The customer service was A++ with Jess and the chef. I wouldn't normally visit this type of establishment for a couple of reasons. 1st I'm vegan and 2nd I'm not a drinker, but when my mom says she wants a burger, I Yelp the best one listed in the area and take her. Mommy LOVED it and that my friends is enough for E. . Then, not that we weren't already enjoying, the chef/proprietor made me a vegan grilled cheese . I'm so grateful. OMG!!! I just had the best chicken sandwich of my life! The Chicken Ciabatta at the Rustwater is da bomb!!! Not only that, this microbrewery was awesome! They have a great selection of diverse microbrews on tap. Both bartenders were super helpful with recommendations and samples, and the servers were also very nice! Recently visited this place to grab a sour beer and some food. They had a wide variety of beers (30 beers and ciders on tap and a beer fridge with more bottled/canned options). The staff is super friendly and attentive. Fun atmosphere and delicious food. I had the pastrami burger and it was delicious. They also have a PB&J burger which I will have to try next time but I got multiple recommendations that it's also delicious. I recommend giving this spot a try! read more

Super casual, kid friendly, tons of beer on tap. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and just noticed they are dog friendly as well. They have a delicious food menu that is reasonably priced. I was there on a Thursday evening a couple of weeks ago. It was my 4th time visiting, as I really have liked their food. This time was a bit different. First of all, it was so loud in there. I know it's a taproom, so it's not a quiet place, but when I couldn't hear the person sitting across the table from me, that was too much. The table next to us was very loud. On to the food. I have always had decent hamburgers, and their tater tots are really good! I still loved the tater tots, but my hamburger was cold. I left Rustwater thinking about that cheeseburger for the rest of the evening and for the next couple days. The most important element of a cheeseburger is a well seasoned patty - the second, is melted cheese. Saturday night is jackbox night and it's so much fun! I got the PB&J burger which I was hesitant about but I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Whoever came up with that is a GENIUS! They have a variety of drinks on tap and the staff is super friendly. The downside is that there isn't a lot of indoor seating; the tables are mostly six top tables so you'll have to be comfortable talking to and approaching strangers unless you're in a group. There are like 3 or 4 outdoor tables which is nice unless it's a chilly evening; they would benefit from having heaters! Burger arrived with a knife, as we were sharing. Suggest the single vs double. I also had one pint of beer # 6, which was a light Pilsner-Lager, European, I believe. Was light, cold, nice to have with ice-water. Like the self-service water soda ice machine. I found this restaurant via Yelp. We chose to have one of our manager luncheons here. Pretty unique location with all of the memorabilia that is spread throughout from ceiling to walls to floor. Customer service was nice. We agreed right away when we all walked in our orders were replaced and our food was prepared in a pretty decent time to where we actually were able to sit down and enjoy our meal and not feel rushed. Definitely a location that you can eat and have a lot of different conversation pieces based off of the atmosphere and the little items and trinkets that they display here. The food is pretty good. They have their own unique touch to it on how they prepare certain meals or dishes. I had the grilled cheese with a side of french fries. It was pretty neat because the grilled cheese look like the bread was French toast style with the swirl in it but then it had like a pumpernickel taste to it. Decided to take a day trip to Fairfield and tried Rustwater. Great place, friendly knowledgeable servers, reasonable price for a delicious grilled chicken sandwich and 16oz Pilsner. Whole tab plus tip was under $20 one person. Nice fenced-in outdoor seating on a beautiful warm summer day for Buddy and me. I'm easy to please in the beer department--'Give me your lightest lager or liveliest Pilsner,' but their entire beer offerings are astronomical. The burgers have a smash patty and are a decent size, not super thin. I preferred the regular cheeseburger over the PB&J burger.
