Chucky said, he'd order more the next morning and they'd be in the following day. So I had him swap the back two tires out and was on my way in no time. The next night, when I went to move my car for alternate side parking, I found that the other rear wheel with the brand new tire had gone flat. I checked the tire for any pokes or holes and couldn't find anything. Slapped the donut back on and went back to Rush Auto two days later when I had time. Called before I came in and Chucky assured me there were more new tires and we'd get to the bottom of it. Within minutes, he found that the problem was the air valve for the tire, and not the tire itself. I decided to replace all the valves as a result, and Chucky gave me one of them for free because I had brought the car back rather than getting mad about the situation and going elsewhere. Both times I was in, the job was done very fast and Chucky was joking around the whole time. Car is driving great now. A+ read more

I bought four brand new Farroad tires from Rush in 2016 for my Subaru Outback. My current tires were acceptable​, there was no wear or uneven tread but I wanted new tires for a ​quieter​ ride. The aggressive tread on my tires made them run loud. I spoke with Rush Auto Tire about this. They quickly and nicely changed my tires, kept the old ones, charged me $480 but were not going to give me a receipt, but I insisted. The person working wrote a receipt with the words, "40 thousand mile tread wear limited warranty​." He explained the "limited" was only for the tread that meets the road - no side walls, which is very fair. I noticed excessive wear over the (2018) winter​ but was too lazy to go back; I​ rarely drive my car in the city, I use it mainly for long-distance travel. Less than two years after the initial purchase, April 2018, I have 18,000 miles on the tires, a far cry from 40,000 and the back tires are bald with absolutely even across the tread wear. I took my car back to Rush, not only were the two men coarse, one started yelling at me, that nothing is wrong with their tires, it is my car. First,​ they said the shocks, then the alignment​ and how I have to take my car to a mechanic and they will not honor the​ warranty​, adding that "another man (​at the business) sold me those tires and I have to take it up with him" And they walked away. If you need new tires, now way, I would never recommend this place. read more

I hit one of NYC's numerous and massive potholes that gave me a flat tire and a bent rim. I drove with a donut for a few days until I could get the rim fixed. Yelp and Rush Auto to the rescue....I searched for a rim repair place and Rush Auto had 5 stars and great reviews. They said I could come by anytime, so I brought the complete wheel (tire and bent rim) to them on a Sunday afternoon. To my surprise, I was told to come back the next day to pick up the repaired rim (I thought it would take much longer). I returned on Monday evening and they remounted the fully repaired wheel. Not only was the repair done quickly, but the rim looked as if it had never been damaged, they re-balanced the wheel, and the staff was all incredbily friendly and helpful. My car runs smoothly now and when I followed up to see if they thought I needed to balance the other wheels or get an alignment done, I was told that they didn't want to take my money unless I specifically noticed the car not driving smoothly or the steering wheel shaking, but to come back anytime if I did notice a problem. They really raised the bar for car repair services!! They have very convenient hours, they're very friendly, they completely and quickly did the repairs, they didn't try to scam me into unnecessary services and the price was very reasonable. This shop and their staff is a rare gem in the car repair world. Thanks to Rush Auto for making a very unpleasant experience so easy and pleasant to resolve. read more

I recently moved to the area and this morning found myself with two flat rear tires. Not sure where to go, I checked this place out on Yelp and Google... and what a great find! Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure to meet Chucky, however I did get to meet his brother-in-law Justin. What a sweet and humble guy; friendly and professional, and funny too- kept cracking jokes the whole time. The shop itself is small but it's clean and tidy and well organized. Pricing is very reasonable and they take credit cards too (which I find all too often these little shops usually take cash only). Parking can be a real pain in the ass, since the shop is situated right on Atlantic Ave, and with crazy traffic in the morning you can count yourself lucky if you don't get a few peeps laying on their horn. Service was pretty quick with no hang ups and I was out of there in no time. Hopefully I won't be getting a flat tire anytime in the near future, but if I do, I will definitely be coming back here!! read more
