Have you ever just been so mad that you can see fumes coming out of your ears? that's where I am at with these guys right now. We already have had a few issues here before with our truck and our being told an aggregious amount of money to fix when it did not need that. We had it done less expensive by handling it other ways so figured we would take our Land Rover there since they seemed to have some equipment to help us. I got my Oil changed and had my engine light on afterwords, now for sure it seems strange but anyway, I took it back they did a diagnosis and then my battery light came on...strange hmmm but anyway I bought the battery for it and had them put it in, another charge. I take back the core and we had it checked by auto zone it was in good working order, full charge has quite a bit of life left. ANGRY NOW, YES. So when they put it in they couldn't take the time and check the battery out even with us sitting there over an hour and waiting for it. Mind you we had taken out all the necessary area to have them put on the battery. So not only are we out the battery charge of 350.00 but they had the audacity to charge us 75.00 to put it in. We COULD NOT afford that right now, did they care...GUESS NOT...Maybe they thought that since we have a rover we are made of money. Will I EVER recommend them again? Absolutely not, in fact I may report them to the BBB for this sort of behavior. SHAME on them. Such a simple thing to do. SIMPLE check the OLD battery to see if it is truly dead....Doing that would have allowed us to take the new one back get our money and work on any other issues that were coming up with the diagnosis they did, no instead they did us dirty and now we have lost $435.00 because we can't take the new battery back and are sitting on a battery that can't be used. Some of this makes me wonder what sort of diagnosis was truly done in the first place. I am so disappointed since this place is local to us. My ears are still fuming. read more

Rush is second to none! I was so glad to be referred to this shop when my vehicle's a/c was out. Not only are they honest and fair in their pricing, they are very understanding and accommodating with awesome customer service. They see each customer as a priority, and it shows! My car was immediately diagnosed, and even though I didn't ask for the repairs to be done that same day, Rush saw that is was a hot Texas day, and they saw this as an urgent matter. While waiting, my 5 year old and I didn't mind one bit...comfy chairs for me, and they never once complained about my son asking lots of questions and simply being a 5 year old boy! And that first visit wasn't just a fluke, one time experience...when we returned because my headlights wouldn't go off, they took the most cost effective and safe approach to getting my car fixed, ordering a new part, and scheduling the next visit according to MY convenience. I have no doubt that the owners and managers treat everyone who walks through those doors like family. It is so hard to find an honest and fair mechanic these days, knowing I have Rush now as my new shop is a breath of fresh air. I even recently had a question about a battery I bought at AutoZone, and the owner himself took the time to talk to me about what could be the problem and helping me to get the answers I needed. My family loves Rush Automotive! I originally took our cars to a competitor and I felt they were taking advantage of me. Every time I would go into the competitor's store I always would walk out in my hand all the things that need to be fixed on my car. I took my daughter's car in and the competitor said it needed another $800 work done on it. I went to Rush Automotive to get a second opinion. They took the time to see what was going on with my daughter's car and they found out that all it needed was an oil change. My daughter's car has not had any issues since. I saved so much money!! I liked how they researched her car and they even called the competitor to talk to them about my daughter's car. They went over and above what they needed to do. I've known Joe Rush 17 years. I first met him at Mac Haik when he was the Quick Lube Manager. His dream was always to open his own automotive shop. He took a chance and he opened his first shop in 2011. I've used Joe when he was at Mac Haik and even though I've purchased all my cars every 2-3 years after my first oil change he has always had my business. I've sent a lot of my friends and acquaintances to him and they can't believe how honest and reasonable they are at Rush. I not only go to him, but 3 of my children who live here. Who wouldn't want to have great service and integrity all in one shop. The sign of a good shop is when the owner isn't there you are treated with that same service with a smile and integrity. I've been using Rush Auto as my primary auto shop since 2013 for repairs on my 2001 Ford Escape. Since then I've spent $1,672 in repairs that more than likely would have caused double anywhere else (I know this for fact). One thing I've come to learn about Joe Rush and his entire staff, is they work with great pride and do things right, and they know their business inside and out. Hello All, I wanted to update you all with latest results with my issue with Rush Automotive. I got a call from Joe (Rush Automotive) after I posted my review here on Yelp. First of all I didn't expect a call from them but they did to my surprise. Joe was very calm and explained me in detail about my issue with the Car A/C and what might have happened after couple of weeks to my Car A/C after fix. He told me to get my Car back to shed to see what he can do to get it fixed and he offered me a very reasonable price this time to get it fixed as he understood my financial obligation. He was very cool, generous and helpful to get my car A/C fixed within affordable price. I am happy with their follow up call on the issue and the service they provided to get it fixed. I booked my appointment for a Front End Alignment at around 2:00am on Saturday. At 8:00am I received confirmation of my 11:00am appointment. When I arrived they were ready for me, so I sat in the comfy chairs and played on my phone. In about 30 minutes they were done and came to give me the details of the work. There is a problem with one of my tires and they mentioned the symptom, one that I had already experienced and recommended I get that taken care of. No high pressure sales tactics to have me get more service, just great service for what I went there for and letting me know that something was still wrong. From start to finish it was a very pleasant experience and made me feel great even at checkout when the price was over $20 less than I expected. Honest people! So my car was jerking when I would hit 60 and 70mph on the highway so I took it some where so they can hook the machine to it they told me it maybe the coils so I switched them out now I don't know much about cars at all! So to my disappointment the car was still jerking so I called rush automotive to set an appointment and explained what was going on with my car and the gentlemen gave me advice to change the spark plugs and if the car still is jerking after to call and make an appointment so my wonderful mother and I changed them and the car is working perfect now! I understand for some people that was common sense but I am telling you I don't know nothing about cars and for him to give me helpful advise is everything! I took my car to these guys for a spark plug change and they told me well with that you need a new distributer cap cause mine was faulty. We'll them not knowing I had just put a brand new one in a week earlier the wanted to charge me 700.00.. I picked my car up went home and put in 6 new spark plugs and wires for less than 50 bucks and my car runs perfect. So the reason I'm writing this is because my roomate just took his car there for an oil change they said it was going to be 32 bucks and suddenly after its all said and done it ended up 80 bucks. This automotive shop is knowledgeable and very honest. I've never trusted a shop like I do with this one. The guys running it are friendly and make sure not to have me do something that isn't necessary. They offer me a ride home while my car is being worked on. If I wait while it is being worked on they have an amazing lobby with reclining chairs and and a nice tv to watch a movie or entertain children in the waiting room. They have also towed my car before when it broke down in the middle of the tollway. It only took them 25 minutes to pick it up. Going to Rush Automotive is actually a treat for me. Free coffee from the Keurig and oversized leather recliners make having your car repaired amazing. The guys at the front counter are super helpful and honest. I know as a woman we tend to get treated differently but not here. My daughter overheated her Buick and i was told the engine was ruined by a family freind who is a mechanic. i had it towed to Rush and told them car was overheating and they fixed her car and even said lots of other things were wrong with electrical since when she overheadted car it blew out some electrical, just let me know but never once pressured me to fix it, just made a suggestion. 1999 Buick has been running great since Rush fixed her up. The guys at Rush are great! I've been using them for a couple of years now. They were referred to me through a mutual friend and I have to say that referrals are the best way to know that you're getting in with the right people. They are quick, efficient, and reasonable on pricing. As a woman, I am always worried about getting taken advantage of which is why I don't trust anyone else with my car except them. I could not have asked for faster, or more friendly service than what I received form Rush Automotive. After speaking to Justin yesterday, and getting a quote for a starter replacement on my Honda Civic, I scheduled to have the car towed in to them the next day(today). The car was towed in at 11:00am, and at 12:30pm I received a call from Justin, letting me know that my car would be ready to pick-up in just under an hour. Rush has taken care of my car for over a year. The one thing I appreciate most is that they tell you what needs to be done and what can wait. They don't try to "sell" services or exaggerate issues. Also, they usually have repairs done ahead of schedule. Their waiting room is spacious and comfortable and their front staff knows how to have a conversation. They make it pleasant to be there. Rush Automotive was recommended by my son in law and I was so thankful to find that they were really an awesome business. The staff was very well mannered and even told me that while they certainly could do my repair of a steering column coupler that needed replacing, the car was still under warranty for this repair to be done at a dealership !!
