If I could rate the service department a zero, I would. From the very beginning, there was a clear lack of communication. Our parents picked up the truck on Friday while my husband was out of town. When he returned home on Saturday, he immediately noticed the exhaust tip was missing. We contacted the dealership and asked them to look into the issue. Later, we discovered the exhaust tip had been broken and thrown into the bed of the truck. Not only was something on our vehicle damaged while in their care, but no one bothered to inform us. This is unacceptable customer service. We are extremely dissatisfied with how this was handled and with the lack of accountability. We will never do business with Ryan Ford again. read more

Be careful, everything was going great until it was time to close the deal. Their finance offered a good deal: my bank offered a better one. Was told I could not buy unless I used their finance and was DENIED the sale. Explanation given from their end was "Management" determined it was in the best interest of the company to sell to customers who use their financing. Now, I can't be mad at this even though it is kind of shady. The problem here is from the start of the sale process I declared I have my own financing ready. They wanted me to go through the process to see if their offer would be better, which I did give them the chance. Not once was I told I could not use my own financing or the only way i could buy from them was to use their financing. * update - was told " I was missing the point" , they could not hold a car for a week in "hopes"of a payment coming through. I've used my bank with the last 3 car purchases all at different locations and never have had this be an issue. Yes, the dealerships don't like it because it makes them wait to get paid but none of those 3 denied me a sale because of it. 2nd excuse was somebody else is ready to sign using their finance and if i don't agree to use their finance ( which is more expensive to me ) they are going to give the deal to the customer who will use their finance. If this is not a prime example of a strong arm tactic, then I don't know what is. On my end I had everything ready with my bank. All I needed them to do was write up the agreement so I could sign and begin the process of preparing payment for them which they REFUSED to do unless I went with their finance. Now I get waiting for payment is an inconvenience for them but it should be if that is what works best for the customer. As far as pitting customers against each other to get 1 to move 1st, the oldest (though often times true ) trick in the sales book. Whether in this situation was true or not, I don't know. What I do know is business ethics and integrity. If your customer is ready to sign, then let them sign. Don't push them into a corner, try to make them sign your way and threaten to take the deal away if they don't. Even if the deal did fall apart, what kind of confidence do you have in your sales team they would not be able to sell the vehicle again that you have to resort to bullying methods to get a deal done. I'm sure more deals fall through for other reasons than a customer using their own financing . As an example, let me share how the buying process went for me at a different dealership. Me - I want buy this car and use my own financing. Seller - great! We can sell you the car however we can not release it to you until we are funded by your bank. This may take up to two weeks. You can use our financing and leave with it today. What would you like to do ? Me - start the paperwork, here is a VBC so you have my banks info to get the ball rolling. I'll be back tomorrow with a paper check. Seller - perfect! The next day. Paper Check is delivered. Agreement is signed. Hands are shook , keys and vehicle are released. Bought brand new F-150 Lariat in May, it's been to service department 5 times. Horrible service department, they never fix the problem. Pick up/drop off service is horrible, don't do it. They will smoke in your vehicle. Service department takes no pride in their work. If they have to work inside the vehicle, make sure they don't scratch it all up like they did mine. Run!!! On January the 6th we had that most amazing experience with purchasing our truck and all who was involved. The nightmare started after. We had a trade in and I started asking about 10 days later when I started getting calls from our lender and contacted Ryan Ford and asked when they were going to pay off the balance of our trade-in and they told me it takes 10 business days which was close. Well this went into February and still no payoff on our vehicle. I was told by Ryan Ford I can make a payment on our old loan. Why should I make a payment on my old loan when I needed to make a payment on my new loan. So I emailed multiple times and they finally told me it was overnighted at the end of February and then It was finally received in March and I had to still make a payment for the difference as they didn't send enough to pay off our trade in. So now we have been hit on our credit with late payments on our credit which knocked our credit on all 3 credit bureau's over 100 points. I let them know and told me to disputed it which I did but Ally didn't care and verified my payments were late so they are staying on our credit. I emailed them at Ryan a couple days ago to let them know and I have been totally ignored. I have worked so hard to try and fix our credit that was damaged in during Covid and now i have to start over. We had our hearts on purchasing jet skis this summer and they take a higher credit score which we were almost there and we have been planning on these for the last 3 years and now that is gone. I don't recommend them. I really liked them but they got their sale and don't care about what they do to the customer after you walk out their door. read more

I have used Ryan's service department for a number of years and was always very pleased with the quick, quality service done on my F250. I no longer feel that way after my experience today!!! I had a 9am appointment that I made days in advance for an oil change, state inspection, and tire rotation. I dropped my truck off at 9 am as scheduled and was greeted by new faces - the old faces I came to recognize and trust were gone. I told the young lady that greeted me I would be back between 3 and 4 pm to pick it back up. She said she would call to keep me updated - that never happened. I returned just past 4pm and that same young lady seemed clueless. She had to go find out the status of my vehicle. She finally came back and told me the tech said he had "another 30 minutes". Well over an hour later, my truck was finally finished. That service took 8 hours!!!! Unacceptable!!! Deeply disappointed in how Ryan's service department is being run. James and i were ready to purchase a vehicle same day or bc we would need to get a check from the bank, it would have been the very next day. We would never expect a dealership to hold a vehicle for A WEEK. This dealership is greedy and shows lack of customer service. I stopped by a ford dealership close to my home (College Station) where the service department was rude and demeaning. They told me they were busy and could not look at my car for fours day and would probably take several weeks to fix. I drove to Sealy (over an hour) to Ryan Ford which was recommended to me by family. Brad was fantastic and the service department were communicative, attentive and gave me confidence. I came to the service department here because I had head good things about the new car sales side so I figured it must be good... figured that being way out in Sealy they must have good customer service to keep people coming back... Well I was wrong. I called about an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, alignment, and recall on my 2015 vehicle. I asked for a loaner vehicle while they had my vehicle and book two weeks out because that was the first time they could guarantee a loaner. I showed up on August 27th, 2018 for my appointment with Clayton to find that he didn't have any loaners. 90 minutes drive and waiting time down the drain! He committed to calling me when one was available so I could bring the van in - here I am writing this on September 19th, 2018 and haven't heard anything. I've called to find that their service coordinator (Tony) is no longer working there. I have also left 2 voicemails with Clayton and heard nothing back. Definitely will not recommend to friends, family, or fellow Yelpers. They're not worth the extra drive for worse service than I can already get in town. read more

Multiple trips to the service department, and I drove around a brand new vehicle for 4 months with a leaking exhaust. After multiple calls and conversations, they still couldn't figure it out. Turns out I had to go scour the web and the forums before I found other owners with the same problem. Service advisor would just ignore my calls. I got management involved with no change in results. I even called Ford Corporate Customer Service, and the Corporate rep said they had a hard time getting a hold of the service advisor because they wouldn't return her calls. Asked the service department to check the exhaust and came back to the service department. After some time, the manager finally gets back to me. They finally fixed the problem. All the meanwhile, they will hold onto your car for a very long time and refuse to give you a loaner. So expect to be without your car for some time. Eventually, after many calls back and forth with the manager and Ford Corporate, they decide to give me a loaner the second time I come back to get service. Again a year later or so, came in with another problem with the window. Minimal explanation regarding what they did to address the problem. The frameless door won't latch properly. Now, the window will roll down slightly when you unlock the car. So it's back to the service department again. I'll give one additional star since they started offering pick up and delivery service, which is nice. Other than that, I can't recommend the service department until they consistently and skillfully do a better job. I would definitely be open to writing an addendum to this review when they do because the most recent service advisor I talked to seem to have a much better communication style, even if they didn't fix the actual issue and save me from having to make another trip to the service department again. read more

I placed a new truck on order from this dealership in mid-December of 2021 and still do not have a vehicle or estimated delivery. I placed my down payment and received a signed build sheet from the dealership. As well as an order receipt letter from Ford Motor Company dated December 21st 2021. This dealership lied to me promising 8 to 12 weeks in writing in an Email. For Qty-2 months this dealership would not return an email or voicemail until I called and asked to speak with someone other than who sold me the Truck. I have been a loyal and repeat customer purchasing Qty-2 $50K plus each SUVs in the past 9 years from this Dealership. I tend to over-research cars. I go to at least 2 dealerships. This past weekend, we went to two before we made it to Ryan Ford. We should've gone there first and saved us the six hours we wasted. Go see Tommy and Fred. Tommy was our sales person. Such a nice and honest guy. He worked very hard for us. Then once you get over to finance, I hope you get Fred. He really helped us out. Got us where we wanted. Everyone usually dreads the finance part of the process but Fred was great. He really worked with our budget and went beyond the norm. Buying a car can be stressful. We had a great experience buying our truck here. Unfortunately, the service department is lacking these days which is sad because we love supporting small town local folks. I made an appointment for 10 am and got there about 9:55. I checked in and noticed no other cars there. I went inside and there was no one else waiting so I thought "Great! It will be quick!" Well, I was wrong. I asked several times for an estimate for how much longer (once at the hour mark and once at the hour and a half mark) since I had an appointment I needed to be at at noon. It took TWO hours for an oil change and tire rotation- when there was literally no one else in the waiting area the entire time I was there. Then I go to pay and the total is 215 bucks- For an oil change and tire rotation!!!! I could have driven to Katy, had the oil changed for half the price, and made it back home all in the time it took me to sit there and wait. Then I still had a 25 minute drive home. Not to mention I missed my appointment because it wasn't like I could drive off with the tires not on the truck- I HAD to sit there waiting. Very frustrating. Hopefully they figure it out because it's a great dealership and a great location. read more

I was in the auto industry for 7 years and this is the only place I will buy a Ford. They don't play games and everything is above board. If you are in the market and you don't give this dealership a shot you are probably going to cost yourself thousands of dollars. My salesman Curtis was really professional. Will never recommend Ryan Ford. Bought a brand new F150 platinum from here in late March of 2020, nicest truck I had ever bought. A few months after purchase I began to experience a rattling and shaking when I would idle. The whole truck would begin to rattle and shake and then completely die. I would then have to put the truck back in park and start it back up. After this happened once or twice I scheduled a service appointment at Ryan Ford. They had it for a day or so and told me they could not replicate the issue. I then picked up the truck and over the next few months the rattling in shaking began to happen a few times a day instead of once or twice a week. I made another service appointment and this time ryan ford had it for a few days and still said they couldn't replicate the problem. Waited another month after the issue continued to worsen and once again they had it for a few days and said they couldn't replicate the issue! I moved to central texas in august of 2021 and in October of 2021 I took the truck to Griffith Ford to have them try and figure out the rattling and shaking issue. After a few weeks they were able to diagnosis it as a oil pump issue and ordered a new one. After the new pump was installed the issue still persisted. Now I'm being told that the entire engine has to be replaced and that it could be another 6 months until a get my truck back. That will make almost a full year that I've been without my truck and still having to make payments on it! If Ryan Ford would've taken the time to actually look into the rattling and shaking issue over a year and a half ago then maybe I wouldn't be dealing with this mess. But nobody there seems to care about customer service or making the issue right and giving me a new truck. I've emailed Chancy and Brad multiple times with no response. They were quick to take my money when I purchased the vehicle but have not made in effort to make the situation right. 0/10 would recommend read more

Little update to previous experience. Spent over 6,000 at Ryan Do not go to Ryan Ford, take your time and money to Katy ford. Slightly more expensive but worth the time and more economical. Two months having my vehicle , yes Ryan two months almost which you previously denied but is true and the issues were not completed. Issues of concern were not met. Ryan can make all the excuses in the world but this is undeniable. Was told all tire sensors were bad and needed replacement at what 80 something per tire plus labor (after telling them i knew which was bad) took to discount and yes one was bad and sent their quoted 500 plus job to 60 to do the job. Complete fraud and dishonest repair quote. Told my complete engine wire harness was needing replacement at the tune of 1500 plus probably upwards of another 2000, after replacement of sensors at my cost that didnt do the initial job,,,, and another dealer fixed the job for 800 with knowledge and experience of wiring for a Ford truck. You can do the math there. Again dishonest or simply lack of knowledge. You can choose where to go for fixes from that. Told my oil leak, that I was still experiencing after having it for two months to cure was residual by Ryan Ford after the thousands i spent to get rid of and wait for it , the oil leak i was "still" having was coming from the lower oil pan that Ryan had supposedly fixed and has since been fixed at another dealer Katy Ford on warranty repair due to Ryan repair not done correctly. Never addressed my check engine light for the two months they had my truck even after asking , guess they assumed it was due to low fuel pressure signal (for which they spent thousands of my dollars chasing with sensors and ultimate decision it needed "complete" engine wire harness change to fix. when i told them the actual code p0401. Not done with this discussion, and will add more but the total lack in professionalism afforded by Ryan himself in last review and the lack of diagnosis skills buy their service department and lack of experience of the service department techs themselves along with the many excuses as to the time it took, tells me to tell you to drive to Katy Ford and let their experience and there professionalism to take control of your vehicle and its outcome to your pocket Also purchased on the low end side a license plate bracket and never received it as the tailgate cover I purchased was merely thrown in the back seat for me to apply Have so much more I could add, because so much was not done at Ryan that I paid for but was completed at Katy Ford at more expense to me of course ,,,, but again after spending roughly 6000 out of pocket to Ryan another 2000 to a competent Katy Ford dealer to fix everything they did not , I simply should have gone to Katy Ford first. Again, do not go to Ryan expecting any competence from neither the service department nor the owner I have many emails and phone recorded calls to show the lack of competence with Ryan Ford and a complete detailed list of emails and complete competence shown by Katy Ford to back my journey for anyone to look at if this story is questioned Mike read more

Looking for a used car online for my 16 year old son and came across a listing for a Mustang that did not have a price, as it was new inventory.I clicked the icon for more information and received a quote within one business day. About 90% of the discussions were handled via email. When we agreed to a price, I made the drive from Magnolia to Sealy (65 miles one way) and they had no problem letting me sign a binder and letting my mechanic check out the car before I committed to buy it. Wasted an incredible amount of my time pushing, waiting on appraisals, etc. I decided to buy the used, after no response from the new car salesman, called at 10:20 am to tell the used car manager I wanted the truck, he said he'd check into what it would take to install the gooseneck hitch and call me right back. He called after 1pm to tell me someone was there and made an offer, they were trying to get financing - said he didnt think it would go thru and he'd call me back. Never did, at 2:30 I called back to find out the financing had gone thru. When I asked what time the other person made the offer, he said 10 minutes before I called although he made absolutly no mention of that in the morning. For me, the experience was quite deceitful and pushy. No apologies were offered. Called and left a message for the General Manager letting him know my disappointment. I bought a Truck which happened to have a roof leak; I tried to contact the sales guy on the third week after the purchase (when I found out about the leak due to a big rain) and it took him a couple of days to respond; then he stated that I had to pay for repairs because it was already more than 29 days of the purchase. I took the truck to have it checked and their maintenance staff could not fix or find the leak; yet they wanted me to buy a gasket for a couple of hundreds to install it on the stop light to "see if that could fix the problem". I had to take time off work and drive from Houston to Sealy just to hear that lame response... this was by far my worse experience buying a vehicle, I do not know about other people's experiences but I do know about mine and it wasn't pleasant so If I am asked if I would recommend this dealership my response is a BIG NO-NO!! read more

They wasted my time as I went there for a 2014 Volvo XC60 Platinum and the car was a Premier. This is a $6,000 price difference. Also the car is still listed on there website with a lot of options that it just doesn't have, such as Navigation, Power Liftgate, Back-Up Camera.
