Once my car was transferred to the auto body shop, it became a completely separate system, team, and process--and the two sides clearly do not communicate. This disconnect caused confusion around payments, delays, and unnecessary out-of-pocket costs on my end, including having to pay $700 for a rental car that I originally was told I wouldn't need for that long. I was told my car would be dropped off in Novato once I made a payment. I paid the auto body shop, but the repair shop had a separate payment link that I couldn't access from my phone. I showed them the issue in real time, but instead of helping or offering another way to pay, they dismissed it and said it "worked fine" for them. Because of miscommunication between their teams, my car was not actually in Novato as promised, and I had to wait around for them to figure it out, which caused even more delays and inconvenience. On top of that, the person I was dealing with refused to call and help coordinate getting my car released or delivered until I paid through their system, even though their payment link was not working properly for me, which delayed me further and resulted in additional out-of-pocket costs due to their poor communication. No one took ownership of the situation, and the staff was rude and dismissive throughout the process. While the repair work itself may have been completed, the experience across both businesses was disorganized, unprofessional, and lacked basic customer service. I would not recommend.

    DO NOT GO HERE! They…read moreblatantly violated BAR regulations by failing to get written authorization for work, and then they "found" more work once they started and added 60% to the bill! Even WORSE is they wrote down my credit card information and charged it WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. They offered to fix my truck without a warranty, then when I complained they said they'd warranty the work "out of the goodness of their heart". This shop is a joke. Bait and switch leveraged work that they force you into doing. Pressure is their game. Jason, the manager, is an pushy, arrogant, and threatening. He called to try and strongarm me to not file a report with the BAR and refused to have the actual owner call me to avoid the report I filed. I wanted to speak to the actual owner before getting CA BAR involved, but Jason's attitude and lack of respect forced my hand. He literally writes cc information on pieces of paper and holds them until later. When I questioned this, he kept repeating the line that "any personal credit card information is destroyed at the end of the day." How? You literally jotted it down on scratch paper and then threw it away? Did you shred it? Use any proper document disposal?? This shop will get you to do $500 worth of work and then call you with other things they "find" and it's quickly $5000. They don't stand by their work, and their owner is too scared or too disengaged to deal with unhappy customers directly. The BAR will be contacting you shortly. The 11 page report I filed was very detailed.
