I proceed to tell him that I went all the way home to discover that when I opened my box, I noticed that my order was incorrect!!! He looks at my order (in addition to the other donuts I ordered, I wanted two twists for my daughter and received two glazed round donuts). He corrects the order and said sorry. But did not go the extra mile to make me smile. For the wasted time I had to take to go back to get the right order. Not an extra donut or perhaps a coupon to entice me to make another visit. Well, I will not be back any time soon. Cause I only went back because of my kids. Randy's won't be seeing me. :-(

Melissa was nothing short of amazing--super friendly, personable, and handled the rush like a pro. She was the only server for the entire restaurant and still managed to keep everything running smoothly. Big props to her! This spot is a hidden gem off Market St. Apparently, it's been around for a while, but I'm just now discovering it. Inside is nothing fancy, but it's got a cozy, laid-back vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Now, let's talk about the food--the catfish was fire. Well-seasoned, hot, and paired perfectly with the grits. I had to try the chicken wings too, and while $4 per wing is a little steep, the flavor made it worth it. As for the buttered sourdough, I sprinkled a little cinnamon sugar on top, and it took it to the next level! Next time, I'm definitely getting the chicken and waffles. We had breakfast at Rusty Pot Cafe this morning. We stayed in the 324 S Market St area and had sampled Fran's the morning before. What a difference! The decor is classic diner, our server was wonderful. I am not bacon/egg eater and had perhaps the best granola/yogurt/berries bowl I've ever had. My companion chose poached eggs/bacon/beans and toast. It was done as ordered. The prices are very fair for the quality of the ingredients. The reason for the 5 star rating is honestly because of their mac'n Cheese! I had other dishes when I went here, and they were all very tasty, but the mccheese, was absolutely delicious! You do have to go a bit on the early side because it tends to run out fast (I think the reason why i say it is so tasty). I'm sharing this in hopes that the service and overall experience will improve. Everything takes an unusually long time. I've visited Tal's three times in recent months, and unfortunately, the excessive wait has been consistent. During one visit, I waited more than 45 minutes for my food, only to receive the wrong meal. When I brought it to the server's attention, she acknowledged that it was indeed the wrong order but then I had to wait another 25 minutes for them to correct it. On another visit, it took nearly an hour just to receive ice water and coffee. Apparently, they needed to brew a fresh pot, which was surprising for a restaurant that primarily serves breakfast. Once the coffee was finally ready, guests who arrived after me were served first. My food took more than an hour to arrive that day, although thankfully, the order was correct. During my most recent visit, the water and coffee came right away, but the food still took an extremely long time. The servers seem to rely heavily on memory rather than writing things down, so requests are frequently forgotten. I've also watched completed orders sit on the counter for 15-20 minutes before being brought to the tables. Although the servers can be friendly, they sometimes come across as aloof - especially when guests have been waiting for an extended period. The simplest communication would go a long way. Even a quick, "I'm sorry your food is taking so long; it should be out shortly," would make a difference. Instead, you're practically ignored and left wondering whether anyone is even aware of how long you've been waiting. The lack of acknowledgment when guests enter is another issue. I've seen people walk in and receive no greeting or direction at all...not even a quick, "Welcome to Tal's, we'll be right with you," or, "Please feel free to seat yourself." Instead, guests are left standing awkwardly, unsure of what to do. Breakfast food is generally served fairly quickly, but that has not been my experience at Tal's. The food is good, which is exactly why I hope management will address the organization, communication, attentiveness, and wait times. Tal's has so much potential, but the service needs to become far more efficient for the overall experience to match the quality of the food.

As a longtime loyal customer, I expected to be treated with respect, not accused of being dishonest over a mistake that wasn't mine. What disappointed me most wasn't the missing pork chop. It was the complete lack of an apology, accountability, or basic customer service. For a fast food place, it is cute and super clean. We love it. It is nicely located in Inglewood. The service is friendly and nice. The food is great. It is well priced and they have a good selection. We love their burgers and onion rings. Their fries are also tasty. They have nice drinks and shakes. We also love their soft tacos. I wish they made their own tortillas, but the ones they use are very good. They say they have a new menu coming and I have no idea what it is. It is great as is. They also have Mexican food and breakfast items. We love their breakfast. The family pack and the kid's menu is nicely priced.
