We contacted Rymes and spoke with Carrie to inquire about who could repair a propane connection inside of our fireplace. She indicated she would find out and call us back. She did call back and scheduled the respective tech the next day. The gentleman came out and resolved the matter within minutes. He was friendly and thanked us for doing business with them. Received an invoice for an account which was closed two years ago. The first agent I spoke with understood and agreed to fix the problem. Written confirmation was requested but not received. A week later a second agent could find no record of my prior call, leaving the question open as to whether the invalid charge was reversed. A third call routed me to an agent who cared enough to open the customer file and read it. I believe that the issue is resolved, pending promised written confirmation. The lesson apparently is .. keep calling until you get through to an agent who is willing and able to help. read more

Since the acquisition by Superior what was once a great company has now sunken into the abyss. Every interaction is not without extreme inconvenience to the customer. I tried to use the online portal to request a delivery which used to take a few minutes, today I was forced to call for a delivery because their estimate was that I had only 7% in my tank when I have between 25 - 30%. I am now sitting here waiting in a queue for no good reason except to punish those who are not on auto delivery. Once this season is over, your tank in gone and I will own my own. We were Fred Fuller customers beginning in October 1990! We had been on automatic delivery since day 1. Fuller sold out to Rymes, who has since been acquired by Superior Plus Propane. The quality of service has slowly been dropping. Today was the last straw. We were running low on oil, so two days ago I logged onto their website to schedule a delivery, despite being signed up for automatic delivery. I input that we only had 1/8of a tank left! I was informed that a ticket had already been pulled and we would receive delivery shortly. This morning I called, waited over 20 mins. for somebody to answer. The person tried contacting dispatch, but couldn't get through. I was told that I'd get a call back. I called again 2+ hours later, waited over a half hour for a human. The person was very nice, but in the end told me that they had no drivers and I couldn't get oil delivered until next week! I told him we'd likely run out the next day. Didn't matter. We called another oil provider and they were at our home within an hour! Oh, and their price per gallon was significantly lower! A half hour after getting our delivery from the other company, a person from Rymes called to confirm the Monday delivery. I told her there was no need to come on Monday or ever again for that matter. I don't know what's happened to Rymes, but I would avoid them at all costs. read more

In December of 2024 Rymes replaced our 50+ year oil tank. Shortly thereafter we began to experience cycling issues with our 4 year old furnace. After many attempts by 3 different furnace repair companies (including Rymes) to accurately diagnose the cycling issue and therefor successfully conduct the repair, we struck gold with Eagle Pride Heating and Cooling. Josh from Eagle Pride discovered excessive sludge in the burner of our furnace which caused the on and off (cycling) issue. It appears that when our new oil tank was installed by Rymes, the oil which was in the old tank either was not put thru a filtration process OR not filtered adequately before being pumped into our new oil tank, hence the sludge. A filter was installed at the base of the new oil tank and we were given 3 bottles of WP-3 one bottle to be emptied into the oil tank upon our next three oil deliveries. Beginning February 18th I made several attempts to speak with a Representative at Rymes to discuss our issue via phone and then by certified letter. After 60 days I was finally promised a full refund for our out of pocket expenses which was in excess of $500.00, to repair our furnace by " Jessica" a Rymes Representative. Three weeks later and no refund as promised, I spoke with Scott Giguere, Area Operations Manager at Rymes who promised to "be on top" of my refund and get back to me three days later which would be Friday April 17th. Ten minutes before the end of the workday on April 17th, having not heard from Scott, I called Rymes and asked to speak with him. I was told Scott was busy and would return my call very first thing on Monday, April 20th which is today. It is now past 3:00 PM and CRICKETS, no contact from Scott. I have been a customer of Rymes since it was Fred Fuller for over 30 years. Since it has been acquired by Superior Plus Propane it has become in my personal experience and personal opinion, disreputable. The representatives make commitments that are not upheld. When I asked for a number for their Corporate office, I was told there was not one. The two times in which they returned my call, the number came through as unidentified and when I scrolled back through my incoming calls I was unable to view the number from which they called. It is very cloak and dagger. What kind of business does not know the number of their corporate office and blocks the number from which they are calling?? Since Rymes appears to have no qualms making bogus promises to a senior citizen on a fixed income, I have contacted the BBB of New Hampshire and filed a formal complaint. I encourage anyone that has experienced an issue with Rymes as I have, to reach out to the Better Business Bureau of New Hampshire and file a complaint. You can also file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the New Hampshire Attorney General, which is my next step if I do not receive my promised refund. Paying way above market price for oil.. I do not understand why they are charging $4.5 where other places are going for $3.2

I was a Fred Fuller customer for a long time. Rhymes delivered 100 gallons of heating oil for $4.99 a gallon a few days ago. That will be the last oil I ever buy from these a**holes. It also seema like just about everyone is having issues with them. i think a call to the NH Attorney General about their practices might be necessary. Twice they have left me without oil during the winter. First time I was removed from their auto delivery system because my debit card was changed and it took a phone call to get paid. I didn't realize this until I ran out. Second time they hadn't delivered oil in 4 months. No one would answer their phone. I received a delivery promise through emails that they would deliver the week before Christmas. No delivery. I spent all Christmas weekend filling my tank with diesel so I wouldn't run out. They showed up the following Monday afternoon after I left a message with them that I had hired a new oil company. read more

I called several times over a week at different times of day to place an order for my senior father. Their line just rang and rang. I finally emailed them and got a quick response only to find out their price for the senior discounted HHO was over $.20 the average price of HHO at the time. Not worth the time or effort read more

I just went on line to order oil. I checked Rymes, as I have used them in the past. They were 77 cents a gallon more than the other vendor I use. I know they have a "matching" policy, but why do I want to waste my time going through the hassle. Is the new owner trying to pay the transaction off in one heating season?? read more

The office was fantastic when the church had an unexpected issue in December, they were able to assist us quickly and followed up to make sure that we were all set. This company is not customer friendly - find someone else...anyone else... Ran out of fuel oil and they said they could not come out for two days. Call on the second day and said I was out of fuel, house was 47 degrees when are they coming. They called back with in 30 minutes and said 1 hr. Driver came and left, I pushed the reset and furnace did not start. Called the company and they said had they known I was out of fuel, the driver could come in to bleed and reset the furnace. Hmm, if only they had known...now I have to pay a technician $125 when he comes sometime later today... read more

I called to have my furnace repaired and they sent out 2 technicians to repair it and 2 days later the furnace was leaking again.............this went on for weeks and they charged me a service call every time. I finally got fed up and called one of the managers and he was very, very rude. So I told them I wanted my money back and to close my account because nobody really cared about my problems with my furnace or that I was getting charged all this money. Management was rude and it was just a horrible experience and I will never use them again!! I went to Londonderry Plumbing and they had it fixed in a day and I have not had any problems since. read more
