The creamed spinach was cooked well and tasty, but also light (4*). The molten cake was rich, indulgent and almost fudge with chocolate goodness (5*). We came here for the $55 special on a Saturday night. Our reservation was for 6:30pm and we were seated 10 minutes later. Service was quick, and our waiter was friendly. There's a dining area and a bar area. Interior is wood panel and glass with wine shelves. We started with an IPA ($9) and a blueberry mojito ($17). We had steak house salad, it came with a balsamic dressing. I particularly like the garlic veut-on crunch. We ordered a 8oz prime steak and a 16 oz steak (+$18) One steak was medium rare and the other medium. They came out perfect. Brussels sprouts were a little sweet, and the creamed spinach was ok. The atmosphere was great, and the service was nice, but not quite that great for the price tag. It's not as if we had a server for every person at the table delivering food under a cloche, but boy did the price tag feel like it should have been. For a chain steak house, they sure do charge a lot. We started with an appetizer of calamari in sweet chili sauce. The calamari was cooked perfectly. Then it was ruined by being drenched in chili sauce. It tasted like we were eating spoonfuls of sweet chili sauce rather than the somewhat delicately fried calamari with an accompanying sauce. The chef was heavy handed with the sauce and the red peppers were extremely soft--like jarred red peppers. If the sauce was served on the side and bell peppers also gently fried to keep from a slimey texture, it could have been a home run. My daughter's salad was also drenched in dressing. Whoever is cooking must love sauce. The main star of the night was the 40 oz tamahawk ribeye. It was succulent and delicious. I wondered if it was actually 40 oz. It seemed small when delivered. Another odd thing was we ordered it medium rare and it came out rare, but because they brought out 500 degree plates with butter sizzling on them, the slices cooked the rest of the way through due to the scorching hot ceramic...that is, the first few slices until our plates cooled off and then the last few slices were still rare. We asked for another hot plate to finish cooking the steak, but I think I'd rather just have my steak cooked correctly by the cook instead of having to cook my own meal on my plate. Side dishes weren't anything to write home about. We got asparagus with hollandaise--but it wasn't a true hollandaise, it was more like an aioli which I do not care for. Inedible for a hollandaise--which was cold and exactly the consistency of mayo. Not a fan. Another side was potatoes au gratin. They came out cubed and in some very orange cheese. Reminded me of a casserole. We barely picked at it and left it alone. The best side in our opinion was the sautéed mushrooms. Those were a delight along with the baguette served with butter at the start. That bread was a dream and butter was perfect. Would we try it again? Yes. Would we change our order? Likely...or ask for some things on the side. As far as steak restaurants go? There are far better for probably the same price. read more

Sat at the bar with a colleague while in town for a conference. The bar was packed but the bartender grabbed a chair to pull up so we could both sit which was extremely kind. I had amazing service at the bar during happy hour. Dylan was the waiter and he provided exceptional service. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We shared a hometown connection but he was just was amazing with every customer he encountered. My food arrived quickly and tasted delicious per usual. RC is one of my fave restaurants for steak. This time I ordered something different. First I arrived w a group of 4 others and while it didn't look very busy the service was slow initially. One person in group complained to the manager as it took 20+ mins to get our drinks. The server apologized saying they had a couple larger parties. This was my first time dining at any Ruth's Chris, and it certainly won't be my last. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Went with a large party. I ordered the ribeye, and it was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The steak had a great crust, rich beefy flavor, and the cut included a significant portion of the cap (longissimus), which was insanely flavorful -- an excellent ribeye. We decided to go all out and ordered every appetizer on the menu. Standouts were the calamari, which came with a sweet and tangy sauce that complemented the squid perfectly, and the seared ahi tuna, which was fresh with a wonderfully mild, meaty flavor. The goat cheese artichoke dip was fantastic, and the veal osso buco ravioli was rich and indulgent. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lobster bisque; it had a slightly bitter aftertaste and a hint of fishiness that didn't quite hit the mark for me. We finished with the classic cheesecake, which was rich, decadent, and absolutely amazing -- the perfect way to end the meal. Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. The waitstaff are wonderful here! The wine selection good. The calamari appetizer is great. The cooks did not seem to know what medium rare was. My petite filet came medium well or more, not even close to medium rare and I give a lot of leeway because different regions think medium rare is slightly different. Hey it still was a good steak but just letting the reader know to be aware they might not cook it to your preference. It might be required by law here I don't know. The crème brûlée was okay but it was really thick and solid, which is different than any previous crème brûlée I had elsewhere. It tasted okay. Overall a good experience here (especially with the awesome waitstaff!) but I won't be ordering steak or dessert there again. I would stick with the salads or pastas. read more

Our server was the best, attentive and sweet. She helped us through the whole dinner and even felt bad the kitchen took awhile at sending our food that she asked the manager to comp some of our menu items and upgraded our dessert. We got 2 rounds of bread as it took awhile for our food to come out. I absolutely understand a tomahawk takes a second, but 50 minutes? I had my best Christmas dinner at Ruth's Chris downtown Denver with friends tonight. A good company, delicious red wine, tender calamari, and sea bass that melted in my mouth; I'm so thankful for the year 2022 that has brought me so much happiness and peace. Had a great solo dinner here at the bar. The happy hour menu brought me in but I ended up blending the main dinner and the HH menus. My Bartendress was the amazing, Shannon. On the fence between 3 & 4 stars because I just get the feeling I'm being nickel-and-dimed. The Good: Open Table wouldn't allow finalizing of making a ressie, so I called the restaurant and snagged a spot for 3 of us 30 min later. Lady who answered the phone was helpful and gracious. Properly greeted on arrival and escorted to our table. Pleasant conversation from the host. Quiet, calming atmosphere. The Bad: Joseph was our server, and this is where things took a bit of a decline. Rapid-fire by-rote delivery of his name, menu items, bread suggestion, and their Ruby Red Martini special. We later heard him with other tables and knew exactly what he was going to say. Zero personality. (The gentleman who bussed our tables was friendly, though.) All 3 of us went with the prix fixe Steak & Lobster. There was a $2 up-charge to swap a Wedge salad for the regular green salad. No-brainer. Went with that, and I ordered their Ruby Red Martini. Joseph returns 5 min later to announce the Wedge up-charge is actually $5. Still went with it, though they should've eaten the difference. I love a good Wedge. I jokingly chided him that they should add extra bacon. Wedge comes out, and is the smallest Wedge I've ever seen. Iceberg lettuce is not an expensive item. A few sliced cherry tomatoes, a sprinkling of bleu cheese, and yes, some extra bacon. Picture attached. Was it delicious? Absolutely. Steak and lobster arrive and are flawless. Wonderful presentation. Perfectly cooked. Medium rare on my filet, and the lobster was tender, not dry. With the special prix fixe menu, we're now awaiting dessert. Yet Joseph brings the checks to us. We asked about dessert and he says he's just getting these out of the way. What? Seriously?? Did he think we were going to run? Looking at the charges, I notice I have a single price for my Ruby Red Martini. One of my friends, who ordered the same, has two charges for his drink. His base charge is $1 less than mine, yet he's hit with a $3 "Martini" charge. We call Joseph over, yet instead of reducing my friend's drink price, he explains that I was undercharged since the martini glass requires another half shot of alcohol. So I get bumped up again. This is so insanely stupid because there is no alcohol in these drinks. I had two. If I had ordered two Old Fashions in one hour I'd need to Uber out. I felt nothing. Stop with the BS charges!!! I expected these drinks to be between $16-$20. Just give me a single charge!! It would still be less than $20, but these stupid fees are absurd. Again, Joseph should've had the restaurant eat the $2 difference. It's petty. It's his error. Now we get the dessert. A beautifully presented, delicious cheesecake. And we're done. Food was the best. I'm impressed about the background story of RCSH. A single mom turning this business what it is today! As a carnivore a good steak is like Christmas when you find a trifecta of goodness! One- tender meat. Two- simple salt and pepper seasoning. Three-Price point. The third is usually not an issue since Adam D will spoil me no matter where I wanna dine or what I wanna dine on. But it's nice to be surprised. So when Ruth bought this steakhouse it was only Chris Steakhouse. When a fire destroyed the business back in 1976 she decided to move it but the steakhouse name wasn't allowed to come along. So she decided to add her name to it and the rest is history! The steak has to be cooked the Ruth Fertel way. She found a 500 degree plate that with a pat of butter gave a satisfying sound and kept the steak got to the last time. To replicate that sizzle worldwide she designed a proprietary 1800 degree broiler. We had the Cowboy and the Tbone steak. The meat was so tender! ! Seasoned really well. The age old issue about the meat bathe in butter can be solved. Be proactive and tell the staff you don't want your steak bathe in butter! They will work with you. To a carnivore like me ill make it work. It takes not more than a few words to tell them. It's worth it! Try it! The food was great overall. The Tuna Stack is worth a try. The Lobster Bisque was a good choice. I love the Lettuce Wedge. This salad was big. Almost a meal in itself for me! This was yummy! The staff was great. The timing of the food from the time you order was commendable. Ruth's Chris is a classic in every way. My boyfriend wanted to come here since he loves steak. Personally I'm not a steak girl unless it's in my burritos at the taco trucks. But for someone who's not a fan of steak they have other options! The restaurant has two options for seating. One dining and one in the bar. We sat in the bar since we wanted to watch the World Series. They started us off with some bread and butter. Who doesn't love bread and butter??? I'll wait... I also asked for olive oil and balsamic. The bread was so fresh and delicious. The service was just perfect to me. They are quick and so kind. I got the Mac and cheese with lobster and I would say that the lobster had some over cooked pieces, but the Mac just hit the spot. The cheese sauce was phenomenal. It's a huge portion too. I took half of it home and had it for leftovers. He got this big steak with some mashed potatoes which we shared and then he got the sweet potato casserole. It wasn't good to me it was just too sweet to me. Like it should be on the dessert menu. But he loved it. This was my first time here but he's been here before numerous times. We go here every Christmas Eve as a family. It's a special occasion for us. They were out of our favorite cut of meat the porter house for two. We were booked for early in the evening 6:00. Sad for those after us. Poor planning on the managers part I'd say. Then we end the night with our favorite Crème Brûlée, they were out of it also. As you can see we love this place it was a major miss this year. But because we love them so much my review takes into account the many times it's been a success. This was the first time I had even tried Ruth's Chris, at the suggestion of a friend who insisted I try the sweet potatoes. The potatoes were actually pretty good, however I showed him the portion, it appeared as though they took whatever was on the end of the serving spoon, slapped it in the container and sprinkled some walnuts on it. The serving was barely the right side of the container. I wish I had thought about taking a picture, but I was so excited to try it, his face when he saw the portion size was all I needed.
