We sat within view of the back kitchen and since we both come from restaurant backgrounds I can saw with authority- this kitchen runs great! Not even considering the volume they're pushing out, the quality and attention to detail is stellar. The workers held themselves to the cleanliness standards id expect to find with the owner watching, but they all appeared to be working independently and/or together when needed without supervision. I had a great time here last night. Every table has their own television which is fun for watching sports. They also have a combination of gluten free and non-gluten free pizzas. To be honest, the non-gluten free pizzas taste 100% better but it was still nice since we had someone in our party with a gluten allergy. Great pizza and salads! read more

We were passing through and this little gem was right off the freeway interchange and it had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. The staff was all really friendly and they have a great beer, wine and soda selection. The pizza was really tasty but maybe a little overpriced. This pizza place took way longer than it should have. It wasn't that busy and it was almost an hour from the time we ordered until we got our pizza. Don't bother stopping unless you have time to burn. So when our pizzas finally showed up after an hour wait, two of them were wrong and had to be re-made. Now after 1 1/2 hours we still don't have our full order. This place SUCKS!!!!!!!!! And we weren't the only angry customers waiting forever. We came here after wine tasting for a simple, no hassle meal (our first fancy choice was booked). We all got individual pizzas. The ingredients seemed to be quality but the pizzas were incredibly salty. Even considering the prosciutto on mine, which certainly adds salt, it was way over the top. Arrived 6:10 pm, ordered two pizzas. They said 35 minutes which would make it about 6:45 pm, we thought that was a long time but went with it. at 6:55 pm I asked how much longer, they said 10 minutes (which would make it 7:05 pm, or 20 minutes more than the original 35 minutes promised. Pizzas handed to us at 7:20 pm, 70 minutes after ordering and 35 minutes beyond the promised time. By the way, no effort on their part to offer a refund, or anything extra to make up for the inconvenience they caused 4 of us waiting for them. They were busy, but in our opinion that wasn't the problem, we think they missed or skipped our order. We saw a lot of people order after us and get their pizza before us. read more

I ordered a pizza and waited 60 minutes (and yes, you can be sure I timed that) before having to get up and go to the front to be told that they hadn't even rolled the dough yet. They told me I had to wait another 20 minutes for my pizza. I am not a yelper, I made this account to leave my one and only review to say that you should take your money to dominoes, or throw it into a well before going to rustic fire. They couldn't even come to my table to apologize, it's like I had to get in line to tell them that our table was being ignored. I am also not the only person who had to wait this long -- the table across from ours had one order arrive on time, while the couple they were with had to get theirs to go at the very end. Great menu with a fun variety of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and desserts, including gelato. The pizza was good, but we especially liked the salads! Very fresh ingredients and the lettuce was obviously washed and prepared in house. It is surprisingly hard to find a salad that is above average, even with the bounty of California's farms close at hand. Most restaurants use as much precut produce as possible, to reduce costs and labor (which is understandable), but the quality of the salads suffer. We shared an Italian salad, and one of my kids enjoyed a house salad, and they were both excellent. Kid's pizza combo with a drink, small pizza and a serving of gelato was a great deal too if you have younger children. read more

The only reason I marked off a star was for the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. Overall, the pizza was very good. After traveling for four hours we searched for a bite to eat and according to yelp this seemed like a perfect spot. We ordered a Neopolitan pizza and we were thoroughly impressed. The crust was thin and cooked to a perfect crisp, the toppings were fresh and abundant and it was piping hot. There is a great beer selection both on tap and bottles. However, we ordered a beer and had to remind the cashier we still didn't receive after waiting at out table for ten minutes. She was helpful and apologetic once she was aware. The dining area needed attention. Several tables needed to be bussed. I ended up cleaning our own table. Service wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. If I ever drive down again, I most likely will stop by again. read more

The manager came at 3:00 to let us know they were having some glitches and that the order was going to take another 20 minutes. This was a honest mistake but they made up for it. My son and I end up here about once a month. The pizza is solid, with a wide variety of good toppings on mostly thin crusts. Even the thick is on the thin side so you may want to find another spot if Chicago style is what you like. The beer and wine selection is good. The restaurant gets a little crowded and noisy especially during summer and holiday weekends when tourists are stopping in to eat. And there's the parking lot. Very good! We've been here several times for several years. Everything is consistently very good. This is one of the few and best Gluten Free and Dairy Free option pizza restaurants in the county. 3 out of 4 of us in our family need to eat gluten free & dairy free.
