Tried this for a quick evening meal. The burgers were packed very nice for our to go order, everything was separate so it wouldn't get soggy. The burger was a bit dry but favor was fine. Wouldn't say it was the best we've had. The fries weren't very good. Dry and hard. Not much flavor to them but had an odd taste. We also got Mac n cheese. However it's just the Mac n cheese from a box. We've had that several times to know and it was the same. I ate it but was expecting a better quality mac n cheese for the $6 it costed. Maybe we just got food on an off night for them but wasn't the best on our experience.

This cozy gem of a place is where locals & tourists can enjoy some of the best burgers in Colorado! (As well as live music, comedy shows, karaoke & bingo.) At over 9,000 feet & 25 miles west of Colorado Springs you'll find this awesome family run bar & grill. I was told by a local that the burgers are flame grilled in an outdoor kitchen by Russ, the owner. Inside is a small no frills dining room & bar, playing classic rock music in the background. The dining room tables have paper towels instead of napkins, which you'll need plenty of since the burgers are SO juicy. You can watch sports on the five TVs in the bar. If you're a beer lover they serve Colorado Craft Beers. Also, there are beautiful views of Pikes Peak that can be seen from the outdoor patio tables & chairs. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when we went. In spite of being crowded our server sat us quickly & took our orders promptly. She was friendly & checked on us often. Our meals arrived fast, they were brought in from the outside kitchen. The burgers & sandwiches come with fries & are very reasonably priced. Note: they have an Impossible Burger too. The Bacon Swiss Burger was absolutely delicious, cooked to a perfect medium. There is nothing like a flame grilled burger, so yummy. The Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich was enormous, twice the size of the bun. It's very flavorful, but be prepared it is spicy. I highly suggest making a trip up the mountain to check out Russ' Place!

We stopped in here on a recommendation and really enjoyed it. After hiking in Divide, we needed food. I got a Moscow mule and the Kona burger. The mule tasted good, and I'd try another one next time. The Kona burger had an awesome tangy sauce that paired well with the pineapple (I was skeptical) and beef, and I loaded it up with pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomato. I'd recommend this burger and the fries. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well amd the chicken sandwich next to me looked tempting. Don't be turned off by the exterior. This place was awesome.

Very casual. I've been here a few times, didn't know my dog would be allowed in. That's a big plus for me. Sunday afternoon, 4:30 ish and it's clearing out. They have bingo and other themed nights which can get really busy. The burgers are great and they have a good beer list. I'm finding it real pleasant just sitting here with my dog and my draft listening to whatever is playing.

What a great find!! The staff was amazing, the patrons were all super friendly, and the food was fantastic. Not pictured were the onion rings that my husband ordered and they were delish. I'm super picky about onion rings and cannot stand when you bite it and a limp onion pulls all the way out. These were crisp throughout and seasoned nicely. They make their buns in house for their burgers as well which is a huge win in my book.

Wow, what a great experience! I was traveling from Black Hawk Colorado to Cripple Creek Colorado and had to stop for a bite to eat toward the end of this relatively short journey (about 3 hours), I was starving. The small town, laid back, "Cheers's" (everyone knows your name) vibe is nice and relaxing. Jewels was my server/bartender and she was great, keeping me updated on the status of my order and including me in the bar talk. Someone is about to be the proud owner of a chicken laying a light bulb, Bahaha! Anyhow, the spicy blue burger hit the spot. The burger was cooked just a bit more that medium rare, placed on top a lightly toasted bun, smothered with blue cheese crumbles and franks red hot sauce on a bed of crispy french fries paired with the 420 Pale Ale. What a lunch, perfect all around. I'm truly glad I stumbled across Russ' Place. If you're in the mood for a savory burger and a beer, this is it!

We heard that the burgers here at Russ' are the best in the county. We arrived as they just opened in the morning. Of course the wind was blowing 40 mph, and cold. We pulled into the parking lot and walked in. They were ready to serve us! Friendly little place, where everybody seemed to know everybody. There are 3 TV's in the rustic little place, with sports memorabilia on the walls. We split the bacon burger with fries, served on tin plates. I think our server was an owner and delivered the food promptly. It seems that the food is cooked in a trailer attached to the west side of the restaurant. While there is no smoke or smells inside the restaurant, grease covers the outside of the trailer at the vent. We sat close to the door in case there was the inevitable grease fire. The burger was okay, but for 18$, I question the value.

Nice thick, juicy hamburgers packed with fresh tomatoes and lettuce. In my opinion, the best hamburgers in Divide, Colorado. Their french fries are also ver good. Russ' Place has an excellent selection of ales and beers. I like IPA's with a hoppy flavor. read more

If you are in Divide, don't go to McGinty's, go behind it to Russ' Place. This is the local burger joint, but they have great service and a small town ambiance. I have hit this place twice for lunch and have not been disappointed. read more

On vacation with my boyfriend last year and rented a cabin near Divide. Stopped to get dinner. Bartender (and server because this is a tiny bar in a tiny town) was super friendly and from the Quad Cities (IA/IL) where I am from. Chatted about hometown things. The chicken tenders that I ordered were double breaded and were SO good, the ranch was housemade and amazing, my boyfriend got a Philly cheesesteak which was delicious. We sat on the patio by ourselves and were obsessed with the sunset view of Pikes Peak. The bartender came out and talked to us several times asking us how our food was and how we were liking the area, what we'd been doing on our vacation, very nice guy. Then, to top it off, halfway through our meal the owner pulls up with his Rottweiler, Groot. He sat right next to me on the patio being cute (might've snuck him a couple French fries) during my entire meal and was so sweet. We are coming back to Colorado this month and detouring an hour out of our route to come back to Russ's place. 12/10 would recommend. read more

Travelling from Florida, driving up through the mountains and wanted to stop at a local spot for a beer and a burger. Omg so glad we did! This place is the perfect little spot. Our bartender was amazing and welcoming. We had the mushroom Swiss burger at her recommendation and the mushrooms. The best burger I've ever had!!! Also had a local brew. The mushrooms were so good, not the typical cheap, thick breading you usually find. Definitely recommend for a burger if you're passing through. read more

We were in town on vacation and found Russ's on our last day, sadly. We thought we'd check it out to see if it'd be a good place to watch the Super Bowl. What a GREAT place!! Burgers and other food are amazing! But for our group, it was Bobby, Julz and Steve-O that really made it such a great place. They have fun working together and they let it show and make even us out of towners feel comfortable and like we were regulars. I remember saying that I'd vacation here again JUST to come back to Russ's! Thank you guys for a really great time! read more

Waitstaff was nice enough but y'all they charged us $22.50 for a burger and FIVE onion rings. The Mac and cheese they brought out was cold. The cocktail was 2/3 of the way full. Food was ok at best. read more

Not to not nit-pick as the service was good, and food was ok. However I have a couple of concerns of concerns it appears the kitchen is in another building and and they come in through a side door and the server's hair is dragged through the food as she navigates The door. Second the prep cooks shirt hasn't been wash for days I swear it would stand up on its own! and getting the bill paid was time consuming as well. read more

While the burgers were very good, the fries were blah, and the coleslaw is just shredded cabbage with ranch dressing. The main reason for the low rating is the smoking. People smoking right in the doorways and the chef was smoking just outside the back door. All that smoke was blowing in and made it impossible to even stay. We asked for boxes right away and just took our food and left. read more

Prior to today, I'd had a bacon cheeseburger to go once and that was good. Today, came in for lunch with my family. The spicy poppers with homemade ranch to start were yummy. Then, my kid spilled water and the guy waiting on us immediately came over to help us clean it up. I appreciate people being kid-friendly since I have a 2yo. Their philly is good, kids chicken tenders pretty good. My chef salad was good but wish there was more chicken on it, addition of croutons and hard boiled egg and cheese, and maybe some homemade bread on the side. We've come back several times to this spot and it's become one of our favorites. The customer service is friendly and that goes a long way especially when paired with good food. read more

Had to wait a few minutes to just place drink orders. They got busy after we arrived, but waitress was on top of everything. Food was delicious but I think the price for a burger $15 is a bit high. Don't be in a hurry, these are fresh cooked to order read more

Wow, restaurant that's clearly defying the mask wear policy openly and getting away with it. Employees no masks whatsoever. Customers walking in and out without masks unabashedly. Health Department is literally across from them. REALLY?! At least post signs for your customers that you don't care about their health so they can go somewhere else before your waitstaff hovers over their faces and their food with no mask read more

Came in with some friends who lives in the area and they bought us a late lunch at the local burger place. We were greeted as we entered and our drink orders were taken. We ended up ordering for ourselves the Hawaiian Teriyaki Burger with fries on the side and Bacon Avocado Burger with salad on the side (ranch dressing). Our orders came out, we took our first bite and loved it! Taste delicious! The fries were thick and not greasy at all! Perfect! Yummy! When we come back, we will definitely make another stop! went with my family while on vacation and we were served burnt onion rings, burnt to the point the onion had dissolved, and told sorry nothing we are going to do about it. additionally when we ordered our orders weren't completely taken before the waiter ran off, and the food was wrong when it came out, instead of remaking a burger that had been made wrong the meat was just washed off and reheated. fries were stale and overcooked and the service was mediocre at best. if you're in the area avoid this restaurant! read more

I ordered a vegan BLT without bacon and she ordered a Colorado sandwich with sliced 7 grain bread instead of a Bagel and a Matcha Tea. The food and tea were tasty. After we returned home, I took another look at the receipt. Hidden charges were very apparent. This needs to be posted on the menu as well to inform customers! For example, Colorado sandwich with 7 Grain Bread. Additional $1.60! Vegan BLT with Cheddar Cheese no Bacon Add $.60! Matcha Tea with Oat Milk $1.15 plus adding Lite Ice $.30! I truly would like to be informed of these "hidden charges" before I order. This was a grand total of $3.65! Check out the $2.96 in local fees and taxes, too! Plus, I gave a tip! ouch! I'm not sure we will return, but hope others will learn from our mistake! Thank you for sharing! Three Stars for food out of five and Service needs to be improved, too!

I saw no adults. would I go back? Not for a while. I think they need to work on getting the food out hot. I wish them luck. Doing a few little things would make this a place to stop for a bite to eat.

Russ' Place embodies what a local pub should be. The atmosphere is Excellent! Russ, Bob, Bob, and Paula are too cool and go out of their way to make your experience a good one. The drinks are great and reasonably priced and the Beer selection is always expanding. The food is great American Fare. I highly reccomend the Burgers, Boneless Wings (with their own homemade sauce) and the Green Chili Cheese Fries (with their home made Green Chili). This is our local "Cheers" and we are there at least weekly. Whether you are a pikes-peak local, or just driving passing through, you owe it to yourself to stop in and say hi! Love this place! It's our Cheers for the Divide / Woodland Park area! Friendly, Family owned business. The owners make you feel like your part of their family. Good selection of food and drinks. The food at Russ' is consistently great. The burgers are homemade onsite and they even make their own buns. Yummy! The Philly Cheesesteak and Rueben are equally as good. Everything is made to order.
