Wonderful Asian fusion experience. I had the early dinner combination that they offer for those who arrive before 5:00 p.m., and it looks like that's a popular time to go. The restroom has beautiful open air / open kitchen seating indoors with decorative artwork, and patio seating outdoors. It's a very nice environment, and was quite active this night. I enjoyed the hanger steak, and the crispy oyster appetizer which was offered as a special, I believe. Everything was perfectly prepared and creative. Our server Derek was effective and cordial to our group of three. The creme brulee dessert is not the traditional...More like a chocolate mousse then I standard creme brulee. I had seen a lot of good reviews of this restaurant, so I figured I would give it a try. It did not disappoint. It is in the new shopping center of the Silverleaf housing development. They have indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. We were seated at a booth in the indoor dining area. The restaurant has several beautiful light fixtures. Our waiter, Derrick, came over and quickly took our orders. We ordered from the three course price fix menu. For 36 dollars, you can choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I had the Japanese fried chicken for an appetizer. It came with 4 good size pieces and was very tasty. For my entree, I had the scallops risotto dish. Again, a good size portion and very tasty. My husband had the hanger steak. It was also very good, and came with potatoes and vegetables. My mother in law had the swordfish. She also enjoyed her entree. The desserts were cheesecake and chocolate creme Brule. The whole meal was great and the experience was lovely. We will definitely be back. read more

I wanted to love this place because the restaurant is close to our home and I love the chef's concept for this restaurant. However it was a miss for us. We were doing a date night, I was able to book a reservation through Yelp which was great. We arrived a little early but I was surprised we were seated in the bar area. I think it may have still been happy hour and a few bar patrons or a bit on the rowdy side. Our server was the bartender who tried his best to handle both the bar partons and those set in his section but you could tell he was a bit distracted. The drinks were delicious. The food was a bit of a miss for us. Our server recommended the pork gyoza, where the gyoza set in a sauce and in the center of the dish was a citrus salad. Together there wasn't much of a flavor hit; the citrus salad alone with the sauce was good. I ordered the tandoor roasted rack of lamb. I was extremely excited about this dish because I LOVE lamb and I was intrigued on trying the Lamb with a smoky flavor that comes from the tandoor; other than the bones of the lamb being completely charred there were no remnants that the meat was cooked in a tandoor. This can also be that the lamb was covered with garnish like edible flowers and shredded carrots, and "potato churro". The meat was tender. I did like the surprise of the purple carrots under the lamb, it paired well with the Brussel sprouts and sauce on the plate. Overall there was a lot going on with that dish, if simplified I believe it would be better. My husband was not a fan of the short ribs , he didn't like that it tasted more like a stew, that he had to ask for more jus and that there was only one potato. For the two drinks, the appetizer and the two higher price entrees our total before tip was $120 and some change. For this price point we just expected a higher caliber in the flavor of the food. We ordered scallop risotto, scallop ravioli, and monkfish. All entrees were well-plated and excellent in taste. We also had a beet salad and crab beignets which were very good. I have been coming to this restaurant for a while and I am a fan. I am glad they got rid of the bartender that had always a bad attitude, he was the worse. I recently tried the sea food ramen- it was good, but I have to say that the octopus had a weird consistency, it was too soft, almost like gnocchi. Rest of the food was good. I have read the negative reviews, and I feel most reviews are from people that have very salty palates and cannot deal with appropriately season non-salty foods. The food has elaborated flavors that might be too much for simple palates to handle. Most of the time we go we get Erick to serve us, he is the best. And the cocktails are amazing. read more

Really good food. I had a brazed beef chop and my partner has the seafood pasta. Both very good. Only reason for 3-stars was due to seriously inattentive performance by our server. It was a Wednesday night, only 4 tables total were occupied. But for some reason, we waited at every turn. Even had to get the hostess to get a second round of drinks. This was our first time visiting this new restaurant located in the Silverleaf area. The staff was wonderful, special shout out to Bridgette and Kenny for taking such good care us. The restaurant was really well designed, I absolutely loved the lighting elements. There is indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. But I was really impressed with the food. We started with the Ox tail benets, which were a surprising dish, each ingredient mixes together in the perfect balance. I loved the Acorn squash, which had a velvety texture and literally felt like a warm hug. The Naan, spinach and blue cheese salad was a flavor punch, if you love blue cheese be sure to order, we thought the pomegranates were a wonderful touch. For the main entree we ordered the Scallop risotto. The scallops were buttery and silky, the fried lotus shoots such a nice crunch contrasting with the risotto. The Green beans were addictive, every time I thought I was done I found another in my hand! The sweetness of the teriyaki sauce was a nice addition of flavor. If you are looking for Asian fusion but with a totally unique approach, I would definitely try Rustica. It's so nice to have a restaurant like this in the area! read more

Cocktails were fantastic but some of the food wasn't great. The oxtail spring rolls and crispy lamb love letters were delicious. The broth for the scallop risotto was the best I've ever had but the scallops did not have the hard sear I expect and requested. The pork dumplings arrived in a sauce so they were soggy and falling apart. The fried chicken was fine but the sauce was not. I think with a little work the quality can improve. We had the BEST experience at Rustica. Our neighbors had told us how great this new restaurant was so last Wednesday, my husband and I went there on a "date night." It did not disappoint on any count. Our waitress Brigette was terrific and helpful in guiding us on our food selections -- there were so many fantastic choices...we ended up having the green been appetizer which was delicious and addictive, the braised short ribs which -- were beyond delicious and beignets for dessert -- so yummy. We sat in a booth and had a great view of the restaurant -- the bar area looked fun and you could also watch the chefs cook further back depending on where you were seated. Rustica has become our favorite restaurant in Saint Johns County. We always have fun there with the amazing, knowledgeable fun waitstaff, and the food just never misses the mark! My wife and I finally decided to try this new eatery in Silverleaf, in St. Johns county. Not sure what to expect from a French-Asian fusion, we chose to go to the early Prix Fixe menu and try a little of everything. The Japanese chicken was excellent, crisp, juicy and the dipping sauce was just right. The duck dumplings definitely had some asian flair, a little curry, but with the duck sauce, delicious. Then onto the entree. I had the Mahi, absolutely delicious crust, perfectly cooked fish. My wife had the braised short ribs, fall off the bone goodness.
