so excited that i finally got the chance to try this place out! the past couple times i've been in the area it's either been too late at night or the people i was with got intimated by the line. i came by on a Saturday mid day so line was reasonably long and outside the building but it moved pretty steadily i would say i maybe waited 20 minutes? the menu is pretty large for a poke place and my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach everything sounded delicious i really don't think you can go wrong! do keep in mind that bowls are prepared in the back of house and each one has its own set of toppings with a few additional you can add on but it's not like a customize your bowl type of vibe. the guy who took my order was super sweet and friendly! i ended up getting a 2 scoop bowl so i could try the ahi and salmon and for flavors i got firecracker and ponzu crunch. my order came out within 10 minutes and while the actual space is pretty small, seating opens up often and i was able to get a seat while i waited. the poke itself is definitely worth all the buzz and hype, its super fresh and the flavors are so balanced and delicious! i was hesitant to get a two scoop at first because sometimes i get the fish ick, but that didn't happen at all with this plate. whenever im in the area i would definitely wait in a long line for this bowl again #worthit read more

Got to finally see what all the hype was with Ry's... and wow was it good! This small shop is serving up some fresh poke with a simple menu of poke bowls, poke salad, and poke by the pound. I got the regular poke bowl with salmon, california style. The fish was so yummy and cut into the perfect bite sized pieces. I loved the addition of the imitation crab and onion with the california style. The rice was also perfectly seasoned. We also got the tortilla chips and seaweed salad on the side. Putting everything together made the perfect bite. There is limited seating inside, so keep that in mind. Our first time was a litrle overwhelming so we chose quickly without really reading through each flavor. We had the spicy Hawaiian and lao ahi. However, here, not only is there a line to order but you're also waiting again after you pay. Quite possibly the best tasting fish/poke I have had in OC! Had to get the two fish (salmon and ahi) rice bowl to try both! You get to choose two flavors (one for each fish) got the shoyu and spicy Hawaiian. Both were pretty good and flavorful! The fish was so soft and fresh, it brought me back to Hawaii! The trash bin was overloaded, they needed to bring a second trash bin out cuz the one inside was overloading. I would invest in some more help to clean and wipe counters down.
