My husband and I took our granddaughters to the beach for the day and stopped at Nikola Pizza for a late lunch on the way home. My husband and I split a Nick.a- Boli our oldest granddaughter got a Personal pizza that she loved and are almost 2-year-old granddaughter got chicken tenders and applesauce. She ate pretty good of course she ate from everybody's plate. And she was like the greeter of the table lol! The Nic-a-boli was really good. The place is nice and big very airy and open! But I gotta say the best part was the sauce and the cheese they taste different. They taste authentic and fresh and it made everything at the table better! Our server was nice and very quick at the table didn't make us wait for anything having a baby with us. You know is always you gotta pay extra attention. You gotta move them along quick and she was good and also she gave us plastic cups with lids on them (extra souvenir from the trip), Also I it was the first time the baby had a drink box and she did great!! I've been a fan of Nicola for years. I miss them at the beach, but this location is large and comfortable, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking. I've always enjoyed a salad and either pizza or a Nicoboli when I come here. Today, I tried the "heart healthy" fare, including a tossed salad, a mini pizza (fat free dough and no cheese) and Nicoboli (fat free dough, no cheese with veggies snd sweet peppers. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. But I can say that the no-fat versions of the pizza and Nicoboli were both tasty and satisfying. The dough for both items was cooked perfectly, with a nice crunch and the pizza had a good amount of veggies and sauce. The Nicoboli was larger than I thought, with veggies and sweet peppers. (I might ask for a tiny amount of cheese in the Boli next time. It was good, but a little cheese inside would help hold the ingredients together. Once we cut the Boli in half and bit it, the veggies started pouring out.) I'm pleased there are a number of items on the menu for dietary concerns, including fats and cheese, which are accommodated here. I thought my time at pizza places might be over, or, at least, awkward (pulling cheese off from a slice, eating half a slice), but this is great news. Finally got to order lunch and dine in here. It is a very nice atmosphere and lots of seating. Came here around noon and got seated right away and some stopped by our table for our drink order within minutes. We ordered a Nicoboli, pizza and fries and everything was hot and delicious and served very quickly. The fries and the crust taste freshly made and we loved every bite. The service was excellent with frequent check-ins and refills on drinks. I am looking forward to trying out some pasta dishes and salads next. I would highly recommend. read more

I've only eaten here a few times, but I think it's pretty decent food! I have gotten takeout with some family and we all seemed to agree that the cheese is very thick and rubbery. I haven't gotten their regular pizzas yet, but the Pepperoni Pizza Bites are very good! One of my family members also LOVES their Fried Zucchini Bites! However I think the ranch would be better if it wasn't Hidden Valley ranch and it was restaurant made. I would give it five stars, but, make the ranch restaurant made, make the cheese less rubbery, and it'd be great and worth a 5 star review! Finally got to visit the take out area of the new (to me) location! There is a large parking lot and the walk up to the take out area was easy. The setup is very nice to accommodate lines and there are tables available to sit outside after picking up a take out order. I just got 2 slices. One pepperoni slice and one with fresh tomatoes. Don't waste your time at this location! Service was horrible! My husband went to pick up our order and the waitress/hostess gave him attitude. The guy that handed off the order told him that he needed to go to another area to get sauces instead of just getting them for him. Food is sub-par. I've had better pizza from a gas station. Wow, the new location is stunning - so large and roomy. Jenni has been before but this was my first time. Service was great, the environment comfortable, and Nicholas still walked around saying hello and asking how everything is. I used the bathroom before eating and was amazed at how neat and clean it was. I mentioned this to Nicholas and he said, "if it isn't, we might as well shut the whole place down." Anyway, we had salads, Nic-o-Boli, large cheese pizza, and a small fry. The fries were gigantic and tasted terrific with vinegar and no ketchup. The salad was large enough for us to split and our server thoughtfully brought us an extra plate. The bolis were okay after we got extra sauce but it's the pizza that's the star here: plain cheese for us and the crust is light, crispy, and delicious, the sauce slightly sweet, and the cheese thick, creamy, and delicious. The first thing is something that is kind of rare theses days, the customer service is absolutely the best that me and my family has ever experienced. This place truly wants the customer to have a great experience and if you go, you will definitely get it. As for the food we always order the same, bucket of fries and pepperoni pizza. Always very good and always fresh. If you receive food and they think it's not up to their standards they will let you know and correct it immediately and will always make it right. We went to watch the Eagles game of course we had a pitcher of Sam Adams Octoberfest, it was very cold. We had the Special $14 dollar hot wings and zucchini bites both which were excellent. At 8:15 the game wasn't on any of the bar TVs so I asked the bartender (blond, middle aged woman) if she could get the game on for us. She said "I have no control over the TVs sorry". Sent it back, they made a new one for us and it came out in less than 10 minutes, but it was cold too! Sent that one back too and cancelled the food order. My childhood and young adult memory of this place was always the most incredible Nic-a-boli to eat. I arrived at the new location a few weeks before Labor Day so there were more locals on a Friday than out of towners. The new locations is away from the beach and I truly feel that the dynamic has changed from a one block from the ocean beach restaurant versus to a town Pizza/ Italian restaurant . Service was good and the staff are very friendly. They Ask how you how is everything. I knew there is a wait for the Nic-a-bolis. I asked for extra sauce on the side the Nic-a-boli is great just as I remember, and the cheese was melting out which I love. I just I'm having a hard time the move as I no longer feel the beach vibe . they have TVs with the horse races on. The Pizza is one of the better options in the area. I think I ever prefer it over Grotto actually. I like the large bar area in the restaurant itself. The chicken parm was delicious but everything else about my experience was bad. First off I really wanted a calzone but the guy working there said they dont sell them. But in fact they do another work told me after I ordered that they were called something else and a semi version of a calzone. Very disappointed at the first experience here how a worker didnt tell me about it until I interacted with a different worker. Secondly it took over 30mins to make my order when they claimed 20min. Also the second worker slipped up too. I asked for no anchovies which he got. But I specifically asked for no peppers and olives and he said that the everything doesnt come with it. I believed him even though I read the menu. Came out that the menu was correct. Just a terrible experience and service. Not to mention the pizza wasnt good either. Friends invited us here. They are locals, and remember when this place was located down the road and they hung out here as teenagers. They really talked this place up. I ordered everything nickaboli without anchovies. It does have a lot of pizza ingredients. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. Pizza King or Hungry Howies are much better. The dough was bland, and the sauce was bland. They did have a lot of cheese in them, but overall, it was fair. I truly think our friends like it because of the nostalgia of reminiscing their teenage days. My family and I enjoyed some takeout! I preferred the beef Stromboli and my partner liked the supreme. I always love their salads with the delicious mozz cheese and chicken tenders. Always love their service and food when we dine in. But, the take out just isn't worth it. Their loyalty program barely ever works and the portions are ridiculously smaller. We ordered an Italian wedding soup for pick up and it didn't even fill 1/2 the container. Out of curiosity what I just spent money on, we measured it out and it didn't even fill a 1C measuring cup.
