For got the meat lol. Left overs a ton.

Was a nice day to sit outside. The first batch of potatoes pancakes was blah no flavor the fish was hot and fresh. The kids did enjoy the chicken tender. Staff was nice and accommodating. We got there at the perfect time no crowds.

AYCE Fish & Chips. Combo of fried & baked.

Came here as this place won best fish & chips in the recent past years. I got the AYCE combo which came with 2 pieces of fried fish & 2 pieces of baked fish. I liked the fried portion (good, not great) but the baked was over cooked. You also get a side of coleslaw (good) & a choice of either potato pancakes, fries or home made kettle chips. Fries is the best, the other 2 options were mediocre. Service was good. Parking tough in the lot, be prepared to wait for up to 10 mins for someone to leave. However the place is crowded so I'm sure it's probably good for other things. The ambience is very casual. I did not get more than one portion of fish so they were sweet to let us take home leftovers from our plate.

Be prepared to wait, because it's worth it. They don't take reservations so we waited about hour for a table for two. They have an area where you can wait for your table. You can grab a drink and they provide snacks (popcorn and pretzels). I have to say the bartender and waitress were wonderful!! The woman at the door seating people was incredibly rude and abrasive so be prepared!! But I have to say over all great date night! The fish was amazing and perfectly breaded. Of course we will be back once you have had their fish fry you'll understand!! Give it a chance and don't let the dragon lady scare you it will get Better!!

Dinner was outstanding. We came because this is the 9th consecutive year for best fish fry. They offer two plates; there is the ACE haddock or the perch. Both picture here. Along with some fantastic potato pancakes, apple sauce and excellent coleslaw. Service was exceptional as usual.

The Fish Fry is Excellent It's been several years since we went to the Rusty Nail for fish so we gave it another visit and we're glad we did. Located in quiet little Ringwood, their parking lot, especially on fish fry Friday, is packed, but we did find a spot. There are many dining areas inside and all were pretty full, but we opted to eat out on the back patio taking advantage of the warm weather. The patio is huge and there was only one other couple there when we sat down. A few more groups sat outside during our visit. My wife ordered the Reuben Sandwich ($13.00) and a side salad for an extra $1.50. I ordered the Friday Fish Fry Special which is all you can eat haddock, baked, beer battered, or a combo of both for $16.00. I know they have several beers on tap, but don't recall what I ordered. I do remember that a 'tall' was only $3.50 and that's a pretty good deal. It was just a short wait for our meals to come out. The Reuben is a stack of juicy, tender, tasty, thin sliced corned beef piled high an marble rye with just a bit of sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing with a side pickle. The side salad had fresh greens and veggies and my wife had the house made creamy garlic dressing which our server recommended - and it was a great dressing! My fish plate had two portions of baked fish and two beer battered and fried filets. Joining the fish was a pile of what I think were battered french fries. A super light crunchy coating over the potato fry and the inside was nice and soft. The baked fish was seasoned well, just the right amount of salt, paprika and maybe some house blend. The fried fish was just the way I like it. A very thin batter covering a thick, flaky fish. The flavor is very much like the usual cod you see at fish frys. A few dabs of melted butter and fresh lemon on each bite just made both styles of fish even better. Tarter sauce is available for those that want it. I'm a big eater and had no desire for more fish, but it is all you can eat. This has to be one of the best fish frys around.

They have inside and outside seating in nicer weather.

The restaurant is very large with a variety of seating options including some interesting swings. I say interesting because it's really more of a novelty than anything; honestly, do you really want to have a seat that moves while you're eating chips with salsa? The menu is interesting, with a heavy focus on birria (think brisket, if you're unfamiliar) including in a dipped/fried taco as well as a grilled cheese sandwich, which is what I went with. While the meat in the sandwich was good, there was very little cheese to speak of, and that should be an important component of a grilled...cheese. However the chips and salsa were excellent, with some of the best chips I've had in quite some time, they really taste like more. In terms of the salsa, they are not lying with the "Diablo" in their name. If you are not a fan of spicy, stay away from the salsas as even the mild is fairly potent after a few chips. Also note that sour cream is available but doesn't tend to come WITH things by default, so be prepared to ask for that if it's a key part of your Mexican meals. Also disappointing, the tacos come with raw onions on top. This isn't mentioned on the menu, and was a very unwelcome addition to the dish. Service was a bit of a mixed bag; Jasmine was nice and attentive but struggled on some aspects, including telling us what the three salsas were when she brought them to the table, and saying that birria was a "biscuit," which thoroughly confused us. She asked if we wanted more chips and we declined, but then she brought more anyways.

The food was all excellent from the relish trays, to the beer cheese pretzel ball and mozzarella sticks. Our dinners ranged from prime ribs...fantastic by the wAy, to meatloaf, butt steak, a burger and ribeye. All were cooked wonderfully. Excellent flavor, fresh salads and nicely prepared potatoes.
