The last time we went to a Ruth's Chris was five years ago and we were celebrating a job promotion. We went recently to celebrate the 21st birthday of a sibling. That said, this is a VERY expensive restaurant and I'd say only special occasion worthy. I do appreciate their fixed $60 menu. You can get a starter, entree, side and dessert. All were excellent portions. I even had to take some of my entree to go since we shared an appetizer and family style app. Delicious food! Can't wait for the next special occasion.

Another top notch meal. Started with Blueberry Mojito, very refreshing. Shrimp appetizer was delicious. I had one of the Summer Specials, Filet Mignon and lobster tail. Both cooked to perfection. We were thrilled to have Dylan as our waiter.

Had a lovely birthday dinner out with my husband and folks. This place is very spacious and open. Can be cozy if you get a booth. We shared the porterhouse steak with mushrooms and Brussel sprouts. If you're craving a good steak, this was the way to go! So absolutely delicious. For dessert I had creme brûlée and they brought out a mini cheesecake wishing me a Happy Birthday. No singing thankfully. Our waiter, Henry was very nice and attentive too. Overall was a great evening. Pricey place depending on what you get but great for special occasions.

Really do I need to say more! The BEST happy hour meal with a glass of delish wine!!!

I went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for happy hour and they had great deals & the food competes with any of the other steakhouses in the area. The bartender was great & although the inside was new, neat & clean the ambiance suffers from a view of the mall parking lot. Other than that it's all good. I feel like if my priority is just a great meal without all the pomp & circumstance of some other places I'll just come here and avoid some of the bs.

    RIBEYE*

I made a reservation for my mothers bday and let me start by saying we usually go to Ruth Chris every year in garden city but this time we tried the lake grove location and my server name was Malik Now Malik seemed as if he was new when taking our order we were a party of 9 and I personally ordered a ribeye steak (medium well ) the steak came out WELL DONE. I expressed how I felt to Malik and if he can resolve it I assumed he was going to get a manager but a manager never came to the table to apologize for the inconvenience He also forgot our desserts that we ordered and proceeded to bring out the bill and to go bags I am not happy with the outcome at all

My family and I went here tonight for my birthday dinner. It was quiet for a Thursday which was great. Upon arriving, the table was covered in birthday confetti and I received a handwritten card which was a nice touch. We all jumped right into entrees. While most ordered salads, my husband and I ordered steak. First off, WOW are the plates hot or what?! 500 degrees to be exact. My bone-in filet was cooked perfectly and was easy to cut. My husband's ribeye was juicy and delicious. Don't bother asking for steak sauce - it's just A1. A wonderful night was had by all!

We had a great experience celebrating my husband's birthday with a dinner for just him and I. The food was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Victoria, was very attentive and friendly. We were not able to stay for dessert due to after dinner plans, but she still came over with a small cheesecake with a candle! The manager also came over to make sure everything went well with our meal.

We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not. It was early, we had a 5pm reservation and the restaurant was pretty quiet. My friends arrived a few minutes later and we were seated immediately also in the bar area as was requested. Our waitress came over to ask about drinks then the busboy arrived with warm garlic knots and focaccia, both were very good. We ordered the gluten free fried zucchini, which I have to say I liked better then most other versions I've had. It seems they have an extensive menu of gluten free options which my friend appreciated very much. I got the Pollo Florendena which is two large chicken cutlets breaded and fried with spinach & mozzarella in a brown gravy served with vegg (string beans) and a small potato croquette. The chicken was tender, the gravy tasty and the beans not over cooked. The potato was meh. I took home most of my dinner. One friend ordered the Tortellini Aligherieri but substituted GF pasta, she enjoyed it very much. The other person ordered Vitello Saltimbocca which is veal with prosciutto, eggplant and mozz in a marsala sauce. It usually comes with veg & pot but she substituted penna in a garlic oil sauce which was very good. We had no room for dessert but there were many selections and one day I'll try. All in all a very nice meal, the restaurant has no issue making substitution, the portions are very large and prices were reasonable. The place was packed when we left at around 6:30 and I can understand why.

Cool spot with a Manhattan vibe "behind" Main Street in Patchogue…read more The reason this is key is because, since they face out to the firehouse and residential areas, parking USUALLY isn't a problem. There's a small lot that's free and you can park on Jennings. (sorry residents). We went on NYE so had to park several blocks away. No biggie. The inside is dark and cool with a city-vibe. Ample bar space and 1-4 tops an some banquet seating that lets you look out over the street. We were greeted right away by what turned out to be our server and seated promptly by the windows (we had a reservation). Also greeted by a gentleman that we think might have been her dad. The young lady hustled all night and managed the crowd well. We never waited too long for her to check in on us and she was very helpful with selecting wine and clarifying menu items. That being said, THIS IS A SMALL PLATES JOINT. People expecting full-sized portions should adjust their expectations accordingly. We did, however, order the Trastavere seafood platter (medium) which came as a tower and seemed impressive. Two types of oysters (large and medium) were presented; briny and fresh and pretty damned tasty. There was also a ceviche and tuna tartare that was, unfortunately, a bit unremarkable, as was the shrimp cocktail (though the shrimps were pretty hefty). The American "black caviar" was a nice way to commemorate the meal. Nutty with a pop of salinity but maybe something you can skip. We meant to order the Carne e Formaggi but got the Gamberetto instead which was fine as it was pretty tasty nonetheless (made with shrimp but it almost tasted like smoked salmon). Virgola Manhattan was good but pretty standard. Follow-up drink of dirty Manhattan was blissfully salty and cold. But back to the menu: we are unsure if they have an actual kitchen back there which would also explain the small plates concept and oyster and chilled fish options. The bruschetta was tasty, as mentioned, but it seems like they cut and toasted the bread and topped it with the crudo. The other bruschetta options featured ingredients from other menu items that could be re-purposed for multiple dishes. Smart but expect this. We plan on returning and trying the charcuterie board (mix and match cheeses and meats) and some cocktails. Overall, a nice night out and a nice option for dining and drinking around Patchogue. Cheers!

I spoke to a woman in the bathroom and she said even if you don't have a reservation, you can always find a spot on the grass or chairs. There's plenty of room to hang out. Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. It would end up being about equal to the bottle price and that I could take the rest of the wine home! What a nice surprise, and the fact that he pointed out made me feel like he goes above and beyond for his customers! Now let's talk about the food! I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon! The Place was sparkling clean, the table arrangements were what we asked for and the Food was out of this World. What made this event so Exceptional was the Booking with Tom, The Matre d' Kyle who facilitated everything and the Food Service Staff that was very polite and clockwork serving the Food . Each and everyone of them were very attentive to our Guests. A Special "Thank You to Kyle who knocked this event out of the Park."

The apps included: chickpea fries, Caesar salad, spicy tuna crispy rice, French onion soup, and jumbo shrimp cocktail. Entrees included: tavern burger, Monterey chicken club, cobb salad, fish & chips, roasted cauliflower 'steak', and lobster roll (either cold or warm). I went with the chickpea fries, which were very crispy on the outside and extremely creamy on the inside. It is coated in a layer of chickpea powder and then fried. It was very interesting and i'd order this again. It paired well with the harissa aioli. For my entrée, I got the beer-battered fish and chips. My fries were much thicker than everyone else's, and they also came with potato chips that tasted oily. I didn't love the fish and chips and wouldn't order this again, but my friends enjoyed their burgers, shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, and roasted cauliflower steak. Service was good. The wait staff checked on us many times to make sure everyone got their food and that our water cups were full. The outside of Mirabelle is beautiful, and we saw it being set up for a baby shower. Near the bar, there is a sticker machine that takes quarters and offers stickers featuring the Inn, espresso martinis, dirty martinis, and a burger.
