We took our 2014 Ford focus there 3 weeks ago because there were 3 lights on the dash concerning the brakes that wouldn't go out when my husband changed the brakes.We had taken it to another mechanic and it was the ABS control module that was bad so he changed the module and told us to take it to a Ford dealer to get the lights off. That's when we took it to Rusty Wallace, they told us that the same module that was changed was bad and they were supposed to change it.When we took the car the brakes were working,I drove it there and we get a call saying that the brakes aren't working, they can't fix it,and we can have the car towed home. So we go there to find out exactly what is going on,the service manager accused us of lying and was a jerk!! Needless to say they got the brakes working again but the lights are still on and it cost us 998.00 to get back to square one. I would never recommend this dealership for anything!! read more

Today a simple oil change won't ever occur again. If I could give the service department at this facility a 0 stars rating I would. I took my vehicle to this facility to have a factory recall issue fixed. After TWO separate visits (the first one was over an hour to confirm the problem that I ALREADY identified to them), the second for over FOUR hours (for what was supposed to be a THREE hour job). At the end of this ordeal, the service advisor and the service MANAGER both stated they could not correct the problem with my back up camera - despite what I'd been told by the Ford Customer Service representative. Ford Customer Service recommend taking the vehicle to another Ford service center in my area and frankly I'm glad I did. The second dealership identified a problem with FAULTY installation of the new wiring harness. They took pictures and showed them to me. The pictures showed bare wiring that was undoubtedly shorting out the signal to the driver's display. Rusty Wallace Ford's service department also used about half a roll of electrical tape to cover up their defective workmanship. This was a total disaster and waste of my time. I'll NEVER take my vehicle back to Rusty Wallace Ford for ANYTHING. read more

My opinion on Rusty Wallace has sadly changed from good to very dissatisfied Walt Rickman and Shane treated me very disrespectful in different ways. I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from them or Rusty Wallace ever again. Walt sold me a mustang at 4.67% interest. He left Rusty Wallace and went to Coverlet Tarr and really messed me over with 16+% interest on a Renegade. I had a foul smoke smell in my car Walt said no one had smoked in it that was a lie. After several times bringing my mustang back to get smell out. Shane told me they did all they could do and I basically had to deal with it. Never offered any kind of a dissatisfying comfront like putting me another vehicle Walt was the same way. I am glad that alot of customers like Rusty Wallace we did, but they cannot have all good reports. read more

We stopped at Rusty Wallace Ford to shop for a new Truck. I am a Ford retiree. So, I always buy Ford products. We were treated well by the salesman (John). However, after we picked the truck we wanted. Things went South. My trade was a 2017 Ford Focus. It had less than 28K miles on it and was in excellent shape. They came back with a low ball offer. My wife looked over at the sales manager and he was waving his hands in a hurry up motion, like we were taking too long and wasting his time. I counter offered their low ball offer. We were $500 apart. We watched as our Salesman presented our offer. The sales manager shook his head. He told our salesman that is my offer, take it or leave it. We could not get him to budge on my trade. We were Only $500 apart. When he refused my final off, I was so surprised and shocked. So, We walked. I went to another Ford dealer and got $750 more than their final offer. We made the deal and I took it home that night. I will never buy at Rusty Wallace Ford. Tony (The Sales Manager) refused to negotiate in fairness. Especially with a Ford Retiree. The customer may not always be right, but he is the customer and deserves better that an firm no. If more customers would walk out, perhaps they would negotiate in fairness. So here is the review I promised. It is the review you deserve. FYI, Tony. I contacted the Dealer Panel at my plant and lodged a complaint with them. They are going to follow up with Ford Motor Company. In the future, you should treat your customers with a little more respect. Especially retirees. Your competitor treated us with great respect and negotiated with us. My friend had taking her truck to get oil changed she texted me that she was headed home and they changed it the next day I get a message the truck isn't making crazy sounds that wasn't ever their before. Checked the oil and it was empty so all they did was drain her oil. That could of made the car catch fire so I'm so glad she caught it in time. Please train your workers better so they don't risk people lives again!! After having these folks service my truck for over a year I bought a new set of tires from them. The tires were not properly balanced when I drove off the lot but since we were going camping I decided to call and make an appointment to have them fix it. For the first time EVER I could not get an appointment before 2 weeks. On the first visit I asked to have my old tires put back on and just return these defective tires. I had my tires in the back of my truck. They refused. I ended up making more than 4 trips (30 mile round trip) and wasting prodigious amounts of time only to be told there was nothing more they could do for me. Each visit the tires were not right. Each time nothing was done until my husband accompanied me and saw the machine could not balance the tires! I was told they replaced 3 of the 4 tires because they were out of round. I was told they had to eat the cost of those tires - which I do not believe. I was also told that trucks just ride rough. That is also not true because my truck always rode really well and I have received compliments to that fact. When the front tires would not balance they had no solution for me other than to take it up with goodyear. They didn't even give us a contact number or person to talk to. I contacted the company that manages Rusty Wallace's businesses. I wanted to contact him directly but could not find any way to do that. I wrote a respectful letter detailing the whole sorry story hoping they could help me get a decent product for what I had paid for. Hoping someone in this company would want to do the right thing. They have yet to respond to me. $1000 isn't much for a dealer but it's a lot of money when you are still making payments on the tires that you are going to have to RE-BUY. Add to that my husband is 73 years old and we are on a fixed income. I thought this company MIGHT CARE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. Not no but heck no! I need to add that we pull a trailer with horses in it and the dealer knew that. The reason this was completely unacceptable is that it is dangerous to encounter a wobbling front end as a result of unbalanced tires while towing a heavy trailer with living beings in it! I also had previously had them repair a leaky clearance light when the truck was under warranty. Fast forward a few months and its leaking again. Thinking it would be something they would warrant I took it back to them but finding out it was a different light it was not warranted so I asked them not to fix it. I didn't trust them and I didn't want them to make another dollar off me. But then he tells me I will have to pay half hour service charge for them looking at the light 50.00. I was not happy and I asked why it wasn't covered he got nasty with me but when I asked him to please stop yelling at me he apologized and I thanked him and was trying to figure out with my husband what was the best thing to do when Robin who sold me the sub standard tires and refused to make it right - popped in and banned me from coming back. My husband took my truck to a local TIRE shop where he often does business. THEY tried to balance these tires and 3 of 4 would not balance. So now I am wondering IF they even replaced the original 3 bad tires? These folks who did not sell me the tires did not charge me for the attempt to balance them. They contacted goodyear for me and are putting on THE 3 new tires that goodyear sent to replace the DEFECTIVE TIRES that RUSTY WALLACE FORD-DANDRIDGE SOLD ME AND REFUSED TO STAND BEHIND. Needless to say the local tire shop will get ALL my tire business in the future. For anyone interested and needing tires go to MORRISTOWN TIRE in Morristown, Tennessee. They are decent people and will treat you right unlike the folks at RUSTY WALLACE FORD whose only concern is profit and their bottom line. RUSTY WALLACE FORD-DANDRIDGE SHOULD HAVE MADE THIS RIGHT. THEY SOLD ME DEFECTIVE TIRES AND REFUSED TO GET ME WORKABLE TIRES. DO NOT TRUST THESE FOLKS. THEY WILL BE ALL SMILES UNTIL AFTER YOU PAY THEN YOU ARE STUCK WITH INFERIOR EQUIPMENT. I DON'T TRUST THEM TO DO ANYTHING ON MY TRUCK. If they would deal this way over a set of tires how would they handle any issues with a new vehicle? We are from out of town and having an issue with my 3 day old explorer. While Rocky Top Ford turned us away, Rusty Wallace allowed us to come in and said they would squeeze us in even though they were booked up. We are 700 miles from home and the only thing that is making me feel better about the situation is Rusty Wallace Ford. They obviously care about their customers, highly recommend! I looked them up on line to have my car serviced and check a noise in the rear. We filled out the paperwork requesting an appointment. The web site said someone would get back to you by email in 48 hours. I heard nothing, so I drove down to the dealership in the morning thinking I could just drop it off. When I got there the two girls working the counter (service writers) told me I couldn't get my car in for 2.5 months. I learned from them that they had one auto mechanic and one diesel mechanic. I just found it funny that they had two services writers and only two mechanics. I guess nobody wants to make money any more. This place was a big waste of my time. read more

The wife and I decided to buy a bmw x5 from Rusty Wallace Ford in dandridge. What a huge mistake that was. They showed us a carfax that said the car had not been wrecked. I had a local shop check out a head light that was acting up. They had to remove the fender in order to access the head light. That is when they found the extremely poor repair work that had been done before we purchased the vehicle. The sales manager of course claimed no knowledge yet once the repairman pointed out the difference in color for both passenger door it was easy to see the front passenger door was not the original one to the vehicle. Rusty Wallace was no help what so ever in this matter. It's a shame some one like Rusty Wallace would allow this on his car lots. What's even worse....my own nephew works there....... read more

The horn on my 2019 F150 failed. After diagnosing the problem, (note: to access the horn, I had to remove the grill of the truck, 24 fasteners). I then realized the truck was still under warranty. I called service at Rusty Wallace in Dandridge, told the rep I what I had done and only wanted the horn (I was hoping they would simply give me the horn to re-install, NOPE, they have to do the install, fine). When I arrived at the scheduled time, the rep looked at the truck, I showed her the parts to be re-installed, she took the truck back to the service area. 45 min later she returned and told me they could not warranty the horn because the technician could not properly evaluate why the horn did not function (maybe plug the new unit into the wire and test.....but NO). I took the part and re-installed the horn myself. Total time for me to reassemble truck was less than 15 min. The parts manager was very helpful, but service.......not so much. While I was waiting, NO customers came into the dealership. This should have been a warning to me. I hope they got a good look at me, I'll never go back. read more

I have been here twice for an oil change since my initial review; I have had excellent, friendly customer service and expert care was taken of my vehicle. My advice, just don't bring older vehicles in for anything bigger than a tune up or oil change and you will leave happy. read more

Ive tried to use them three times now they are barely awake enough to be at work, but that's ok cause working is not something they do. Stopped by for oil change 3 times now at opening or within a few mins of it only to be told no not only can we not do it now we cant even get in a oil change today. Maybe I'm spoiled my last 2 dealers would do oil change in an hour almost any time and the one time he couldn't he did it for free.
