There was one small glitch on measurements on 2 cabinet doors but they were back in a few days with the right doors and everything looks and works great. My one minor dislike is their standard payment terms which require use of an direct withdrawal from your checking account. I don't do this for one time transactions due to the risk of bank account information being hacked but ask them to be flexible in how you pay... Would definitely use them again. read more

My 12 foot closet shelf collapsed in January. Since I have a LOT of clothing, I knew I needed a custom solution to evenly distribute the weight. She measured the closet, showed me a couple of wood samples, and sent me a design mockup the following day. I didn't have any changes since she nailed the design from the get-go. Ellen was fantastic throughout the entire process -- 1) Quote process: Ellen visited the house to do measurements and give opinions (including what construction might be needed); invited us to the showroom to look at colors/metal options; quickly made changes to quote based on our opinions (such as changing material; style, etc. ). I've been looking to upgrade our master bedroom closet storage. Our closet was original to our home built in 1985. We did our research and initially considered the IKEA PAX system for $2000.00. However, everything was on backorder for the white version, and the thought of tackling IKEA instructions was daunting. We also explored big box stores: the Container Store system was only metal racks and priced upwards of $3800.00, while Lowes and Home Depot modular systems were about $2500-$3000 for the configuration we wanted. We had S & S cabinets install cabinets in our garage about 7 years ago. The cabinets are great quality and they look great. It's helped to get organized and it has enabled us to fit 2 cars in the garage. This has really prolong the lives of our cars. It is a tight fit to park both cars and recently, we misjudged the distance from the to the cabinets and bumped into the cabinet doors. This knocked the hinges off the doors. This was completely our fault. I called S & S cabinets and they asked me to send photos of the damage. They scheduled the repair the next day. We went through a design process and our designer was very accommodating, providing insight as well as valuable suggestions when we didn't have a particular opinion in an area. The mockups are all done in 3D and provide great visualization to what the final product will be. When the day came, it was a 3 day project with 3 people and I can say the team values perfection. If you see the pictures you'll notice everything is straight, aligned, well caulked, perfect. Although everything is custom ordered, the team can cut parts on site for last minute changes and slight adjustments wherever some measurement didn't come out perfect. We needed some cabinets and slat wall for our very disorganized garage. We chose s&s because they were responsive and we liked the look of their cabinets. Pros - 1. designer came out within a few days and was responsive to our ideas and had some good ones of her own 2. Good looking and good quality cabinets 3. Price was median compared to other quotes 4. Awesome slat wall!! Cons: 1. Installation was about two months after design consultation because they are so busy. 2. As installation was happening there were a few design flaws. One cabinet was too tall and hit the garage door. Thankfully they were able to fix on site that day. Second was noticed after they left - when the upper cabinet opened it hit the ceiling fan. Again we called them and they came to fix it by raising up our fan without a problem. 3. Lastly we noticed about a month after install a weird brown stain appearing on our slat wall. It doesn't wash off and seems to be some reaction from the sunlight. I texted one of the employees with a photo and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I never heard from him. I texted again a few weeks later and never got a response. I'd love to recommend them but not sure if I could since they have not responded to this issue. read more

If I could give them ten stars I would! Alice Riiski came out and measured our super messy, piled to the brim closets and then sat down with her laptop and knocked out a design lightening quick! She knows her stuff! They have this great CAD software that helped us visualize exactly what she was suggesting, and then we tweaked it until it was perfect. Alice gave us some excellent suggestions along with the picture in our heads, and the results are STUNNING. Not a thing in our house is square, plumb or level, and the install team worked their magic with shims and trim and it looks like the closets were built with the home. The install is secure and well done, and the shelves are sturdy and durable. We love the bins and drawer options too. My closet has soft close, full extension drawers! I was worried that the organizer would leave us with less space, but we have empty drawers and shelves it holds so much. The team worked fast and patched up the holes from taking down our original rods and shelves, and hauled away everything. The install took one day for the master and guest room closets, and they worked so clean. I have horrible dust allergies and there was no issue at all sleeping in my bedroom that night.
