I go down the stairs, back to my car to head back to Randy's. I reenter the drive-thru and met the young man with the grey sweatshirt and curly hair. I proceed to tell him that I went all the way home to discover that when I opened my box, I noticed that my order was incorrect!!! He looks at my order (in addition to the other donuts I ordered, I wanted two twists for my daughter and received two glazed round donuts). He corrects the order and said sorry. But did not go the extra mile to make me smile. For the wasted time I had to take to go back to get the right order. Not an extra donut or perhaps a coupon to entice me to make another visit. Well, I will not be back any time soon. Cause I only went back because of my kids. Randy's won't be seeing me. :-(

The sauce helped make up for it, but it wouldn't be something I ordered again. Roti - the curry was very sweet which surprised me. I've had this dish elsewhere and usually the curry is spicy-sweet. The roti was flaky! Strawberry bingsoo - had more syrup than I'm used to for bingsoo. Otherwise my favorite dish I tried here. It's their prerogative, but I think this place would do better with a more focused menu. Based on the other reviews, there's clearly some star dishes people routinely order so it might be cost effective for them to pare down whatever isn't doing as well. If I'm in the area, I'll give them another try and see if the dishes mentioned in the reviews are better than what I ordered.

She was the only server for the entire restaurant and still managed to keep everything running smoothly. Big props to her! This spot is a hidden gem off Market St. Apparently, it's been around for a while, but I'm just now discovering it. Inside is nothing fancy, but it's got a cozy, laid-back vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Now, let's talk about the food--the catfish was fire. Well-seasoned, hot, and paired perfectly with the grits. I had to try the chicken wings too, and while $4 per wing is a little steep, the flavor made it worth it. As for the buttered sourdough, I sprinkled a little cinnamon sugar on top, and it took it to the next level! Next time, I'm definitely getting the chicken and waffles. We had breakfast at Rusty Pot Cafe this morning. We stayed in the 324 S Market St area and had sampled Fran's the morning before. What a difference! The decor is classic diner, our server was wonderful. I am not bacon/egg eater and had perhaps the best granola/yogurt/berries bowl I've ever had. My companion chose poached eggs/bacon/beans and toast. It was done as ordered. The prices are very fair for the quality of the ingredients. The reason for the 5 star rating is honestly because of their mac'n Cheese! I had other dishes when I went here, and they were all very tasty, but the mccheese, was absolutely delicious! You do have to go a bit on the early side because it tends to run out fast (I think the reason why i say it is so tasty). I'm sharing this in hopes that the service and overall experience will improve. Everything takes an unusually long time. I've visited Tal's three times in recent months, and unfortunately, the excessive wait has been consistent. During one visit, I waited more than 45 minutes for my food, only to receive the wrong meal. When I brought it to the server's attention, she acknowledged that it was indeed the wrong order but then I had to wait another 25 minutes for them to correct it. On another visit, it took nearly an hour just to receive ice water and coffee. Apparently, they needed to brew a fresh pot, which was surprising for a restaurant that primarily serves breakfast. Once the coffee was finally ready, guests who arrived after me were served first. My food took more than an hour to arrive that day, although thankfully, the order was correct. During my most recent visit, the water and coffee came right away, but the food still took an extremely long time. The servers seem to rely heavily on memory rather than writing things down, so requests are frequently forgotten. I've also watched completed orders sit on the counter for 15-20 minutes before being brought to the tables. Although the servers can be friendly, they sometimes come across as aloof - especially when guests have been waiting for an extended period. The simplest communication would go a long way. Even a quick, "I'm sorry your food is taking so long; it should be out shortly," would make a difference. Instead, you're practically ignored and left wondering whether anyone is even aware of how long you've been waiting. The lack of acknowledgment when guests enter is another issue. I've seen people walk in and receive no greeting or direction at all...not even a quick, "Welcome to Tal's, we'll be right with you," or, "Please feel free to seat yourself." Instead, guests are left standing awkwardly, unsure of what to do. Breakfast food is generally served fairly quickly, but that has not been my experience at Tal's. The food is good, which is exactly why I hope management will address the organization, communication, attentiveness, and wait times. Tal's has so much potential, but the service needs to become far more efficient for the overall experience to match the quality of the food.

My family and I have lived in this neighborhood for over 50 years, and I've been eating at Jack's Family Kitchen since I was a child. As a longtime loyal customer, I expected to be treated with respect, not accused of being dishonest over a mistake that wasn't mine. What disappointed me most wasn't the missing pork chop. It was the complete lack of an apology, accountability, or basic customer service. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the owner because this experience was unacceptable and not how loyal customers should be treated.

I demanded my son smell the fries. He said yeah pops them shhhs are rancid or bad. I got the attention of the staff and I simply asked her to smell the fries. She refused, a gentleman came to the window and said the fries were cooked in lard. I told the young man to rethink that decision and use a clean vegetable oil. Brunos has took a turn for the worst since the new owner acquired this legendary iconic hole in the wall we grew up on.
