Cole Slaw love the way the cabbage was shredded delicious sauce

Terrific Dinner with wonderful family. The Rustic Tavern is very comfortable rustic! My BIL ordered a 14oz Delmonico Steak cooked perfectly med. topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions! My SIL went with her favorite Crab Cakes these Rustic Crab Cakes are award winning and loaded with crab. My wife ordered off the Mixed Grill which allowed her to select 2 items she chose the Broiled Maine Scallops and the Breaded Shrimp and I ordered the 2LB St. Louis Ribs which were fall off the bone not over sauced ( perfectly the way I like them) all of us went with perfect sized Baked Sweet Potatoes, and Cole Slaw as our sides! Very pleasant and efficient staff made for another great experience for us and a wonderful 1st visit for my in-laws!

Delicious busy tavern. I had scallops with fresh crab chunks on a bed of risotto. Garlic bread with cheese was also amazing

Service was great! Quick, polite, honest suggestions. Definitely appreciated it. Food was good but not the best. The crab cake was tasty by itself. On the sandwich, it needed more help than just the tartar sauce. Tasted like something was missing. Same with the ribeye sandwich. It needed some razzle dazzle.

Fantastic service! Food incredible! Offering a Greek Menu for Greek Week which looked very yummy! Highly recommend!!!

Food was very good served hot and timely for our large group! Loved the servers. We had a large group of family as it was my 75th birthday.

Stopped into the Rustic Tavern in Carlisle as I was in town for the Spring Carlisle Event 2025. Chris (assuming Christine) very nice young lady. Had their Medium Filet Mignon with a garden salad and fries. Filet was very well done and butter tender. If you have the opportunity to stop in to the Rustic Tavern you'll be pleasantly surprised by the nice menu and courteous wait staff.

Um..good! I loved the Bayside Lasagna. Shrimp, scallops, and crab meat was a hit! Grilled asparagus was nicely grilled and seasoned. It cost me $23.99. Even though the restaurant was busy, the service was good. The waitress was very attentive.

My wife and I had dinner at One13 Social while we were in Carlisle for the Corvettes at Carlisle…read moreevent. The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated right away. One13 describes itself as upscale casual, which I think is an accurate description of the atmosphere. We started with the Clams Casino and She Crab Bisque. The Clams Casino were very good and quite different from what I'm used to. Rather than clams topped with bacon and breadcrumbs, One13 serves them more deconstructed, in a bucket with broth and diced bacon accompanied by toasted bread. My wife had the She Crab Bisque and enjoyed it. For our entrées, we both ordered the Salmon Caprese. They didn't ask how we wanted the salmon prepared, but I would estimate it was cooked to medium. The salmon was very good. One interesting part of the dish was the cauliflower purée, which was served cold. There was nothing wrong with it, but when something looks like mashed potatoes, your mind expects it to be hot, so the first bite caught me by surprise. My wife had a Pinot Noir with dinner while I had a Sauvignon Blanc, and both paired well with the salmon. Overall, we had a very good dinner at One13 Social and thought it was a great choice while staying in Carlisle. We parked in the nearby Comfort Inn parking garage, which also gave me a little more peace of mind about leaving the Corvette overnight. We would definitely return next year when we're back for Corvettes at Carlisle.

A cute little wine and gift shop, hosting Friday and Saturday outdoor concerts…read more We love this little wine shop, both for it's offerings, but especially for the weekend concerts and the outdoor umbrellaed tables. We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.
