Tried this place out since I thought it would be just as good as Vostok dumping house in Seattle but I was definitely wrong. Not sure why there are so many great reviews here. The employee was nice and pretty quick with getting our food out. The place itself was gross, there's cobwebs everywhere and it doesn't seem like anyone has cleaned the place since it's opened. The upstairs railing is covered in dust, it's disgusting. For $10, 12 dumplings seems reasonable but they are so tiny. It's doesn't even fill you up a bit, I feel like I had a snack not an entree. I got classic and I wouldn't recommend it unless you want your mouth to be coated in curry powder for the rest of the day. This place needs major improvements. read more

Three cheers for another fun and diverse culinary option in Olympia! We saw it walking by and thought it looked fun , smelled delicious, and had a groovy atmosphere and super friendly chefs! We determined that we would come back for lunch! We did and really enjoyed ourselves! We had the classic beef dumplings with sour cream! Very tasty and plentiful portion size! The inly problem we encountered was not having enough room in our bellies for the delicious sounding desserts! I loved the upstairs seating which ( on that hot summer day) was kept cool and comfortable and affords a sweet view of the dumpling preparations below. We left feeling like we had discovered another little gem of Oly eateries - and we will be going back! read more

Absolute hands down worst food I've eaten in Olympia, those peroshki things are nasty and give you the worst swamp ass.

I stopped by here after reading about them in The Olympian. Small but clean location with a limited menu, but I was impressed nonetheless. We had three different dumplings: potato, beef, and mixed, each with different toppings: Classic (butter, sour cream, Sriracha vinegar and curry slice), loaded baked potato, and cheddar jalapeño. All three were really good. Dumplings are a good quality and texture, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. There was a lot of dumplings for three of us and we had plenty leftover. I will certainly be back to try more items on their menu. read more

An absolute flavor-bomb that inspired me to order them twice in three days.. the first time my girlfriend tried to steal them after trying one, and tonight I ordered them while she was at work so I could have them all to myself. This place exceeded my expectations. This is yummy, reasonably priced comfort food. The service is friendly, and surprisingly efficient despite being a "one man show". We had grandparents and kids and everyone was happy. The dumplings are obviously made off site and frozen, but they are unlike anything I've ever seen, and tasty. The toppings are delicious. I love beets and the beet salad is fantastic. The piroshki are definitely hand made and absolutely delicious! We ordered all 3 types and had them for breakfast the next day. The beer on tap is of great quality and variety. Ordering to go tonight, but enjoyed eating in as well. The upstairs dining area is funky and warm from the boiling water below. Yummy lunch, got 12 dumplings half beef/pork, half potato/cheese. Alaskan style. Also got a potato/mushroom piroshki, borscht and two Russian tea cookies. To go and ate at nearby park. We were very hungry and couldn't finish. Borscht was great, ate with a fork. Loved the piroshki, very potato heavy but flaky crust. Dumplings were tasty, good combination. Just okay - I didn't see anything special about their dumplings and I thought they were dry. I got a side of the horseradish sauce and it made me spit out my food - I have never experienced such an intense burn before. Oh my god. I hear that it's the borscht and beet salad which makes this place shine, so I'd be willing to try again. read more

My partner and I were looking for lunch and were tired of all the usual downtown Olympia restaurants we frequent. Decided to try this place and were very pleasantly surprised! Their signage is sort of funny like maybe you expect it to be a chain or crappy but it's delicious. The owner is so sweet and the dumplings and borscht were excellent.
